Abstract

The Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has implemented a transformation framework within the healthcare sector since 2022, aiming for completion by 2024. Hospitals are integral to this transformation, making employee work engagement a critical factor. Preliminary findings indicate significant challenges related to work engagement among certain employees at Rajawali Citra General Hospital. It has been established that positive leadership styles, particularly transformational leadership, coupled with psychological ownership among employees, can enhance work engagement and improve performance in daily responsibilities. This quantitative study objects to investigate the influence of transformational leadership on work engagement, with psychological ownership serving as a mediating variable. Data were collected through purposive sampling, targeting employees with a minimum tenure of one year who have engaged with the hospital director. An online questionnaire was administered to 129 eligible respondents. Hypothesis testing was conducted utilizing SmartPLS version 3.0 for statistical analysis. The findings reveal that transformational leadership exerts a significant influence on employee work engagement at Rajawali Citra General Hospital, both directly and indirectly, with psychological ownership partially mediating this relationship.

Abstract

The shortage of 20GP containers is one of the challenges that has a direct impact on the smooth export process and customer satisfaction in the maritime logistics sector. This research aims to analyze the causes of the 20GP container shortage at PT XYZ, and propose a solution based on the grassroots forecasting method. This method is used to identify container needs more accurately by involving direct input from operational, marketing, and field staff who are in direct contact with market demand. Data was obtained through observation, interviews with key informants, and operational documentation during the observation period. The results of the analysis show that container shortages occur due to export-import imbalances, lack of cross-departmental communication, suboptimal container distribution management, and the absence of a field data-based demand forecasting system. The application of grassroots forecasting is proven to be able to provide container demand predictions that are more responsive and contextual to local market conditions, especially in the Semarang region which has high export potential but minimal import return flows. Based on these findings, this research recommends the integration of the grassroots forecasting method into the container planning system and the development of a real-time digital system to monitor and manage container availability. This implementation is expected to improve the efficiency of 20GP container distribution and strengthen customer service at PT XYZ.

Abstract

This paper investigates the impact of effective leadership on sustainable performance of higher education in Indonesian based on IKU (Main Indicator) mediated green human resource management. Productivity of Indonesian higher education graduates in ASEAN countries still needs to be improved such as the learning environment, research outcomes, students and research, and knowledge transfer. College leader cannot directly boost organisational performance but through the change of employees’ attitude and behaviour. The collected data from 150 respondents of five universities in Indonesia.  Data then analysed with Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM). Based on data analysis, first hypothesis supported that effective leadership does not have direct effect on sustainable performance. However, the second hypothesis accepted that Effective leadership has significant direct impact on green human resource management. The third hypothesis also accepted that Green human resource management has a significant direct impact on sustainable performance. And the fourth hypothesis also has a significant indirect impact on sustainable performance through green human resource management. Accordingly, Effective Leadership should execute policies to improve higher education performance effectively through changes in attitudes and behaviour of human resources. This manuscript contributes to the science circular of leadership and impetus for improving sustainable higher education performance in Indonesia.
