This research aimed at analyzing the grammatical and lexical cohesion in Ed Sheerans’ song lyrics in the ‘Plus’ Album. The kind of this research is qualitative research with descriptive approach. Reseacher used the Halliday and Hasan’s grammatical and lexical cohesion theory to analyze the grammatical and lexical cohesion in this song. The result of this research showed that there were four grammatical cohesion categories found they are reference, substitution, ellipsis, and conjunction, and two lexical cohesion categories found they are reiteration and collocation. The data of this research were words, phrases, and sentences. Grammatical and lexical cohesion creates relationships among the elements in the lyrics. Therefore, the existence of both grammatical and lexical cohesion enhances cohesiveness in the lyrics. Based on summary of the result, that grammatical cohesion is more dominated in the lyrics of the song more than lexical cohesion. In grammatical cohesion, reference consisted of 556 times found in the lyrics of the song, and conjunction consisted of 79 times found in the lyrics of the song. While in lexical cohesion, reiteration consisted of 98 times found in the lyrics and collocation consisted of 7 times found in the lyrics of the song. It is suggested that English learners should pay attention about the usage of grammatical and lexical cohesion in order to be able to produce a good discourse. For the teachers, hopefully this research could be used to enrich their teaching material.

COVID-19 pandemic makes the learning activities must be shifted into online learning. This research aim is to describe the implementation of online english learning during pandemic at the English Education Program students of Institut Pendidikan Tapanuli Selatan in 2020/2021 Academic Year. The type of this research is qualitative research. Questionnaire is the technique of collecting data with the subject of this research is 10 English Education Program students at the fourth semester. Then the data is analyzed in three steps; data condensation, data display and conclusion. The findings show that the implementation of online english learning which divided in three aspects, they are lesson planning is 69.8%, it is categorized good, the learning process is 58.2%, it is categorized enough and the learning material is 60.4%, it is categorized good. It means that the implementation of online english learning at english language education program in Institut Pendidikan Tapanuli Selatan is good for planning and material, enough for the process. Therefore it needs improvement in english online learning process to make students understand and enjoy the class.

This study aims to find out: 1) how the description of the use of the non-example model in class X SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan, 2) how the description of student learning outcomes on the subject matter of money before and after using the non-example model in class X SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan, c ) is there a significant effect between the use of the example non example model on student learning outcomes on the subject matter of money in class X SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. The time of the study was carried out for 4 months starting from February to May 2021. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research method. The population in this study were 30 students. The technique used is the total sample. Data collection techniques obtained by questionnaires and tests. Technical data analysis uses descriptive data and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the calculations obtained from the results of data processing using SPPS Software Version 22, the results of the model variable example non example (variable X) obtained a t-test index of 2.229 while t-table was 1.697 with a significant value = 0.034. Then it can be seen that it is significantly smaller than a (0.034 < 0.05). So it can be concluded that the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that there is a significant influence between the non-example model of learning outcomes for the subject of money in class X SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan,

Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui cara yang tepat pada pematahan dormansi aren, dimana dormansi merupakan penghambat dalam membudidayakan tanaman Aren. Percobaan ini dimulaidari bulan Mei sampai Juni 2012 di laboratorium fakultas pertanian UGN. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 Blok sebagai ulangan. Rancangan ini terdiri dari 2 faktor, yaitu : Faktor 1 ( Penggosokan pada permukaan biji bagian titik embrio ) : G1 ( penggosokan 1 X ), G2 ( penggosokan 2 x ), G3 ( penggosokan 3 X ) dan faktor 2 ( Perendaman biji pada suhu ) : S1 ( suhu 600 C ), S2 ( suhu 700 C ), S3 ( suhu 800 C ). Dilakukan Uji Duncan untuk mengetahui pengaruh masing – masing perlakuan pada taraf 1 %.Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan penerapan teknik pematahan dormansi dengan perlakuan skarifikasi sebanyak 3 x adalah teknik yang paling baik yang dapat berkecambah selama 38,10 hari, juga pada perlakuan perendaman dengan suhu 800 C adalah perlakuan yang paling baik diantara suhu yang lainnya dengan kecepatan berkecambah selama 38,80 hari. Pada perlakuan kombinasi, skarifikasi sebanyak 3 x dengan perendaman 800 C (G3S3) adalah teknik paling baik terhadap umur kecambah, daya kecambah dan panjang axis embrio.

This study aims to find out: 1) what is the picture of character education for class X SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan, 2) what is the picture of student motivation for class X SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan, 3) what is the picture of student learning outcomes for class X SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan, 4) whether there is a significant influence between character education and learning motivation on the learning outcomes of 5th grade Padangsidimpuan students. The time of the study was carried out for 3 months starting from February to April 2021. The research method used was a descriptive method. The population used in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. The sampling technique used is a random sample of 30 students. Data collection techniques obtained by questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the calculations obtained from the results of data processing using SPSS Software Version 25 the results of the character education variable (Variable X1) obtained a t-test index of 2.273 while t-table was 1.697 with a significant value = 0.031. And the results of data processing from the learning motivation variable (Variable X2) obtained a t-test index of 2.235 while t-table was 1.697 with a significant value = 0.034. So it can be seen that the significant value is smaller than (0.031 < 0.05) and (0.034 < 0.05). So it can be concluded that the hypothesis Ha is accepted. This means that there is a significant influence between character education and learning motivation on the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.

Dampak Program Pemulihan Ekonomi terhadap pengeluaran rumah tangga menunjukkan bahwa program tersebut hanya berdampak pada pengeluaran non-konsumsi di desa Citali. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian kualitiatif, studi kasus di desa Citali kecamatan Pamulihan Kabupaten Sumedang. Data dalam penelitian terdiri dari dua kategori, yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, studi data keuangan desa. Dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa Program Pemulihan Ekonomi Masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah desa Citali yang diambil dari Alokasi Dana Desa masih belum memberikan hasil yang maksimal. Hasil pertanian belum mencapai tingkat yang baik, salah satunya karena teknologi pertanian belum di anggarkan oleh pemerintah desa. Di desa Citali, akibat berkurangnya angkatan kerja, PHK masal dan populasi yang menua, berarti pemulihan jangka panjang mereka yang berkelanjutan harus menjadi fokus pemerintah.

The aim of this research was to know learning strategies applied by seventh semester students of English Language Education Study Program of STKIP Nias Selatan. This research was conducted by using Qualitative research, Case Study Research, to analyze the learning strategies among students of English Language Education study program of STKIP Nias Selatan. The participants of this research were Seventh semester students of English Language Education Study Program which consisted of 46 students. The questionnaire version 7.0 of Strategy Inventory of Language Learning (SILL) and interview were used to collect data of the research. The data were calculated and analyzed manually and classified it into level of learning strategies. The result of this research showed that seventh semester students of English Language Education Study Program of STKIP Nias Selatan applied all of learning strategies, including memory strategies, cognitive strategies, compensation strategies, metacognitive strategies, affective strategies, and social strategies. Most frequent strategies used by students were metacognitive strategies and memory strategies were in the medium level. After conducting this research, the researcher made conclusion that learning strategies that seventh semester students of English Language Education Study Program of STKIP Nias applied have an impact for their achievement. These results are expected to enhance the students’ knowledge to find out what the learning strategies appropriately for themselves and also enhance the teacher or lecturer knowledge about learning strategies that can help them to teach the students especiallyEnglish students.

Salah satu pesta adat dalam peresmian perkawinan pada masyarakat Padang Lawas adalah margondang. Bagi masyarakat Padang Lawas seperti halnya pada masyarakat desa Gunung Malintang Kecamatan Barumun Tengah margondang menjadi satu pesta adat yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat padaacara-acara peresmian perkawinan. Pesta adat margondang inisudah menjadi tradisi bagi masyarakat, sehingga pesta adat tersebut sangat sering dilaksanakanoleh masyarakat khususnya pada acaraperesmian perkawinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan pesta adat margondang sebagai pesta adat dalam peresmian perkawinanbagimasyarakat Padang LawassepertihalnyapadamasyarakatdesaGunungMalintang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh diantaranyasebelum pelaksanaan pesta adat margondang terlebih dahulu dilaksanakan martahi mulai dari martahi geleng-geleng atau ungut-ungut, martahi sabagas atau martahi ulutot dan terahir dilakukan martahi parhutaon atau martahi godang. Selanjutnya sebelum pelaksanaan acara margondang dimulai,terlebih dahulu dilaksanakan makkobar atau musyawaraholeh para harajaon ang dihadiri oleh raja panusunan bulung (raja luat), setelah acara makkobar tersebut selesai baru masuk ke acara margondang yang diiringi dengan tortor. Setelah acara manortor selesai kedua pengantin naik nacar atau di sebut ditapian raya bangunan dan terahir acara mangupa.

enelitian ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan masalah penelitian apakah terdapat peningkatan yang relevan antara penggunaan model pembelajaran Talking Stick terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 101501 Bintuju Kecamatan Angkola Muaratais Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan T.A 2021/2022.Rancangan penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdapat dua siklus.Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 101501 Bintuju Kecamatan Angkola Muaratais Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan yang berjumlah 25 siswa.Berdasarkan hasil analisis nilai rata-rata pembelajaran tematik pada subtema suhu dan kalor sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Talking Stick rata-rata 68 berada pada kategori “Kurang”. Sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Talking Stick nilai rata-rata pada siklus I 77 berada pada kategori “cukup”, dan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata 80 berada pada kategori “Baik”. Dari perbandingan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 101501 Bintuju Kecamatan Angkola Muaratais Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan pada siklus I sebesar 58% dan pada siklus II sebesar 75%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Talking Stick dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada subtema suhu dan kalor.

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) perencanaan pembelajaran problem solving, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran problem solving, 3) kemampuan siswa dengan pembelajaran Problem Solving. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus untuk membentuk kemampuan siswa dalam memahami budaya demokrasi . Alat pengumpul data yaitu observasi, dokumentasi foto dan wawancara hal dilakukan sebagai dasar untuk menginterpretasi hasil penelitian di setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 1) Pendekatan problem solving dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, 2) Kemampuan siswa dalam memahami budaya demokrasi melalui pendekatan problem solving dalam proses belajar mengajar sangat baik3)Pendekatan problem solving dapat digunakan oloeh guru dalam melaksakana pengajaran dikelas.
