Abstract

This research aims to utilize reading corners, supporting factors and inhibiting the use of reading corners in the School Literacy Movement at Mukhlisiin Integrated Islamic Elementary School.  The approach used in this study was the cauldronative approach.  Research method to understand the phenomenon of experienced by the research subject.  This type of research used methods of interviewing, observation and document review. This research subject that consisted of 6 respondents from Mukhlisiin Integrated Islamic Elementary School. The data was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman models while the data validity test was performed by triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that the use of reading corners in the School Literacy Movement at Mukhlisiin Gowa Integrated Islamic Elementary School, among others: reading activities before learning, encouraged the students to tell about what they had read, providing books that made the students’ interest.  Meanwhile, the supportive  factors on the use of reading corners in Mukhlisiin Gowa Integrated Islamic Elementary School, among others:  the awareness of school residents on the importance of literacy culture, adequate physical fasilitas such as reading corners, the allocation of time to visit in the reading corner, reading by being dibimbing by teachers, parents partivcipation of learners. Some factors that can hinder the use of reading corners in the School Literacy Movement at Mukhlisiin Gowa Integrated Islamic Elementary School, among others: there was a special time for book reading activities in the classroom, furthermore the teachers could not accompany their students when the reading corner utilization activities, they did not hold book updates and the school had not supported the activities of utilizing reading corners well.

Abstract

A person's learning achievement can be affected by certain factors, one of them is the learning environment, where the learning environment itself includes 3 aspects, consisting of the campus environment, community environment, and family environment. This research aims to investigate the influence of the learning environment on student achievement in the economic education study program. In this research, quantitative explanatory methods were used to examine the relationship between the campus environment, community environment, familiy environment, and student achievement. Students of the 2018 economic education study program, totaling 63 people, became the population in this research. Data were collected through a questionnaire method with multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 26 application as a data analysis technique. The findings show that: (1) the family environment partially has a positive influence on student achievement; (2) the campus environment partially has a positive influence on student learning achievement; (3) the community environment partially does not affect student learning achievement; (4) the family environment, campus environment, community environment simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on student achievement.

Abstract

The occurrence of different language features and language styles used by its speakers during a conversation is believed to be affected by some factors, such as gender (Coates, 2015; Lakoff, 1973; Tannen, 1990), situation, and the topic discussed in the conversation (Fishman, 2003). The scripts from a TV Series entitled The End of the F***ing World were analyzed to find out whether the characters way in choosing the language to be used is based on those factors. The result showed that the way the characters used the language is different according to the situation they been through. Furthermore, the result suggested that gender does not always influence the language used by its speakers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe student independence in online learning of English subjects. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative research. The subject and object of research focusing on 2nd-semester students of the Accounting Department and 3rd-semester students of the Management Department at STIE Kesumanegara Blitar. Data collection in this study was carried out through interviews, online questionnaires, and a literature study. The study results show that: (1) 50 out of 67 respondents often or sometimes ask for help from others when online learning; (2) According to their initiative shows results that are classified as low student awareness; (3) 47 students asking for help from lecturers and friends when they have difficulty learning; and (4) the level of student discipline in online learning is classified as good. It can be concluded that the student independence level in online English learning is still low and is included in the dependent category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of learning outcomes through the Contextual Teaching and Learning model in learning Arabic. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research, conducted by conducting classroom action with two cycles of action. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model can improve oral and written language skills. Student learning outcomes in the initial conditions of Arabic learning outcomes are lower, with an average value of 66,2. After taking action by applying the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model, the results of learning Arabic have improved, namely in the first cycle with an average value of 73, and after being given treatment in the second cycle, the Arabic learning outcomes are very good with an average value of 83, above the average score. Thus, the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model can improve oral and written language skills in each cycle.

Abstract

Early childhood education is preschool education that provides children with multiple stimulations to ensure optimal growth, development, and school readiness. One component of growth that must be encouraged is social-emotional development. In this study, classroom action research was used to address the issues discovered in the child's social-emotional development. Outbound is an activity that may actively include children in activities so that they can interact with their peers, establish collaboration, accomplish their obligations and responsibilities, and carry out these activities gladly and pleasantly. Children who can develop positive relationships and collaboration will grow into adults with high emotional intelligence. The study's findings revealed that children's social and emotional development increased during the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. Based on various assessment markers in the study, this demonstrates that outbound transfer of water can boost children's social and emotional development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the guided writing method assisted by flash card media on the learning motivation to write descriptive essays for fourth-grade elementary school students. This research is a quasi-experimental design. The research design used was The Matching-Only Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The sample in this study was fourth-grade students at SDN No.87 Tamanroya, which consisted of 48 students. The data collection used is a test and questionnaire technique. Data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. Based on the research results, it was found that the results of learning to write descriptive essays and students' learning motivation in the experimental class experienced a more significant increase than the control class. Based on the hypothesis test, it obtained a significant value of less than 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the guided writing method assisted by flash card media on the motivation to learn to write descriptive essays for fourth-grade students of SD SDN No.87 Tamanroya Kec. Galesong Utara, Kab.Takalar.

To support student welfare, it is necessary to have activities that make students happy while at school. The student fund planning is designed by the school principal and deputy of the school. This type of research uses qualitative by taking real data from the school. The data were obtained from interviews and observations at the school.

Abstract

This research wants to show and describe the application of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in MAN 2 Kediri City, where MAN 2 Kediri City became the pioneer in implementing the independent curriculum which was under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study were curriculum representatives, facilitating teams, and students of MAN 2 Kota Kediri. The results showed a lack of understanding regarding the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students from both the facilitating team and the students. MAN 2 Kota Kediri to encourage the successful implementation of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students by creating a Pancasila student profile expo program, the aim of which is to showcase and demonstrate the results of the project to strengthen students' Pancasila student profiles. The theme applied by MAN 2 Kediri City is local wisdom and wake up the soul, wake up the body, its implementation results in students experiencing the inculcation of the character of the two themes through a series of project processes to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students.
