Abstract

This study aims to improve students' creative thinking skills through the PjBL (Project Based Learning) learning model on the digestive system material at Smart Pure High School. The research method is quantitative using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Smart Murni which consisted of 2 classes with a total of 61 students, where the control class, namely XI MIPA 1, consisted of 30 students and class XI MIPA 2 as the experimental class which consisted of 31 students. As for the data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis in the study using the t-test independent data this study used an instrument in the form of an essay test for creative thinking skills. The results showed that the average value obtained for the control class was 70.10 and for the experimental class it was 81.04. Then a t test was carried out to prove that the difference was significant (real) or not, where the Sig.(2-tailed) value was 0.000 <0.05. In conclusion, in descriptive statistics there is a difference in the average creative thinking ability of students between the experimental class and the control class. Based on the results of the T test, there is a significant difference in PjBL (Project Based Learning) learning towards improving students' creative thinking skills. Abstract

This research aims to determine which bacteria are capable of fixing nitrogen and dissolving phosphate in liquid rubber waste in Perdamean Village, Labuhanbatu Regency. The research method used was the description method with bacterial isolation techniques, then testing was carried out, namely the nitrogen fixation ability test and the phosphate solvent ability test. The results of the research showed that bacterial isolates capable of fixing nitrogen were found to have high absorbance values, namely 1,340 ABS. In the phosphate solubilizing ability test, there were 2 isolates that were unable to dissolve phosphate. In conclusion, isolating nitrogen and phosphate fixing bacteria in liquid rubber waste is a way to prevent pollution and destruction of the ecosystem in the environment. Abstract

This study aims to determine the diversity of shrubs along the banks of the Rindu Hati River in Central Bengkulu, the output of which will be a Learning Unit Book (BUP). The research method is research and development limited to needs analysis and design framework. In this study, the location determination used the porposive sampling technique based on the presence of shrubs which were considered to represent places in the longing liver river. The results showed that the number of shrub species on the banks of the Miss Hati River found was 230 of 21 species of shrubs. The diversity index value (H') ranges from 2.311-2.511 which is included in the medium category, the evenness index (E) ranges from 0.759-0.83 which is included in the high category, and the dominance index (C) ranges from 0.09-0.1065 which is included in the high category. low. In conclusion, from this data it is necessary to develop a teaching material that can facilitate students in learning which contains a diversity of shrubs which is facilitated by teachers and students in facilitating learning to classify living things. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the diversity of medicinal plants that are still used by the Rejang tribe of Bengkulu as medicine. This research method is descriptive and quantitative. The object of this research is the types of traditional medicinal plants used by the Rejang tribe and the research subjects are battra or shamans who use Rejang tribe medicinal plants with 2 samples in each district. The data collection technique was carried out in three stages, namely the observation, interview and documentation stages. The results of the research show that there are 38 types or species of medicinal plants used by the Rejang tribal battra and 32 families. Leaves are the most commonly used part with a percentage of 58%. The main processing is by boiling, namely 62%, and most medicinal plants are consumed directly with a percentage of 67%. In conclusion, the Rejang tribe has extensive knowledge about the use of medicinal plants in traditional medicine. They know various types of medicinal plants from many different families. The use of this medicinal plant is mainly to treat ulcers, fever, coughs and cancer, and is an integral part of the culture and knowledge of the Rejang tribe. Abstract

The research aims to determine parental involvement with the learning achievement of class X Science students at MAS Alliful Ikhwan Setia Abang Adik, South Labuhanbatu Regency. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive quantitative research type. The total sample was 48 students obtained using total sampling technique. The results of the research show that parental involvement is closely related to student learning achievement in class as evidenced by the questionnaire percentage value of 68.75% and the sample average learning outcome percentage value of 64.58%. The results of hypothesis testing show that the significance value is smaller than the probability value, namely p < 0.05, namely 0.000 < 0.05 and the correlation value of 0.604 or 36.48% has an influence on student learning outcomes and achievement. Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' needs for augmented reality flipbooks based on local Bengkulu wisdom. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the Plomp model, but this research is limited to the preliminary research stage. Data collection was carried out by giving questionnaires to lecturers and all active students in the biology education study program. The student needs analysis questionnaire includes four indicators, then the data obtained is analyzed through qualitative descriptions. The research results show, a) 94% of the lecture system uses a face-to-face (offline) system and 6% uses a hybrid learning system; b) learning resources used by students and lecturers in the lecture system, namely 40% and 47% using the internet, 39% and 35% printed books; c) the use of teaching media in the lecture process showed that 82% answered yes and 18% no; d) students' knowledge about local wisdom in Bengkulu, 35% answered the Rafflesia flower, 25% Kaba Hill and Waterfall; e) as many as 82-86% of students and lecturers do not know about augmented reality flipbooks based on local wisdom, 14-18% know about augmented reality flipbooks; f) 100% of lecturers and students responded that it was necessary to develop augmented reality flipbooks based on local wisdom in the hope that the lecture process would become more innovative. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop an augmented reality flipbook based on Bengkulu local wisdom as a learning resource for the lecture process, especially in the Biology education study program. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the sigil-based investigative group (GI) type cooperative learning model on the learning motivation of class X Science students at SMA Negeri 6 Seluma Regency. This research method uses a quasi-experimental design with a research design in the form of a Non-Randomized Control-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data analysis technique for this research uses the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, which is then tested for homogeneity using Levene Statistics. After it is known that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous, a data analysis test is carried out using the T test. The research results show that the p-value obtained is of 0.000. In conclusion, there is an influence of the sigil-based investigative group (GI) type cooperative learning model on the learning motivation of class X Science students at SMA Negeri 6 Seluma Regency. Abstract

The aimed of this research is to analyze the influence of the double loop problem solving (DLPS) model on students' spatial reasoning abilities in digestive system subjects. The research used a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. SMAN 1 Ciemas students' ability to think spatially is the variable that is measured. Research was led in two classes on the subject of the digestive system in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Before being handed over to students, all questions are validated by experts and then used with the help of research applications to find research results. The research data was tested for normality and homogeneity and finally the research hypothesis was tested using the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the research show that the DLPS model can influence students' spatial thinking abilities in class XI digestive system material at SMAN 1 Ciemas. In conclusion, the DLPS learning model with students' spatial thinking abilities can be an effective solution to face the progress of 21st century education. Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of severity on mango (Mangifera indica) leaves. The methods used in this research are identifying disease symptoms using the Plantix application, measuring the severity of leaves using ImageJ software, and culturing bacterial cells on Nutrient Agar (NA). The sample uses 5 leaves and 3 different location points. The research results show that the data obtained from ImageJ software shows the level of severity with an average percentage, namely at location point A it is 1.98%, location point B is 1.18%, and location point C is 2.31%. Based on the results of bacterial cell culture, isolates were obtained with the characteristics, a) shape, namely round; b) the edge line, namely the whole; c) high, that is, convex; d) size, namely medium; e) color, namely colorless; f) texture, namely soft; g) appearance i.e. shiny. Based on the known disease symptoms on mango leaves, mango black bacterial spot disease was identified which was caused by the bacteria Xanthomonas citri pv. mangiferaeindicae. In conclusion, the data obtained from ImageJ software shows that the highest level of severity is at location point C and the lowest level of severity is at location point B. Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the structure of zooplankton communities in former gold mining ponds for fish cultivation in Nagari Muaro, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra. The research method used is a descriptive survey. Determining the location for sampling zooplankton was carried out using purposive sampling. The research results showed that the overall abundance of zooplankton was found to be 18.2 ind/l, consisting of 4 phyla and several genera or types. The phyla found were, a) the Protozoa phylum with 2 genera, namely Astramoeba and the Arcella genus with an abundance of 3.2 ind/l; b) the Rotifera phylum consists of 7 genera, namely the genus Branchinus, Lycane, Keratella, Notholca, Trichoyria, Polymerurus, and the genus Habrotrocha with an abundance of 5.4 ind/l; c) phylum Crustaceae, 3 genera, namely Nauplius, Cyclops, and Daphnia with an abundance of 9.5 ind/l; d) the phylum Arthropoda has 1 genus, namely Chironomus with an abundance of 0.1 ind/l. The highest abundance was found in the phylum Crustaceae. The zooplankton diversity index at the three stations has an average value of 2.08, the evenness index has an average value of 0.83, and the zooplankton dominance index has an average value of 0.16. The results of measuring physical factors are the average turbidity of 3.53 NTU, the average water temperature is 32oC, and the average pH of water is 6. The results of measuring the average water chemical factors are water DO of 5.15 ppm, BOD of 1.77 ppm , COD was 26.45 ppm, CO2 levels were 18.29 ppm, and measured mercury (Hg) levels ranged from 0 – 0.03 ppm. Conclusion, based on the abundance of zooplankton found, the pond waters are classified as mesotrophic with a moderate level of fertility diversity.
