Abstract

Students often struggle with organizing proposal sections, understanding research concepts, and managing time. These obstacles interfere with their academic development and emphasize the importance of a deep understanding of the underlying constraints. This research aims to investigate how individual, task, and environmental constraints interact and contribute to such challenges. This research utilizes a survey study with a quantitative framework. A quantitative survey was conducted on 91 seventh-semester students from the English Education study program. Data were collected through a standardized questionnaire that measured students' level of confidence, experience, and understanding in writing a research proposal. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to identify the dominant problems in each CLA dimension. The results showed that more than 60% of the students experienced difficulties in conducting a literature review, while 50% felt afraid of making mistakes, which highlighted significant cognitive and psychological barriers. In addition, 43.33% faced task-related difficulties, such as balancing proposal sections, and 42.22% reported time management issues. These interrelated obstacles indicate the need for holistic interventions, such as workshops on task management, literature review strategies, and peer support to improve students' research skills.

Abstract

The implementation of EE in Indonesia faces various obstacles, including limited resources, lack of institutional support, and low teacher readiness. This study aims to design a sustainable environmental education model by analyzing the needs of teachers in Indonesia through a Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) approach. This study used the Rapid Appraisal for Sustainability (Rapfish) method with Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 20 randomly selected primary school teachers from various regions in Indonesia. The results of the analysis show that teachers see the potential of EE to improve students' awareness and behavior towards environmental issues, but they face various challenges, such as limited time allocation in the curriculum to deliver EE materials, as well as lack of support from schools and parents. The existing curriculum is considered to still need development, especially through practical activities outside the classroom to increase student engagement. The findings emphasize the importance of government and organizational support through the provision of resources, professional training and curriculum development that includes practical project-based activities. The implications of this research are expected to guide the design of a more effective EE curriculum for primary schools, in line with global sustainable development goals. In conclusion, sustainable environmental education in Indonesia requires more targeted and appropriate curriculum design and teacher training. The implications of this research encourage policy makers to formulate policies that strengthen the integration of environmental education in the national education system.

Abstract

Inclusive education is organized so that all children, including children with disabilities, get quality education opportunities and services. However, the implementation of inclusive education raises several problems, one of which is teachers who do not understand inclusive education and disabilities, so they have difficulty accepting students with disabilities and managing classes well. This study aims to analyze the effect of inclusive education training on improving teachers' knowledge and attitudes in teaching students with disabilities. The methodology in this study used an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design, which obtained a sample of 19 teachers. The data collection method was a closed questionnaire with an adapted and modified teacher attitude instrument and a teacher knowledge instrument compiled by the researcher based on the Inclusive Education Implementation Guide and the Inclusive Education Implementation Pocket Book in Elementary Schools. The analysis method used Wilcoxon, showing differences in teachers' knowledge and attitudes towards students with disabilities before and after being given inclusive education training. This study implies that teachers can apply more inclusive learning steps and recognize the characteristics of children with special needs. Thus, it can be concluded that inclusive education training can improve teachers' knowledge and positive attitudes in teaching students with disabilities.

Abstract

Inclusive education plays an important role in providing equal learning opportunities for all children, regardless of their abilities. This research addresses the issue of low public trust in inclusive education, which has the potential to hinder policy implementation and practice. The aim of this research is to develop strategies to strengthen community trust and improve the quality of inclusive education. A mixed methods approach was used in this study. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers, parents, students and policymakers and a survey of 255 respondents. The instrument used was an observation sheet. After the data was collected, it was analyzed through two stages, namely qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative analysis was conducted with thematic and narrative coding, while quantitative analysis used descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis. The results show that community involvement, teacher training and removing stigma are the main factors in increasing community trust in inclusive education. However, community trust does not have a significant effect on inclusive education outcomes directly. The study concluded that community-based strategies supported by teacher training and anti-stigma campaigns need to be implemented to improve community acceptance of inclusive education.
