Abstract

The concept of career women in the perspective of the Qur'an has become increasingly relevant in response to social dynamics and the challenges of modernity, where women are playing a more active role in the public sphere. The study of interpretations by female mufassirun, such as Badriyah Fayumi, Nailah Hasyim Sabri, and Aisyah Abdurrahman (Bintu Syathi’), is essential to understand how the Qur'an can be interpreted in a contemporary context, particularly regarding women's rights and responsibilities. The presence of female mufassirun offers a distinctive perspective that is often overlooked in the male-dominated tafsir tradition. Badriyah Fayumi focuses on a contextual understanding of the Qur’anic verses related to women, while Nailah Hasyim Sabri proposes a more inclusive approach. Aisyah Abdurrahman emphasizes that women possess intellectual capacity and actively contribute to public life, as reflected in her struggle for access to education and academic positions. This research demonstrates that female mufassirun provide space for women to actively engage in careers. The Qur'an acknowledges women’s involvement in various productive activities, as long as they adhere to the principles of Shari'ah. The interpretations developed by female mufassirun emphasize gender equality, justice, and women’s rights to contribute to social and economic life. The feminist approach advocated by Badriyah Fayumi reconstructs the patriarchal classical tafsir by highlighting values of equality, justice, and consultation in gender relations.

Abstract

As time progresses, women play an increasingly important role in improving the quality of both public and domestic sectors. Generally, gender issues that become the main topic of discussion revolve around the status and position of women in society, which are still often viewed as subordinate or marginal. The significant rise in the number of female practitioners in the public relations (PR) industry has led to the perception that women have experienced gender discrimination in Indonesia. This journal aims to analyze and examine gender perspectives on women in the field of public relations, the impact of the feminization of the PR profession, as well as the challenges faced by women in carrying out their roles as public relations practitioners. The results of this literature study indicate that male practitioners are more likely to hold managerial positions than female practitioners. Although the number of female practitioners has exceeded that of males, their status and roles in PR practice remain subordinate to men. Furthermore, there are relevant glass ceiling barriers, including an unequal distribution of tasks, which prevent women from fully demonstrating their potential in the workplace.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of religious literacy activities in the formation of students' religious character at Miftahul Ulum Islamic Middle School. This religious literacy program aims to develop students' religious character through routine activities such as reading Surah Al-Waqi'ah, Asmaul Husna, dhuha prayer, and dzuhur prayer in congregation. These activities are designed to help students understand and apply religious principles in their daily lives, while improving religious understanding and better worship habits. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research method, involving interviews with the principal, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, and students, as well as analysis of related documents. The results of the study indicate that religious literacy activities play an important role in improving student discipline, strengthening their relationship with God, and developing their religious character. Supporting factors for the implementation of this program include student motivation, as well as collaboration between teachers, parents, and the community. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include bad habits of students, less attentive parenting patterns, and the influence of the external environment. This study contributes to the development of more effective educational strategies in forming religious character through religious literacy in schools.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of cultural communication of the Ramadhan Fair Bazaar in prospering the Medan Grand Mosque, using qualitative methods with descriptive studies, observation, documentation, and direct interviews. The results of the study indicate that this bazaar is significant in increasing the activeness of the congregation and strengthening social interaction, becoming an annual tradition that has been awaited by the people of Medan City for more than 18 years. The Ramadhan Bazaar also supports the local economy by providing opportunities for MSMEs and facilitating entrepreneurship. In addition, this bazaar plays a role in promoting and preserving local culture, including the tradition of sharing spicy porridge at the Al-Mashun Grand Mosque. Comprehensively, this bazaar activity supports the prosperity of the mosque both physically and non-physically, by increasing visits and community participation and providing a forum for religious and social activities.

Abstract

This study explores the application of the concept of siyasah qadhaiyyah in resolving disputes over Building Use Rights Certificates (SHGB) at the Medan State Administrative Court, highlighting how substantial justice interacts with formal legal principles in the context of land law in Indonesia. The background of this study is based on the complexity of land administration and the high frequency of disputes, which often show overlapping rights and ambiguous regulations. This study is urgent as a response to the need for integration between formal and substantial justice in judicial practice to create a more just and efficient legal system. The normative juridical method is used in this study, with a case approach to the PTUN Decision Number 131/G/PTUN.MDN. Primary data comes from the decision, while secondary data is obtained from relevant literature, helping to explore the principles of siyasah qadhaiyyah and mashlahah upheld by Imam al-Mawardi. The results of the study show that the court succeeded in integrating substantial justice with formal legal provisions, considering social and economic aspects in its decisions. The discussion underlines the importance of legal policies that do not only rely on formal legality but also on the social benefits and disad-vantages of legal decisions. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the success of the courts in implementing siyasah qadhaiyyah and mashlahah provides an example of the importance of adapting the law to social dynamics and community needs, recommending increasing the capacity of judges in non-legal aspects and utilizing technology to increase transparency in land admin-istration. This study contributes to the development of legal theory and practice that supports social harmony and the welfare of the wider community.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of media in supporting Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) in increasing consumer buying interest. The method used is a literature study with various academic sources and previous research reviewed related to consumer behavior, communication media, and IMC. The results of the study show that the media forms brand awareness, positive perceptions, and emotional relationships between customers and brands. The connection of messages across various media within the IMC framework has been shown to accelerate the customer's experience with the product, from the stage of knowing the product to making a purchase decision. Therefore, in contemporary marketing strategies, the strategic factors that increase purchase intention are good media selection, integration and management.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role and influence of caregivers in shaping Muslim intellectuals who follow Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah at the Attahdzib Islamic Boarding School. The main focus of this study is to understand the role of Father Kyai Ahmad Masruh as a caregiver of the Islamic boarding school in guiding students to develop an understanding of religion in accordance with the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah, and how he becomes a role model who provides examples in everyday life. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation conducted at the Attahdzib Islamic Boarding School. There are two focuses in this study, namely: (1) What is the role of caregivers in teaching the aqidah of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah at the Attahdzib Islamic Boarding School? and (2) What is the role and influence of caregivers in shaping Muslim intellectuals who follow Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah at the Attahdzib Islamic Boarding School? The results of the study indicate that Father Kyai Ahmad Masruh has a very important role in forming quality Muslim intellectuals, by teaching and exemplifying the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah both in words and deeds. In addition, the material taught through the yellow book in this Islamic boarding school is also in line with the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah, thus forming students who are not only intelligent in religious knowledge but also have noble morals. This study is expected to contribute to the development of Islamic boarding school education and enrich studies on the role of caregivers in forming the character of Muslim intellectuals based on the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah.

Abstract

This research is entitled "the effect of the use of social media Instagram on the self healing ability of Universitas Sumatera Utara students". The purpose of the study was to knowing the use of Instagram social media among USU students and knowing the effect of using Instagram social media on the self healing abilities of USU students. The theory used is Communication Psychology, Intrapersonal Communication, Self Healing Method, Self Commpassion, Emotional Control, New Media, Social Media, Instagram, Uses and Gratification. The research method is correlational quantitative. This research applies accidental sampling technique. The data collection technique used is through a questionnaire. The researcher conducted a series of data analysis techniques, single table analysis, cross table analysis, and Spearman's tiering coefficient hypothesis test. The results showed that there was a significant effect on the use Instagram social media on the self-healing ability of Universitas Sumatera Utara.. Hypothesis testing shows that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. Through the correlation determinant test, it was found that Instagram usage had on the self healing ability of students Universitas Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

This study seeks to methodically analyze the impact of blockchain technology and digital marketing tactics on the enhancement of banking services in the digital age.  Digital transformation necessitates that banks not only implement cutting-edge technologies to improve transaction efficiency and security but also establish robust contact with clients to foster loyalty and confidence.  This study utilizes a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology by examining 25 pertinent scientific articles from 2018 to 2024, sourced from prominent sources including Google Scholar, Scopus, and DOAJ.  The study's findings demonstrate that blockchain facilitates the acceleration of service processes, improves transparency, and fortifies data security, whereas digital marketing substantially enhances customer engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty via personalized and educational communication strategies.  The amalgamation of the two fosters a synergy that propels the advancement of efficient, trustworthy, and adaptive banking services tailored to the requirements of the digital generation.  This research offers both theoretical and practical insights into banking service developments and acts as a reference for industry stakeholders and policymakers in advancing the digitization of the financial sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of user experience and e-service quality on customer satisfaction in the context of mobile banking services at PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). The research focuses on how user interaction with the BSI Mobile application and the perceived quality of electronic services affect customer satisfaction directly and indirectly. To achieve these objectives, the study employs Structural Equation Modeling using Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The validity and reliability of the constructs were tested through convergent validity, discriminant validity (using cross loading and Heterotrait-Monotrait Ratio), and internal consistency measures such as Cronbach's alpha and Average Variance Extracted (AVE). The structural model was assessed using R-square, path coefficients, and t-statistics for hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that user experience has a significant direct influence on customer satisfaction (t = 2.697, p = 0.007), while e-service quality also has a significant and stronger effect on customer satisfaction (t = 7.353, p = 0.000). Furthermore, e-service quality mediates the relationship between user experience and customer satisfaction significantly (t = 7.402, p = 0.000), indicating that a better user experience enhances perceived service quality, which in turn leads to higher customer satisfaction. The study concludes that both user experience and e-service quality are critical determinants of customer satisfaction in digital banking services. Managerially, this suggests that continuous improvement in user interface design and e-service features can significantly enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen customer loyalty in the highly competitive Islamic banking industry.
