Abstract

Abstract. Environmental pollution that is often encountered in daily life that comes from laundry waste. Laundry waste includes pollutants or substances that pollute the environment because in it there is a substance called linear alkylbenzene sulphonate (LAS). LAS is a detergent that is classified as hard to brake down by microorganisms (non-biodegradable) so that it can cause environmental pollution. One method that is often used in laundry wastewater treatment is coagulation using chitosan and lime as a coagulant. The purpose of this study was to analyze the efficiency and effectiveness in reducing pollutant levels in laundry waste using chitosan-lime coagulant. This study used a completely randomized design with 200 mg/L chitosan and 0.1-0.5 g lime. The test parameters used were COD, MBAS, and phosphate. Data were analyzed using calculation of efficiency and effectiveness of reduction, linear regression, and one-way ANOVA test. The results showed that under the best conditions, chitosan 200 mg/L and lime as much as 3.5 g resulted in a reduction efficiency of 68.52%, 9.15%, and 92.44%. Chitosan-lime is effective in reducing MBAS and phosphate levels to quality standard, but chitosan-lime coagulant is less effective in reducing COD levels because it still exceeds the the established quality standards

Abstract

Pabrik industri olahan rotan PT XYZ merupakan salah satu pabrik industri rotan yang berdiri sejak tahun 2000, dengan fokus pada salah satu rangkaian produksi produk rotan yaitu finishing. Tata letak pabrik saat ini belum terorganisir dengan sistematik dan belum ada perancangan khusus didalamnya. Hal ini tergambar pada terdapatnya cross movement, laju backtracking, tingginya ongkos material handling,dan juga terlalu jauh jarak antar departemen yang berkaitan langsung secara aliran proses produksi. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk melakukan perancangan ulang terhadap tata letak pabrik untuk mendapatkan ongkos material handling dan jarak perpindahan material yang lebih minimum, pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Layout Planning (SLP). Akan diusulkan tata letak yang dapat memangkas ongkos material handling lebih minim dan jarak perpindahan barang lebih dekat dengan tidak adanya masalah dalam aliran proses. Hasil penelitian ini didapat layout usulan baru yang memiliki ongkos material handling Rp1.183.614 per minggu dengan pengurangan nilai sebesar Rp476.906 atau 28,72% dan tidak terdapat masalah.

Abstract

AbstractThe epidermis of cocoa beans is one of the agricultural wastes that has not been utilized optimally. Composting from cocoa bean husks is a way of processing plantation waste that has economic value. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of EM4 and PROMI bioactivators and fermentation time on pH and nitrogen content of cocoa husk compost. The research method used is descriptive method with 2 treatments and 3 repetitions. The treatment used was a type of bioactivator namely EM4 and promi and the duration of fermentation was 5, 10 and 15 days. The results showed that the best pH was obtained by adding EM4 bioactivator with 5 days of fermentation, namely 6.75. While the highest nitrogen content was obtained by adding EM4 with a fermentation time of 15 days, namely 1.84% for the two bioactivators.Keywords: bark, cocoa beans, compost, em4, promi

Abstract

Bagas adalah ampas tebu dari proses penggilingan atau pengepresan tebu, terdiri dari serpihan lunak dalam jumlah besar dengan kadar air 46-52%, kadar serat 43-52%, dan padatan terlarut sekitar 2-6%. Sejauh ini baru 30-50% ampas tebu yang telah digunakan di Indonesia. Kandungan lignoselulosa yang tinggi pada ampas tebu memungkinkan untuk digunakan sebagai bio-oil. Produksi bio-oil dapat diperoleh dengan cara pirolisis, proses ini diklasifikasikan menjadi 3 jenis yaitu slow pyrolysis, fast pyrolysis dan flash pyrolysis. Pirolisis katalitik telah terbukti meningkatkan bio-oil dengan menghilangkan spesies oksigen, meningkatkan nilai kalor, menurunkan viskositas dan meningkatkan stabilitas. Katalis berbasis zeolit (ZSM-5) paling sering digunakan untuk perengkahan dan dehidrasi polimer. Artikel ini membahas produksi bio-oil dengan pirolisis katalitik menggunakan katalis zeolit dari ampas tebu sebagai bahan alternatif di Indonesia.

Abstract

The pace of development, population, activities, and socioeconomic level of the community trigger an increase in the amount of waste generation that will be transported to landfills. The more human growth increases, the more waste generation will increase. Therefore, it is necessary to plan a Temporary Shelter (TPS) and waste transportation system in Pabuaran District, Serang Regency with the aim of reducing the negative impact of garbage accumulation and changing the behavior of people in Pabuaran District who still throw garbage in any place and to reduce the impact caused by the waste itself. The purpose of this study is to determine the rate and composition of waste and design a TPS that meets the criteria. Data that has been obtained from primary data sources and secondary data will be processed and analyzed. Data analysis is used as a determination and planning of waste TPS that will be applied in Pabuaran District. The results showed that the rate of waste generation every yearalways increases along with the increase in the number of residents. In 2021 the amount of waste generation in Pabuaran District was 26 m3 / day. Then in 2022 the amount of waste generation reached 27.24 m3 / day or 326.86 m3 / year and in 2031 it increased to 41.89 m3 / day or 502.73 m3 / year. year. So, the total land needs are based on the assessment of the units of space needed for the TPS building land in Pabuaran District covering an area of 99 m2.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a local company that produces Joint Brake Rod KTMY parts whose demand varies every month. The production planning used by the company is often not by the demand so there is an excess of product stock that can trigger losses for the company. This study aims to determine the optimal step in planning the production of Joint Brake Rod KTMY parts in 2022 by comparing the value of the error accuracy rate of the two forecasting methods is exponential smoothing with 0,2; 0,5; 0,9 α value and the linear regression method. Furthermore, the calculation of the error accuracy value with Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD), Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) to determine the best forecasting. This resulting study indicates that linear regression is the method with the smallest accuracy, with 341.278 MAD; 185,084 MSE; and 0.11 MAPE. So, in planning production for Joint Brake Rod KTMY parts during the future period, PT. XYZ can use linear regression.

Abstract

This examination means to figure out how the difference in broad daylight free place of green in 2016 to 2020, the accessibility of free place of green in view of the area in Gunungsitoli Subdistrict, and the accessibility of free place of green in light of the quantity of occupants in Gunungsitoli Subdistrict. This study is a quantitative elucidating approach. The item in this study is the whole area of Public Free place of green in Gunungsitoli Subdistrict. The audit used Geographic Information System (GIS) applications, Ground Check, as well as insight. This investigation data source uses fundamental data acquired from the eventual outcomes of picture dealing with in 2016 and 2020, while discretionary data is people data and social condition data, so during the time spent taking care of information required books, journals, and proposition material to this assessment. The results showed that the Public Free place of green in Gunungsitoli Subdistrict experienced a change from the area of Existing Public Free place of green from 2016 by 6.6 ha to 2020 by 7.67 ha, then, the wide change more than 5 years amounted to 1.07 ha. Considering the Area of Public Free place of green in Gunungsitoli Subdistrict of 6.78 ha which is changed as per the Necessities of Public Free place of green 20% and is differentiated and existing conditions in 2020, the area of Public Free place of green in Gunungsitoli Subdistrict really has an absence of 0.89 ha.

Abstract

Abstract In getting optimal production results, companies must be able to carry out quality control in an effort to avoid the occurrence of products that are not suitable. That way the company will be able to minimize losses caused by products that are not suitable. This study has the aim of analyzing the level of defects that occur in the production of PLG parts at PT. X. In addition, the results to be achieved in this study are to propose improvements in efforts to suppress and control defective products. This research is a quantitative descriptive with the method used is lean six sigma DMAIC. Then to optimize the expected results, the Kaizen Five M-Checklist analysis is also used as a follow-up analysis to get suggestions for improvements that can be made to suppress defective products. The data used in this study include production reports, defective product reports, working conditions and others. These data were collected through direct observation to the company as well as interviews with related parties and documentation. The results obtained in this study can be seen that there are three types of defects that occur in PLG parts, namely over deep, double screw, and broken drill. Of the 350 parts produced during 2021, there are 22 defective parts with each type of defect of 68% over deep, 17% double threaded, and 5% broken drill. Factors that cause these defects include humans, machines, methods and materials. The suggestions given in this study to control defective products are the adjustment of SOPs from the work system, working methods, and administration. In addition, there is an additional tool to store special inserts so that there are no more insert errors.Keywords: DMAIC, Kaizen, Quality, Defect Product, Six Sigma. AbstrakDalam mendapatkan hasil produksi yang optimal, perusahaan harus mampu melakukan pengendalian kualitas dalam upaya menghindari terjadinya produk yang tidak sesuai. Dengan begitu perusahaan akan mampu meminimalkan kerugian yang disebabkan produk yang tidak sesuai tersebut. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan menganalisis tingkat cacat yang terjadi pada produksi part PLG di PT. X. Selain itu hasil yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah mengusulkan perbaikan dalam upaya menekan dan mengendalikan produk cacat. Penelitian ini merupakan berbentuk deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode yang digunakan adalah lean six sigma DMAIC. Kemudian untuk mengoptimalkan hasil yang diharapkan, digunakan juga analisis Kaizen Five M-Checklist sebagai analisis lanjutan  untuk mendapatkan usulan perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan untuk menekan produk cacat. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini seperti laporan produksi, laporan produk cacat, kondisi kerja dan lainnya. Data-data tersebut dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung ke perusahaan dan juga wawancara pada pihak terkait serta dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini dapat diketahui terdapat tiga jenis cacat yang terjadi pada part PLG yaitu over deep, ulir ganda, dan bor patah. Dari 350 part yang diproduksi selama tahun 2021 terdapat 22 part yang cacat dengan masing-masing jenis cacat sebesar 68% over deep, 17% ulir ganda, dan 5% bor patah. Faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya cacat tersebut antara lain, manusia, mesin, metode dan material. Adapun usulan yang diberikan pada penelitian ini untuk mengendalikan produk cacat yaitu adanya penyesuaian SOP dari sistem kerja, cara kerja, dan administrasi. Selain itu adanya alat tambahan untuk menyimpan insert khusus agar tidak lagi terjadi kesalahan pemakaian insert.Kata Kunci: DMAIC, Kaizen, Kualitas, Produk Cacat, Six Sigma

Abstract

Dalam kegiatan produksi tidak terlepas dari operator, dalam interaksi antara manusia dan mesin tersebut membutuhkan postur tubuh yang baik agar produk yang dikeluarkan lebih optimal. Sering kali para pekerja mengalami nyeri otot saat melakukan pekerjaan terutama pada bagian leher dan punggung, hal tersebut dikarenakan oleh postur kerja yang tidak ergonomi sehingga berakibat pada tingginya terjadi risiko cedera musculoskeletal disorder. Agar hal tersebut terantisipasi maka bisa dengan melakukan analisis pada postur tubuh sehingga pekerja merasa nyaman dengan pekerjaannya dan produk yang dikeluarkan menjadi optimal. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan perhitungan pengolahan data postur tubuh yaitu dengan metode Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) dan metode Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). Hasil yang didapatkan setelah menghitung data yang didapatkan yaitu pada metode QEC postur tubuh pekerja mendapatkan nilai sebesar 96,29% yang memiliki arti bahwa postur tubuh tersebut perlu tindakan perubahan secepatnya, sedangkan hasil dari metode RULA mendapatkan skor 7 sehingga postur tubuh membutuhkan perubahan postur dalam bekerja sekarang juga. Perbaikan yang perlu dilakukan pada pekerja tersebut yaitu dengan memperhatikan postur tubuh saat bekerja yang mana tubuh diusahakan tegak dan posisi tubuh jangan condong ke depan dan juga pada tempat kerja perlu penyesuaian dengan tubuh pekerja agar pekerja bisa melakukan pekerjaannya dalam keadaan berdiri.Kata Kunci: postur kerja, QEC, RULA, Musculoskeletal Disorder, ergonomi.

Abstract

In the process of moving cement products from the packaging department to several trucks, human power is required. Workers who transfer finished cement products from belt conveyors to trucks take a long time to lift heavy workpieces which can cause disturbances in the limbs as a result of repetitive work. Therefore, an analysis is needed that aims to determine the level of safety of work postures as a basis for improving the work posture of workers. In analyzing body posture, the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) methods are used. The results of the study found that the analysis of worker posture using the RULA method was 7, this indicates that the job requires investigation and changes to SOP. Based on the REBA score of 6, it indicates that the work has a moderate risk level, with an action level of 2 and further action for evaluation of the work system needs to be carried out. Changes to the work system are made in order to minimize the risk of musculoskeletal complaints in workers so that it will affect the level of worker productivity.
