Abstract

Professional development is mandatory for educators who have completed their educational qualifications. This aims to ensure that educators can continue to improve their knowledge and skills by changing times, which, of course, have an influence on the world of education. The research aims to analyze professional development at the educator level for kindergarten-age children. Quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design type. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires in form. The research subjects consisted of 43 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using statistics. The research results show that of the various types of professional development programs, many teachers participate in training, workshops, educational conferences, and seminars. These two types of programs fulfill a lot of knowledge and skills. Even though teachers have obstacles in developing professionalism, such as time, funds, and suitability of training materials to their needs, they still try to do it with their desires. Support from education unit leaders and the impact on their competencies felt after participating in the development program are other factors in implementing the development of educational professionalism. The implication is that professional development program organizers need to carefully consider various things so that more educators can participate in the programs provided, including analyzing the knowledge and skills teachers need.

Abstract

The challenge of online learning in higher education is that there is often a lack of focus on students taking part in lectures, which causes a loss of learning. This study aims to analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of the co-construction online learning model in early childhood education management courses. The research method uses a research and development approach with the ADDIE model. Data collection was carried out by interviews, questionnaires, and observations on 88 students taking early childhood education management courses. Product feasibility testing was carried out from questionnaire data analysis on 10 statement items using a four-rating scale, while observations and interviews were used to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the co-construction online learning model. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive and quantitative techniques to analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of implementing the co-construction online learning model. The results of the study in the electronic feasibility test for teaching materials achieved a score of 71.4%, which means it is feasible and does not need revision. While the effectiveness test was carried out twice with different timeframes, in the first data collection there were 73% of active students, then it increased in the second data collection with 88% of active students. This increase is to Skinner's theory of operant conditioning learning, where individual behavior is influenced by the repetition of actions received.

Abstract

Understanding the early childhood mapping resources that are now available so that educators can assess students' literacy and numeracy It makes it challenging for teachers to assess how well their students are reading and using numbers. The aim of this research is to create early mapping tools for children's literacy and numeracy skills and to determine the instruments' levels of worth. The R&D 3D model (define, design, and extent) is used in this research technique. Two academics who served as the instrument's validators are the source of the data used in this investigation. A questionnaire is used in the data collection process. Techniques for analysing data that use Cronbach alpha for instrument reliability and validity tests. According to research, coefficiencies of application for a high-category early child literacy instrument are obtained by using the Gregory formula to the results of expert validation for early childhood literacy instruments. These yields coefficients of content. According to preliminary literacy instrument test findings, every item is valid. With a score of 0.933, Cronbach's alpha falls into the highly reliable category. Early evaluations of early childhood numerical instruments indicated a very high content. All qualifying items in the reliability testing of numerating instruments have a Cronbach's alpha score of 0.914, bringing them in a highly reliable category. Based on these results, the instrument can be used to assess early childhood development through assessing abilities in numeracy and literacy.

Abstract

Learning for children at an early age refers to integrating learning through play. However, the need to integrate these concepts is a problem that still needs to be resolved in the literature. Apart from that, the conflict between parents' expectations for children and teachers' achievements is a complaint for kindergarten teachers in implementing play-based project learning with a Playworld approach, resulting in teachers' perceptions of this learning model. This research analyzes kindergarten teachers' perspectives on project learning through play with a Playworld approach. The sample for this research was 228 kindergarten teachers who were randomly selected using convenience sampling techniques. Questionnaires and FGDs were used to collect research data. Quantitative data was obtained by distributing questionnaires using Google Forms. Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive analysis, and qualitative data was analyzed using thematic analysis. The research results show that kindergarten teachers have an average of 70.75 knowledge about project learning through playing with the Playworld approach, 69.09% experience using it, and 34.48% teacher creativity in using this learning. Based on these results, teachers experience difficulties integrating learning through play, especially play-based project learning with a Playworld approach. These findings have implications for improving the quality of learning and increasing teachers' abilities in designing and implementing better learning.
