Abstract

The shuttle run exercise is a form of exercise that can improve agility. The zigzag run exercise is a form of agility training that involves the use of bollards and stakes. UM Palopo futsal players must have good dribbling skills. The conditions experienced by UM Palopo futsal players still often make mistakes in their dribbling skills. The lack of skills possessed by UM Palopo futsal players is due to the lack of agility training models that can support the achievements of futsal players. This study aims to reveal the effect of shuttle run and zig-zag run training on dribbling skill. The method used is a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). The population is 20 people from UKM Futsal UM Palopo. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data collection technique used the dribbling skill instrument and was analyzed by using the sig level t test. = 0.05. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant effect of shuttle run with a value of tcount value of 20,904 > ttable of 1,812 and pvalue that is 0.000 < 0.05. Zig-zag run with tcount value of 26,826 > ttable of 1,812 and pvalue that is 0.000 < 0.05. The improvement in shuttle run training with an average value of 17.55 and zig-zag run training with an average value of 15.61 and a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. It can be concluded that the zig-zag run is more effective in improving dribbling skills.

Abstract

The study aimed at exploring the implementation of physical education (PE) teaching during the Covid 19 Pandemic at elementary schools of sub-district of Balung, Jember, Indonesia. This descriptive research which follows the quantitative approach implemented the survey method using one shot case study. The samples participating in the study are 12 SE teachers. In order to gather the data, a questionnaire was distributed to the participants online through Google Form, containing 10 items. The data obtained were analyzed in descriptive quantitative through percentage. The findings indicate that all participants (100%) conduct the teaching and learning, where 50% of them delivered the teaching in online learning and 58% confirmed that the learning adheres to the lesson plans. Moreover, 67% of the participants informed that the learning materials are in the same order as stated in the lesson plans, 67% used WhatsApp groups as their teaching media, 67% of the participants informed that their students were enthusiastic and participated actively in the class, 50% have cooperated with their students’ parents for supporting learning, 67% of them stated the assessment was based on submitted exams and tasks, 58% stated that the assessment was less effective. Meanwhile, the analysis of learning indicators reveal that generally 41% of the participants claim difficulties in accessing good Internet connection, and 42% of the participants’ students could not afford smartphones for their learning and thus could not submit their tasks. Briefly the Covid 19 pandemic does not hamper the conduct of teaching and learning though it is now delivered online, however, in general the study found that the teaching and learning is less effective; therefore, more attention needs to be paid to students especially with their obstacles in using the learning media and accessing proper Internet connection.

Abstract

Many studies that examine physical activity and motor skills have been carried out in sports. These studies explain that physical activity has a very positive effect on improving motor skills and athlete performance in all sports. However, the results of each study tend to be different, so it is necessary to carry out inclusive data analysis to provide comprehensive information about the importance of activity in improving athletes' motor skills. This study examines the effect size test of physical activity on motor skills in sports. This study uses a meta-analysis study method. The source of data in this study is Google Scholar. Search literature from various sources using relationships, physical activity, and motor skills. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of identifying variables, identifying the value of r, transforming the value of r into a z distribution, the effect size of each study, calculating the variance, calculating the standard error of z, and calculating the summary effect. The summary effect calculation uses Jeffreys's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) software. The final result of this study explains a significant positive correlation between physical activity and motor skills. A correlation value of Random Effect (r_RE) 0.8453 indicates that the relationship between physical activity and motor skills is included in the high category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity and effectiveness of the basic movement technique guidelines for volleyball games with biomechanical analysis using the kinovea application. The results of this study are expected to improve students' ability to understand and master basic volleyball techniques effective and efficient. Development research is used to answer the problems found. The research was conducted on SMK/SMA level students from January to April 2021. The research instruments include the kinovea application, interview guide, documentation, and the effectiveness test questionnaire sheet from the manual that will be filled out by the respondent. The results showed that the development of a basic technique manual for playing volleyball was effective. As evidence of the feasibility of the book, 80.1% of the small group test is feasible, the medium group test is 88.1% very feasible category, and the large group test shows that 89.1% is in the very feasible category. Based on the test results of small, medium, and large groups, the development of a basic technical manual for playing volleyball for SMK Negeri 1 Surabaya is quite practical. As a further suggestion, it is necessary to develop types of games that support the introduction of basic techniques in volleyball.

Abstract

This study aimed to test the SOS game used as a means to warm up. SOS games were usually played on paper. The trial game consists of 3 different levels. This game could be used as a movement activity to warm up. With some modifications, this game was tested. The trial was conducted on junior high school students, totaling 40 students. The data was obtained by measuring the pulse. Pulse was measured by counting the pulse in the neck for 10 seconds. The calculation result is multiplied by 6 to determine the number of pulses per minute—data analysis by comparing the measurement results with heating criteria based on age. The results showed that the first trial had a pulse rate of 142. Based on trial with 40 samples each at level 1, 140 level 2, 143, and level 3, 143 beats per minute. All of these pulses were in the exercise pulse. So it can be recommended that this game be used for heating purposes.
