Abstract

The main task in the IHKP division is to deliver goods in the form of materials, semi-finished products, finished products, or even waste, from plant A to plant B in the consumer factory area, namely the PT XYZ factory. Based on the Traffic Accident Data from the IHKP Division, there were 18 major accidents that occurred in 2016-2020. In solving the above problems, the IHKP division carries out risk management only after the risk occurs. The IHKP Division does not yet have an effective risk prevention plan. In other words, the aim of this study was to design the system of risk management for the company's material handling services to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 based on ISO 31000:2018. In the first stage of the study, researchers conducted a gap analysis of the actual condition of the company and its requirements. In the second stage, the researcher makes a proposed business process design according to the gaps obtained. In the third stage, a business process improvement method was applied by the researchers to the proposed business. As a result, the proposed business process and the draft SOP are then verified to the company to ensure whether the proposal is in accordance with the company or not.

Abstract

All agricultural tools require key components in the manufacturing process, one of which is metal. The metal commonly used in the manufacture of agricultural machinery is a type of steel with a medium carbon content. This type of metal is found in many vehicle parts, so parts with moderate carbon content are spring parts. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effect of temperature variations on the manufacture of agricultural equipment products made from coil springs on their mechanical properties. In this study, an analysis of the coil spring steel was carried out. The research methods used included sample pieces, heat treatment with temperature changes of 815 OC, 830 OC and 850 OC, quenching with SAE 20-50 W oil cooling media, hardness test and metallographic test. From the results of the study, the highest percentage of martensite microstructure was at 850 OC temperature specimens with a value of 64% and the lowest percentage was at 830 OC temperature specimens with a value of 42%. The high percentage of bainite microstructure is at 830 OC temperature specimen with a value of 58% and the lowest percentage is at 850 OC temperature specimen with a value of 36%. Meanwhile, the highest percentage of ferrite microstructure is at 815 OC temperature specimens and the lowest percentage is in non heat treated specimens with a value of 40%. By comparison on non-heat treated specimens which have a value of 40% ferrite and 60% pearlite. The microstructure with the largest grain shape is found in the specimen at 850 OC temperature with grain number 4 and the micro structure with the smallest grain shape is found in the specimen at 815 OC having grain number 6 with a comparison of non-heat treated specimens having grain number 7. Obtained an average value – The highest average hardness with oil cooling media on coil spring steel has a hardness value of 76.75 HRC at a temperature of 850°C. While the lowest average hardness value with oil cooling media on coil spring steel has a hardness value of 75.4 HRC, namely at a temperature of 815 °C, with a hardness ratio of 71.3 HRC in the initial conditions without heat treatment.

Abstract

Pharmacy CBA is a trading business that engages in pharmaceutical and medical devices. Uncertainty and complexity have been identified as risks in business supply chains. Further measurement is needed in order to enhance the effectiveness of the pharmacy business process. The purpose of this study is to identify risk events and risk agents, calculate the risk value in the supply chain flow from upstream to downstream, and determine efforts to minimize risk. The method used in this research is HOR 2 phases, through a SCOR-based approach. The study begins with the identification of risk events and risk agents based on SCOR, then calculates the level of severity, occurrence, and correlation for the calculation of the HOR 1. Identified 45 risk events, 23 risk agents, and 19 actions to minimize risk. Aggregate risk potential is calculated as a result of HOR 1. From 23 risk agents, ten are prioritized based on the most significant ARP value. In the calculation of HOR 2, 10 risk mitigation strategies are obtained to minimize risk along with the supply chain stream. There are four approaches to implementing the ten mitigations: HR Development, Customer Relationship Management-based approach, Supplier relationship management, and facility design.

Abstract

The results of observations made by the research team at MSME (Micro, Small and medium Enterprises) of onion crackers in the cracker cutting section found that for cutting they still use manual tools, namely knives by bending the cutting method so they get tired easily, take a long time and the results are not homogeneous so the results are less optimal. Optimal is meant to be efficient and effective at the available resources, in order to get as much profit as possible by keeping costs as low as possible, by designing an ergonomic cracker cutter. The purpose of designing ergonomic tools in question is the design of tools that produce a work system using anthropometric measurements, focused on designing ergonomic cracker cutting tools that can be used by operators with more effective, efficient, safe, comfortable results and can increase productivity. In this case, the solution that can be done is to design a tool for cutting crackers using anthropometric measurements with the results: tool height 102.5 cm, tool length 52.9 cm, tool width 51.8 cm, and machine handle diameter length of 2.5 cm. From the calculation results, the results obtained if using the old tool the standard output is 3 kg/hour, whereas if using the new tool the standard output is 9.18 kg/hour, so that the productivity is 206%.

Abstract

Abstract

The competition in the automotive industry is increasingly challenging, where the company's task of ensuring customers are satisfied with the products we produce is the main factor in winning them. That is the value of the manufacturing industry to continuously improve quality. This study aims to reduce the reject rate and determine the priority of problems in the fuel tank production process. This study uses the six sigma method based on a simple problem-solving methodology consisting of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. This method combines various statistical tools and other process improvement approaches. The results of this study show that the company's Sigma level in February carried out in the welding & press section obtained a sigma value of 4.0 and process capability of 1.34. This means that the quality control process that has been carried out has not been going well because the product is defective and still needs to be improved. Finally, this paper provides some recommendations for improving process capability.

Abstract

A product defect is a product failure that does not meet the quality and standards that have been determined from a product. Product defects occur because of a problem in the production process. With a product defect in the coffee packing production process at PT. XYZ, one of which is unstable weight and the exp date is not printed, so the researcher analyzes the problem with one of the six sigma methods, namely using the FTA and FMEA methods. Failure Tree Analysis (FTA) is a graphical model containing the various parallels and various sample errors that lead to the occurrence of an undesired event. Meanwhile, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is a structured procedure to identify and prevent possible failure modes. In this study, four types of defects occur in the packaging process including folded packaging, top leaking packaging, bottom leaking packaging, blurry exp date.
