Abstract

The tight competition between Maternity Hospital services in Sidoarjo Regency is marked by the increasing number of couples of childbearing age and family planning participants, as well as the high rate of pregnant women and the birth of babies, becoming a big challenge for the Maternity Hospital management to be able to know, understand and fulfill the needs and desires of consumers. patients) so that customer satisfaction can be met, for example fast, accurate, friendly service, at an adequate price. This is the reason for the management to make improvements from the quality program that has been run previously. However, not all quality improvement programs carried out will provide benefits for the management, because many of these improvement programs are wasteful after being implemented. This is because the management does not focus on the quality improvement program that will be implemented, that is, it does not determine which variables are the most influential for the quality improvement program. At this X Maternity Hospital, complaints or complaints are often found from patients about the services provided, for example at the counter service which is less prompt in providing services, and the inconvenience of services in the inpatient room. The data was obtained from the Maternity Hospital management through the available suggestion/vote box, then used as a basis/reference for making a questionnaire as a follow-up to the problems that arose. Therefore, this study discusses the Maternity Hospital's efforts in planning a quality improvement program that is in accordance with the wishes and needs of patients by selecting and determining the variables or dimensions that have the most influence on the quality improvement program to be carried out, as well as assessing its financial feasibility by using the Return on Quality (ROQ) approach. From the application of ROQ at a Maternity Hospital X in Sidoarjo Regency, two quality improvement programs were determined from the two dimensions of the X Maternity Hospital service process, they are beds and patient registration. The ROQ value of each program based on the discount rate (5%, 10%, 15%) is 1.54; 0.99; 0.49 for the inpatient room service process, and 1.25; 0.61; 0.24 for the process of front office and administration services. For this reason, the dimension that is the focus of the quality improvement program is the inpatient room service process with the dimensions of the bed.

Abstract

CV. AAA is a company engaged in the production of water tanks. As a player in the manufacturing industry, CV. AAA performs continuous improvement in each production process to minimize losses due to non-value-added activities due to waste and ineffectiveness in carrying out the production process. This research objective evaluates activities that cause waste in the water tank production line with a Lean approach and ergonomics. This research begins by describing the current state map to identify waste throughout the production flow. Followed by the analysis of the occurrence of non-value-added activities at the stages of the production process. The results showed that three wastes were identified, namely Waiting, Defect, and Excess Processing. The non-optimal production process is because the tools used are manual labor which can lead to the risk of muscle injury to the operator. Nordic Body Map Scoring result obtained from four operators found that the final score is from medium to high level. Scenario improvement presented in future state map shows in reducing cycle time as well as lead time.

Abstract

PT Indonesia Wacoal is a garment company that produces underwear with several product variations: panties. Companies must always produce good quality products by maximizing production results and high productivity. However, waste becomes an obstacle to the company's performance in carrying out its production. The potential for the emergence of waste can occur in all company activities, where PT Indonesia Wacoal experienced the same thing. This study aims to identify and analyze waste that occurs in the production process of panties. The waste is defective products, transportation, excessive movement, and waiting time. The method used in this article is seven tools: the Pareto diagram and the fishbone diagram. The identification results indicate that the waste of defective products in Wolly yarn is about 211 seconds or 64.04%. In addition, there is a long process of transferring material from QC to the finished product warehouse of around 1188 seconds or 29.73%. Furthermore, excessive movement in the sewing process for 2340 seconds or 45.14% and waste due to the waiting time for the storage process to the next process is 4320 seconds or 42.40%. The identification results show several factors causing waste such as labor, machines, methods, materials and the environment.

Abstract

Virtual Plasa is a new digital service from PT. Telkom, released in 2020, with the intention of providing communication services from Telkom concisely. This study aims to determine the quality of service at Virtual Plasa, identify and evaluate the causes of the gap, and recommend improvement. The results show that Virtual Plasa services have a significant level of service quality. Even if the average expectation is higher than the average perception, the difference is modest, and the overall service is good. The Wilcoxon test results show that only two of eighteen attributes have a significant negative value, which is the website has a positive image and follow up on the website as promised. The attribute "Follow up on the website as promised" appears in the IPA diagram's priority quadrant. This attribute's fulfillment gap is caused by information gap (-0.58). Recommendation for this issue involve scheduling management to monitor directly the transactions done, creating a record feature, and asking customers to fill out the feedback section after completing transactions in Virtual Plasa. On the IPA diagram, the attribute "website has a positive image" is found in the low priority quadrant. The recommendation include creating defined guidelines for the Virtual Plasa image.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a source of the regional and national economy. MSMEs have many roles in the social economy including being the main actor in economic activity, providing employment, playing a role in local economic development and community empowerment, a source of innovation, and creating new markets. Pasuruan Regency is one of the tempe centers in East Java. More than 200 families are engaged in Tempe production, including those in the Bangil sub-district, Purwodadi sub-district, Kejayan sub-district and Sukorejo sub-district. The main problem faced by Tempe Production SMEs is the machine or soybean dregs separator used, still using traditional tools (humans) which are less effective and efficient so that it takes a long time and there are working positions for workers who lack ergonomics, causing workload which is more. The purpose of this activity is how to make or design a design tool and work aid test for soybean dregs separator machines from soybean seeds to reduce the workload of making soybeans into tempeh and to be able to reduce the portion of the workload on tempe-making workers with anthropometric calculations.
