Abstract

Ketidak pastian pendapatan yang diperoleh kepala keluarga sebagai nelayan mendorong anggota rumah tangga yaitu istri untuk bekerja agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan rumah tangga. laki-laki yang berperan serbagai nerlayan  merncari nafkah derngan mernangkap ikan       dan ada jurga yang tertap berrperran didarat derngan perkerrjaan yang terrkadang tidak dapat merncurkurpi kerburturhan serhari-hari. Oleh karena itu, nelayan yang melaut belum bisa dipastikan memperoleh penghasilan. Maka dari itu kaurm perrermpuran persisir diharurskan urnturk serlalur terrlibat dalam merncari nafkah kerlurarga serbagai antisipasi jika pernghasilan tidak didapat olerh surami merrerka. penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Tingkat pendapatan, pengaruh Tingkat partisipasi dan pengaruh Tingkat Pendidikan ibu rumah tangga nelayan terhadap pendapatan keluarga. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan  Nopember tahun 2022 di kelurahan Sungai Salak Kecamatan Tempuling Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Riau. Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai penelitian kualitatif, bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan ibu rumah tangga nelayan dalam menunjang pendapatan keluarga di Sungai Salak Kecamatan Tempuling Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir (Riau) dalam meperoleh data peneliti menggunakan survei, observasi, wawancara, dan kuisioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ibu-ibu rumah tangga mempunyai peranan penting dalam kehidupan rumah tangganya. Berrdasarkan hasil pernerlitian dapat disimpurlkan bahwa Tingkat perndapatan ibur rurmah tangga nerlayan yang di katergorikan tinggi sangat merndurkurng dalam mernurnjang pernghasilan kerlurarga nerlayan. Partisipasi istri nerlayan dalam membantu para suami menambah penghasilan juga sangat berpengaruh terhadap pendapatan keluarga, serta Tingkat Pendidikan para ibu-ibu nelayan bepengaruh juga terhadap pendapatan keluarga, semakin tinggi Pendidikan istri nelayan maka semakin baik pola pikir istri nelayan tersebut dalam mencari pekerjaan yang mana tidak terlalu memakan banyak waktu diluar.

Abstract

Proses pembenihan udang vannamei melibatkan pengelolaan kondisi lingkungan dan kualitas air yang optimal untuk mendukung perkembangan larva. Kualitas air yang buruk dapat mendukung bakteri Vibrio sp. menyebar secara cepat. Parameter kualitas air seperti Total Organic Matter dan alkalinitas berpengaruh terhadap kelimpahan Vibrio sp. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh TOM dan alkalinitas serta interaksinya terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelimpahan Vibrio sp. Pengujian ini dilakukan pada 3 kolam yaitu kolam A22, A23, dan A27. Parameter kualitas air yang diuji adalah Total Organic Matter (TOM), Alkalinitas, dan Total Vibrio Count (TVC). Pengujian tambahan juga dilakukan untuk parameter pH, Nitrit (NO2), dan Total Ammonium Nitrogen (TAN). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kelimpahan bakteri Vibrio sp. di pembenihan udang vannamei tidak dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh bahan organik dan alkalinitas. Hal ini tidak bisa terlepas dari faktor parameter kualitas air lainnya.

Abstract

Tambak di Indonesia terutama di Kabupaten Banyuwangi biasanya menghasilkan produk perikanan yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi berorientasi ekspor. Salah satu produk perikanan yang sedang berkembang saat ini adalah udang vanname (Litopenaeus vannamei). Pengembangan system budidaya udang vanname menggunakan system intensif selain memperhatikan pakan, keberadaan plankton juga merupakan salah satu factor penting dalam budidaya udang sebagai tropic level dalam perairan di mana fitoplankton menjadi produsen utama atau tropic level pertama di perairan. Sifat plankton dalam perairan bisa menguntungkan dan atau merugikan. Kondisi fisika, kimia, dan biologi suatu perairan juga akan memengaruhi distribusi plankton di perairan secara langsung akan berpengaruh pada kelimpahan plankton. Kualitas air pada budidaya udang vanname ini dikelola dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi probiotik dan penumbuhan plankton. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperkirakan kelimpahan dan stabilitas air tambak dari pengukuran biologis (variasi, keragaman, dan dominasi plankton) di tambak udang CV. Lautan Sumber Rejeki Banyuwangi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif secara deskriptif. Adapun parameter uji pada penelitian ini yaitu kelimpahan plankton, keanekaragaman plankton, keseragaman plankton, dan dominasi jenis plankton yang terdapat pada tambak udang vanname. Hasil identifikasi plankton pada tambak udang vanname di CV. Lautan Sumber Rejeki Banyuwangi ditemukan 4 jenis plankton diantaranya yaitu : (33,3 – 39)% dari golongan Chlorophyta (Green Algae), (5 – 12)% dari golongan Cyanophyta (Blue-Green Algae), (32 – 34)% dari golongan Bacillariophyta (Diatoms), (7,2 – 9)% dari golongan Phyrrophyta (Dinoflagellata), dan 7% dari golongan Protozoa. Status indeks keanekaragaman (H’) sedang, indeks keseragaman (E) tinggi dan indeks dominasi rendah.

Abstract

The primary challenge encountered in the production of tilapia is a bacterial disease that is induced by the bacterium Aeromonas hydrophila. Crop failure and the mortality of cultured animals are among the consequences. Certain herbal plants contain antioxidants that can exert a therapeutic effect against the A. hydrophila bacterium. The objective of this investigation is to ascertain the survival of fish following infection with A. hydrophila bacteria and their behavior and morphology prior to and following immersion in purple sweet potato leaf extract (Ipomoea batatas). In the initial stage, the survival rate was assessed through the challenge test with A. hydrophila 108 bacteria. The second stage involved the observation of the behavior and morphology before and after immersion in purple sweet potato leaf extract (I. batatas). This research was conducted in two phases. The treatment concentrations were as follows: treatment A (without extract / 0 mg/L), treatment B (40 mg/L), treatment C (60 mg/L), and treatment D (80 mg/L). In the research, abnormal behavioral changes, including the presence of red sores on the tail and a decline of appetite, were observed. The fish maintained an appetite, exhibited normal body movements, and swam actively when treated with D. Conversely, treatment A demonstrated a subpar response until the conclusion of the observation period. The effective inhibition of mortality in Nile tilapia was demonstrated by the survival rate of Nile tilapia larvae infected with A. hydrophila bacteria after treatment with a solution of purple sweet potato leaf extract (I. batatas) for 24 hours. The survival rate was observed over a 7-day period.

Abstract

Teripang pasir adalah salah satu hewan Echinodermata yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang sangat tinggi. Karena memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi, Teripang pasir dieksploitasi cukup besar sehingga berdampak pada penurunan stok teripang di alam. Penurunan stok teripang telah terjadi di beberapa perairan di Indonesia seperti perairan Nusa Tenggara Timur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui distribusi spasial habitat spesies teripang di wilayah pesisir Pantai Weain Desa Kenebibi Kabupaten Belu yang mempunyai potensi pengembangan sumberdaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif, pengambilan sampel teripang, susbtrat, dan titik koordinat lokasi dilakukan di Perairan Pantai Weain Desa Kenebibi Kabupaten Belu yang terbagi menjadi 3 stasiun pengamatan dengan 10 titik sampel di setiap stasiun. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Sedangkan untuk pengumpulan data sosial ekonomi, dilakukan melalui wawancara kepada masyarakat pesisir di Desa Kenebibi. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu sebaran substrat spesies Holuthuria scabra dan Holothuira fuscosgilva berdasarkan jenis substratnya, menggunakan analisis citra satelit Planet Scope selanjutnya analisis data akan dilakukan dengan sistem informasi geografis menggunkaan metode maximum likelihood. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendahuluan sebagai informasi yang mengkaji keberadaan potensi sumberdaya teripang di Desa Kenebibi, Kabupaten Belu dalam rangka melestarikan sumberdaya teripang serta mendukung sumberdaya teripang yang berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan sebaik mungkin.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of various types of organic materials in cultivation media to enhance the production and quality of silkworms (Tubifex sp.). The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA approach. The results show that organic materials such as tofu waste, rice bran, poultry manure, cow dung, and household compost significantly affect silkworm biomass and nutritional content. The best outcomes were found in studies using mixed and fermented organic substrates, which improved growth and maintained the stability of the rearing environment. An ideal substrate is one that has a balanced C/N ratio, supports microbial activity, and maintains stable physical-chemical media conditions. This study concludes that locally available organic materials, when properly managed, offer strong potential to support sustainable and environmentally friendly Tubifex cultivation systems.

Abstract

The condition of coral reefs on Gili Noko Island has decreased due to climate change and human activities. The initial survey results showed a medium damage category on coral reefs and the dominance of Dead Coral with Algae (DCA). This research was conducted in the waters of Gili Noko Island, Bawean which was divided into 4 stations with the aim of describing oceanographic conditions, describing DCA characters and analyzing various factors that cause DCA abundance on Gili Noko Island. This research was conducted from November 2024 to July 2025. The method used was the Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) method to see the percentage of coral cover. Coral cover abundance data were analyzed using Coral Point Count with Excel Extensions (CPCe) software. Data on oceanographic parameters and water quality were taken in situ and tested in the laboratory using the UV Vis spectrophotometer method to see the content of nitrate and phosphate. The research data were analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to determine the correlation between DCA abundance and physico-chemical water quality parameters. The results showed that the physico-chemical parameters reflect the tropical waters of Gili Noko Island and support the life of marine organisms including coral reefs. DCA abundance was found at all observation stations with the highest abundance at station 1 at 48.3%. This was caused by the high nitrate concentration of 0.2532 mg/L. DCA abundance on coral reefs is dominated by turf algae or benthic macroalgae. The PCA correlation results showed the DCA abundance factor was influenced by nitrate concentration.

Abstract

Traditional drinks are drinks made from natural ingredients and have a unique taste. Padina minor is a species of brown seaweed that has bioactive compounds and antioxidant activity that are beneficial for the body so that it can be used as an additional ingredient in making traditional drinks so that it can be used as functional food. This study aims to determine the best formula for traditional drinks with the addition of p.minor. The parameters observed include water content, solubility and antioxidants. The results of the research test showed that the water content of the four formulations including the control met the requirements for the Quality Requirements for Traditional Drink Powder According to the Indonesian National Standard 01-4320-1996, which is a maximum of 3.0%. The results of the solubility test showed the highest solubility value at the P4 concentration of 31.36%. And the results of the antioxidant test showed the presence of strong antioxidant ability in the interval of 50-100 mg / L. This product can be categorized as a functional food with the antioxidant content it contains which can improve health.

Abstract

Eucheuma spinosum is a seaweed that produces refined carrageenan, a type of carrageenan that has been processed and purified to remove impurities and non-carrageenan components, resulting in a product with higher purity and better quality. Refined carrageenan is generally used in various products in the food and cosmetic industries as a thickener, stabilizer, and gelling agent. The study aims to determine the effect of KCl precipitation solution on the yield, pH, moisture content, and ash content of refined carrageenan from Eucheuma spinosum seaweed. This study used a completely randomized design with three KCl concentrations: 1%, 1.25%, and 1.5%. The stages of refined carrageenan production included washing, soaking in a 0.15% KOH solution, rinsing with water until reaching a neutral pH, extraction, precipitation for 30 minutes with KCl solution at various concentrations, filtration, and drying in an oven at 70°C for 48 hours.The results showed that the highest yield was obtained with the 1.5% KCl treatment, which was 6.23%, while the best results for pH, ash content, and moisture content were found at the 1% KCl concentration, with values of 6.30, 20.07%, and 4.55%, respectivelys.

Abstract

This study investigated the relationship between habitat substrate, water quality parameters and ornamental fish distribution in the waters of Serangan Island, Bali. Using a community ecology approach, this study found that coral substrate supported higher diversity and abundance of ornamental fish species than sand and coral-sand substrate. Water quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen, salinity, water brightness and pH showed significant influence on species distribution. Species identification provided detailed data on morphology, meristics and conservation status based on the IUCN Red List. These results confirm the importance of coral habitat conservation and water quality management to support the sustainability of ornamental fish populations in the region
