Abstract

Ikan nila hitam (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan ikan air tawar yang banyak dikonsumsi dan memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Air kelapa merupakan cairan yang ada didalam buah kelapa, air kelapa memiliki kandungan zat gizi yang baik, Sehingga dalam penelitian ini air kelapa dijadikan campuran fermentasi probiotik. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan air kelapa pada probiotik yang dicampurkan kedalam pakan terhadap pertumbuhan benih ikan nila hitam (Oreochromis niloticus). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa perbedaan penambahan air kelapa pada probiotik yang dicampurkan kedalam pakan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan berat mutlak, panjang mutlak dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila hitam. Untuk pertumbuhan berat mutlak didapatkan nilai tertinggi pada perlakuan perlakuan E (5,47 gram), sedangkan pertumbuhan panjang mutlak didapatkan nilai tertinggi pada perlakuan A (3,17 cm), dan untuk kelangsungan hidup didapatkan nilai tertinggi pada perlakuan A (95%).

Abstract

Lemuru (Sardinella lemuru) merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan pelagis kecil yang tersebar hampir diseluruh wilayah Indonesia. Permintaan yang tinggi memiliki potensi terhadap penurunan hasil tangkapan sehingga upaya pengelolaan sumberdaya lemuru sangat dibutuhkan untuk menjamin keberlanjutan pemanfaatannya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui fluktuasi produksi lemuru, menentukan tren fluktuasi catch per unit effort (CPUE), dan pola musim penangkapan lemuru dengan alat tangkap purse seine di PPN Prigi. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2023, bertempat di PPN Prigi dengan metode deskriptif yang berfokus di PPN Prigi. Data yang digunakan meliputi data produksi bulanan lemuru (kg) dan upaya penangkapan lemuru (trip) dengan alat tangkap purse seine di 10 tahun terakhir (2012-2022). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi lemuru berfluktuasi dengan kecenderungan meningkat setiap tahunnya. Peningkatan produksi Lemuru terjadi mulai tahun 2019 dan tertinggi pada tahun 2020 dan kembali mengalami penurunan pada tahun 2021 dan 2022. Hasil perhitungan nilai CPUE dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun berfluktuatif namun cenderung mengalami peningkatan. Nilai CPUE terendah terdapat pada tahun 2017 sebesar 0.89 kg/trip dan nilai CPUE tertinggi terdapat pada tahun 2021 sebesar 541.97 kg/trip. Nilai Indeks Musim Penangkapan dapat memberikan informasi terkait waktu yang tepat dalam menentukan rencana kegiatan penangkapan oleh nelayan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa puncak musim penangkapan lemuru di PPN Prigi terjadi pada bulan Oktober-Januari.

Abstract

Gili Labak is a small island in Sumenep Regency. The area of ​​the island is only ± 5 ha, of which 2.1 ha is a stretch of white sand. The width of the white sand beaches surrounding Gili Labak Island is an average of 20 meters wide, with a coastline of 1,200 meters, providing a wide and comfortable beach tourism area for visitors. The coral reef ecosystem on Gili Labak Island, which is in good condition, covers an area of ​​80.99 ha. This research aims to evaluate the impact of marine tourism activities on coral reef ecosystems. Research was conducted using qualitative and quantitative methods. In this research qualitative methods were used related to tourism activities. The quantitative research method used is a survey method to observe the condition of the coral reef ecosystem on Gili Labak Island, and collect spatial data and attribute data. To determine the impact of tourism on the island of Gili Labak, a questionnaire survey was used to determine the demographics of visitors, their activities on the island. The results of observations of oceanographic conditions obtained in 2019 versus 2023 oceanographic data are not too different. The condition that is very different is the coral cover which tends to decrease. Coral life forms tend to be stable, but there is a decrease in the number of life forms at station 2 which is located on the west side of the island. The results of observations on habitat resilience show that all habitats have high resistance to natural disturbances, but changes in land area and habitat structure easily occur due to human activities, such as marine tourism and fishing boats. Marine tourism activities contribute greater pressure to coral reefs than fishing activities.

Abstract

Shrimp is a type of food that is categorized as a perishable food or also known as deterioration of quality, so it requires proper handling and processing to minimize the activity of several pathogenic bacteria. The handling procedure related to this is known as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) which includes the application of sanitation hygiene called Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP). This study aims to determine the implementation of SSOP carried out at PT. Tri Mitra Makmur Situbondo Regency, which is a large food industry, with its implementation on July - September 2023. The methodology used is descriptive methods with the primary and secondary data. The data was undertaken by observation follow directly all the the process which began with the raw materials to loading and interview. Abstract

Populasi pari di Indonesia terancam mengalami kepunahan. Kegiatan konservasi terkait dengan upaya penyelamatan spesies hewan laut yang hampir punah, namun juga terkait dengan masalah lingkungan secara global. Sampai saat ini masih belum ada regulasi dari pemerintah Indonesia yang secara spesifik memberikan perlindungan terhadap kelestarian ikan pari di perairan laut Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membahas regulasi yang memberikan perlindungan hukum terhadap ikan pari dari aktivitas perburuan illegal dan terdapat dua upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh pemerintah yakni upaya represif dan upaya preventif. Litbang KKP dalam 10 tahun terakhir penurunan jumlah pari manta bisa mencapai 30%. Hasil penelitian ini bahwa keuntungan ekonomi yang diperoleh dari hasil penangkapan pari selama ini lebih banyak dinikmati oleh para pemilik kapal dan pengumpul/pedangang sirip. Status konservasi ikan pari di alam berdasarkan data IUCN (2015) dari 156 spesies ikan pari, 10 spesies kategori endengered, 3 spesies kategori critically endangered, 21 spesies termasuk near threatened, 27 spesies vulnerable, 33 spesies least concern dan yang paling banyak 62 spesies kategori data deficient. Rekomendasi untuk tindakan upaya represif yaitu dilakukan melalui penegakan hukum dengan memberi sanksi. Upaya preventif dilakukan dengan cara membuat wilayah konservasi pari melalui edukasi dan penyadaran bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

Thalassia hemprichii is a spermatophyte plant that grows in aquatic ecosystems. This plant is a type of seagrass widely distributed in the waters of Southeast Sulawesi and has long been utilized by coastal communities for various purposes, including traditional medicine. This study aims to conduct phytochemical screening of Thalassia hemprichii infusion from the waters of Tondonggeu, Southeast Sulawesi, and to assess its potential as a natural antimicrobial agent. The methods used include interviews with local communities to explore traditional knowledge about seagrass utilization, as well as phytochemical screening of Thalassia hemprichii leaf infusion. The interview results show that the Tondonggeu community utilizes various parts of the seagrass plant for medicinal purposes, including as a wound treatment, antidiarrheal, fever medicine, stomach ache remedy, and nutritional supplement. Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of alkaloids, terpenoids, saponins, tannins, and flavonoids in the T. hemprichii leaf infusion. These findings indicate a correlation between traditional uses and phytochemical content, supporting the potential of T. hemprichii as a natural antimicrobial source. This study concludes that Thalassia hemprichii has significant potential for further development as a source of natural medicine, especially in antimicrobial discovery. However, further research is needed to isolate specific active compounds and conduct clinical trials to validate its safety and efficacy. The utilization of T. hemprichii as a source of natural medicine must be balanced with conservation efforts to ensure the sustainability of this species and the seagrass ecosystem. Abstract

Wolffia (Wolffia arrhiza) is thought to be a ration substitute for goldfish because it has a nutritional content of 34-45% protein along with essential amino acids, low crude fiber content ranging from 10-11%, starch content of 10-20% and fat of 1-5% . The aim of this research was to look at the effect of using Wolffia arrhiza on goldfish on evaluating body weight gain, feed conversion and meat quality. This research method uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experimental design with 4 treatments and 3 replications consisting of 4 tilapia fish in each replication. The parameters tested were body weight gain, ration conversion, and carp meat quality. This research shows that the use of fresh wolffia as goldfish rations has a good influence on body weight growth of 7.5 grams with a ration conversion value of 2.3 and meat quality based on meat protein content of 15.35%. The fresh wolffia formulation showed the best growth results in the D treatment with 20% fresh wolffia with 80% artificial pellets on goldfish. It is thought that Wolffia (Wolffia arrhiza) can be used as a ration substitute for goldfish because it has a nutritional content of 34-45% protein and essential amino acids, low crude fiber content ranging from 10-11%, starch content of 10-20% and fat of 1-5% . Abstract

Milkfish fry or nener is one of the leading commodities in Buleleng Regency, Bali. The fluctuating price of milkfish fry and the relatively large production and marketing margins cause a price difference between the selling and buying prices of milkfish fry, which can affect the work ethic of the farmers. This research uses a quantitative method with a simple linear regression approach to analyze the impact of fluctuations in the price of milkfish on the work ethic of cultivators. The purpose of the research is to further analyze the impact of fluctuations in the price of bandeng fish fry on the work ethic of fish farmers in Buleleng Regency, Bali. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that fluctuations in the price of bandeng fry have a significant impact on the work ethic of farmers in Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency. Simple linear regression analysis shows that there is a strong positive relationship between price fluctuations and work ethic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi kualitas air dan kelimpahan bakteri di tambak tradisional, serta menganalisis hubungan antara parameter kualitas air tersebut dengan kelimpahan bakteri. Penentuan titik pengambilan sampel air menggunakan metode purposive sampling, sebanyak 6 titik. parameter kecerahan, suhu, TDS, salinitas, pH, DO dan Amonia pada penelitian ini dilakukan secara langsung di lapangan (in situ), pengukuran kelimpahan bakteri dilakukan di Laboratorium dengan metode Total Plate Count (TPC). Data hasil pengukuran kualitas air dianalisis dengan membandingkan standar baku mutu terkait. Perbandingan berdasarkan standar baku Permen KP 76/2016, dan SNI 8038.1:2014. Metode Principal Component Analysis (PCA) digunakan untuk melihat hubungan parameter kualitas air dan nilai TPC. PCA menggunakan software statistic PAST 4. Nilai Parameter DO (Dissolved Oxygen), Salinitas, Suhu, dan TDS sudah sesuai dengan Baku Mutu, sedangkan pH, amoniak, dan kecerahan tidak sesuai baku mutu. Berdasarkan analisis PCA, terdapat hubungan yang positif antara parameter kecerahan dan suhu dengan nilai TPC (kelimpahan bakteri), Sedangkan parameter pH, amoniak dan TDS berkorelasi negative dengan nilai TPC.

Abstract

The Cempedik fish, which is popular on Belitung Island, is often studied for its gonadal maturity during the rainy season. This seasonal focus aligns with the peak fishing period for the species. However, no studies have yet been conducted on this species during the dry season. This research aims to analyze the gonadal maturity level of Cempedik fish (Osteochilus spilurus) during the dry season. Fish samples were collected from the Bumang River in Kemuja Village, Bangka Regency. A total of 30 fish were randomly sampled using traditional bamboo traps. Sampling was conducted at the peak of the dry season in July 2024. The majority of the fish showed gonadal maturity levels ranging from stages 3 to 4 in both males and females. The findings indicate that Cempedik fish, previously known to reach gonadal maturity during the rainy season, also exhibit high maturation levels in the dry season. This suggests that the species may reproduce throughout the year, during both the dry and rainy seasons.
