Abstract

Each motorized vehicle produces a variety of noise. This noise has a considerable impact on the tranquility of the area that is directly in contact with the highway. Therefore, setting the distance between the main school building and the highway must be taken into account, for the sake of realizing the comfort of the school students. The volume of motorcycles, the volume of private vehicles and public transportation has a significant effect on noise, from all the analysis calculations, the largest equation is obtained on the first day of the study, the third point (Sound Level Meter 3) a distance of 20.50m, with the calculation below, y = 54 .61 + 0.002x1 – 0.002x2 + 0.002x3 + 0.004x4. This equation means that if there is no decrease in the volume of the motorcycle, the noise level at SLM3 is 55.21 dBA. If there is an increase and decrease in the volume of the motorcycle it will have a significant effect on the noise. The second largest equation in the second day of research is at the second point (Sound Level Meter 2) a distance of 4.00m with an equation calculation of, y = 57.22 - 0.012x1 - 0.021x2 - 0.022x3 - 0.014x4. The meaning of the above equation is that if there is an increase in the volume of the motorcycle, the noise in SLM2 is 57.22dBA. From the results obtained, there was a reduction in the number of motorbikes during the Covid-19 pandemic, because students who were studying did not come to school. The reduction in the number of motorbikes crossing the SMA Taruna Terpadu Boash reached 52%.

Abstract

To carry out daily activities and fulfill needs requires movement. In carrying out these movement, there are two choice, namely moving with transportation modes or without transportation modes (walking). This study aims to knowing the factors that influence the choice of private and public transportation modes as well as modeling the choice of commuter transportation modes.  Focus of this study is Bulukumba regency that one of the regencies in the southern part of South Sulawesi. The transportation characteristics discussed are the characteristics of the trip (the purpose of he trip, time and distance), characteristics of behaviour travellers (mode selection and reasons for choosing the mode) and characteristics of transportation facilities (Quantitatively involves: waiting time, time for access to other modes and tariffs. Qualitatively involves: safety, comfort and trust). The result of the analysis obtained information that the dominant mode of transportation is used by commuter in Bulukumba regency are private motor vehicles. The tendency of the people of Bulukumba regency to use motorbikes is assessed because motorbikes have a high level of comfort and trust, cheap tariff, flexible schedule, easy access, quickly reach travel destinations and efficiency in use compared to private cars or public transportation modes.  The R2 value of the private motorbike mode selection model is 0.765 meaning that the education and work variables affect the motorbike mode selection by 76.5% and the rest is influenced by other variables. The model for selection public transportation modes has an R2 value of 0.666, meaning that the tourism and trade variables affect the choice of the public transportation modes by 66.6% and the rest is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Land use and transportation are well known to interact and influence one another. The COVID-19 pandemic is the global health crisis. The world faces difficulties managing disasters while making efforts to slowing the spread of COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic spreads quickly through physical contact, making it easy to spread in public places. The purpose of this study to determine the effects of land use and transportation interactions on COVID-19 transmission. The quantitative descriptive analysis and spatial statistical methods in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have been used in this study. Descriptive analysis to describe data related to land use characteristics in the research area. Spatial Statistical Method in GIS to analyze data from both structured and spatial observations. Cross-checking the land use from Google Street View around the bus stop within a 400 meter radius with the existing land use directly yielded the observations. The findings revealed that the type of land use demonstrated an intensity of activity that had a high potential for spreading COVID-19 because at the bus stop with land use around the trading center, shopping centers, and office buildings that have a high activity intensity, it appears that they have a high positive number of COVID-19

Abstract

Public space / public space is a container that accommodates certain activities of the community both individually and in groups. Public space is stated to be ideal and must have several important aspects, namely convivial, namely comfortable, safe, then becomes a forum for the community to interact between fellow users or other individuals. One of the public spaces owned by the city of Denpasar is Taman Kumbasari Tukad Badung, Taman Kumbasari Tukad Badung is located on the edge along the Badung river which has a length of approximately 548 meters, is in the middle of Badung Market and Kumbasari market and is located on the banks of the Badung River. This location poses a risk to the safety of its users, especially during the rainy season. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of security at the Kumbasari Tukad Badung Park facilities considering the position of this public space is on the edge of the Tukad Badung River. References. The research method uses quantitative statistical methods, namely by giving values based on existing standards. The results showed that the percentage of the quality of public space security in Taman Kumbasari Tukad Badung is in the range of 50%, where the facilities in Kumbasari Park can be said to have standard public space security.

Abstract

Structural analysis has been widely applied in civil engineering. This analysis based on probability theory. Structural analysis was carried out to calculate the probability of failure and reliability of the structure. There are many cases of construction failure caused by uncertain environmental and human activities, including improper load in the external design process. In the process of designing a structure in Indonesia, complicated analysis is rarely carried out because of the complexity and impracticality of the analysis. Engineers and developers need to understand the behavior of the space truss structure and procedures in structural reliability analysis, Therefore it is necessary to simplify the structure in the analysis of the structure. This paper has carried out a structural reliability analysis using simple space truss modeling to understand its structural behavior and the principles of structural analysis under indeterministic load with simplified methods to make it more practical. A comparison of struktural analysis was carried out on 3 methods of structural analysis, manual calculation, ETABS v9.7.4, and MStower V6.20.1.11. The results of the three methods have the same value so that the structural analysis using MStower is reliable. In the loading approach, the load that is developed into a population of possible loads that can occur. Monte Carlo simulation is used by generate a sample of the load population that can represent the number of possible loads so as to reduce the number of analyzes. Random value generation methods were compared to get a more effective and practical method. The failure criteria are determined to obtain the limit state function of the structure so that the probability of failure and the reliability of the structure can be calculated. In this study, the limit state function was obtained in compression member with a 67% probability of failure and 33% reliability of the structure.

Abstract

Economic development in urban areas indirectly changes the function of residential areas into commercial areas. Along with the development of the function of the Gajah Mada area, the threat of decreasing the visual quality of Jalan Gajah Mada as an artifact of the corridors of the Denpasar Old Town area naturally cannot be avoided. The need for increased trading space, high building density, development of economic functions that are more commercial in nature due to the demands of profit and modernization as well as a slum environment can also eliminate the visual character of the physical corridor of Jalan Gajah Mada which still retains the characteristics of Balinese architecture and the image of Kota Tua because Therefore, it is necessary to study the visual characteristics of the physical corridors of Jalan Gajah Mada so that directions regarding the arrangement should be considered in accommodating changes in the physical corridors so that they remain visually aligned. This research method is a type of descriptive research using qualitative methods. Descriptive research is a research that aims to provide a systematic, factual, accurate description of the facts and characteristics of the population so that it can produce the physical characteristics of the Jalan Gajah Mada corridor as seen from the path elements, architectural patterns and street trees that surround the corridor.
