Abstract

Social media is a platform that supports individual online self-presentation activities, especially for users in emerging adulthood. Emerging adulthood is a transitional phase where individual self-identity is being questioned. Many users at that age cannot make their online self-presentation as they should. This research aimed to find out how self-esteem, narcissistic personality, and online privacy can influence the online self-presentation of individuals in emerging adulthood. Participants in this research were 281 active Instagram users and were in the emerging adulthood age range, namely 18-25 years. The data analysis technique used hierarchical regression. The results show that self-esteem and narcissistic personality simultaneously influence online self-presentation, and a stronger influence is found when online privacy is included in the analysis. Narcissistic personality is the variable that most strongly influences online self-presentation of individuals in emerging adulthood. Female participants have a higher level of narcissistic personality than male participants.

Abstract

While serving his sentence, the convict will be placed in a Correctional Institution (LP). In Indonesia, these places experience overcapacity which can result in overcrowding of prisoners. These limitations on space and movement are also experienced by inmates at class 2A Ambarawa prison which results in inmates experiencing psychological problems such as low self-acceptance, feelings of guilt, and difficulty forgiving themselves. This can prevent the achievement of psychological well-being in prisoners while serving their sentence in Class 2A Ambarawa Penitentiary. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between self-forgiveness and the psychological well-being of class 2A Ambarawa prison inmates. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design. A total of 178 participants were involved using the sample random sampling technique. The research measurement used the self-forgiveness scale (a=0.894) and psychological well-being, it was measured using the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale (a=0.843). The results of the study proved that there was a significant positive relationship between self-forgiveness and psychological well-being in Class 2A Ambarawa Penitentiary inmates (r = 0.618 and a significant 0.000). This indicates that self-forgiveness is one of the factors related to the psychological well-being of class 2A Ambarawa Penitentiary inmates. This indicates that self-forgiveness is one of the factors related to improving the psychological well-being of inmates at Class 2A Penitentiary in Ambarawa. This research implies that it is hoped that convicts who are serving a period of detention will be able to increase their self-forgiveness so that they can overcome and survive feelings of guilt, and anxiety while still being able to achieve psychological well-being in their lives.

Abstract

Indonesia has 62 territory of the frontier, Outermost, and lagging (3T) where the area is located far from urban areas and scattered throughout the territory of Indonesia. It makes students have to go, where regional students described as someone who continue their education in other areas, which is caused by uneven system of higher education. As a student overseas, certainly many of the challenges faced by the start of differences in language and culture, so the importance of forming a good personality in achieving psychological well-being. Therefore, this study aims to determine the contribution of dimensions of big five personality on psychological well-being of regional students derived from 3T. The method used is quantitative with the design of the simple regression. Participants in this study were 53 regional students derived from the 3T in Satya Wacana Christian University with a snowball sampling technique. The measurement of research using the scale of big five personality and the scale of psychological well-being. Based on the results of the t test obtained the dimensions of extraversion, openness to experience and conscientiousness of the variables of the big five personality has an influence on psychological well-being, with a significance less than 0.05. While on the dimensions of neuroticism and agreeableness have no contribution to psychological well-being

Abstract

The rate of delays in early childhood development in Indonesia si quite worrying. It is also feared that the flow of globalization has the potential to diminish children’s love for their homeland, local wisdom values, and the practice of Pancasila values. Therefore, it is necessary to stimulate Pancasila values based on local wisdom in early childhood, but appropriate stimulation media are still very limited. This research aims to develop an educational game in the form of giant snakes and ladders containing local wisdom to stimulate the development of Pancasila values in early childhood. This research is research and development with the ADDIE model. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. Implementation involved 31 children aged 4-6 years at Kasih Ibu Kindergarten, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The research results show that the giant snake and ladder that was developed is very feasible and effective in stimulating the development of Pancasila values ​​in early childhood. Children increasingly understand concepts and are able to apply Pancasila values ​​in everyday life after being stimulated by giant snakes and ladders.

Abstract

Adolescents will inevitably face challenges and obstacles in their educational journey, so an optimistic mindset is essential for positive problem-solving. The "Best Possible Self" technique stands out as an effective strategy to foster optimism. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of applying the "Best Possible Self" method in increasing students' level of optimism. Using a True Experimental design with a control group, this study involved a pretest and posttest of 16 grade XI students at SMA Islam 3 Pakem, who were randomly selected. Data analysis used paired sample test and independent t-test. The results showed the success of the Best Possible Self intervention, which showed a substantial mean difference from the experimental group and for the control group there was no difference. In addition, significant differences between the experimental and control groups. The findings provide benefits for students and educators in adopting the Best Possible Self method as a tool to increase optimism and expand understanding in positive psychology.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem dan parent support terhadap career decision making self efficacy pada siswa kelas 12 SMK Negeri di Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional dan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu non-probability dengan jenis accidental sampling. Responden yang dilibatkan sebanyak 463 siswa kelas 12 SMK Negeri di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga skala yaitu versi adaptasi dari The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, versi adaptasi dari Career-Related Parent Support Scale, dan versi adaptasi dari Career Decision Making Self Efficacy Scale. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linear sederhana dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari self esteem terhadap career decision making self efficacy, (2) terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari parent support terhadap career decision making self efficacy, (3) terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan dari self esteem dan parent support terhadap career decision making self efficacy. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konflik peran ganda terhadap work engagement dengan mempertimbangkan pengaruh moderasi oleh hardiness pada wanita bekerja di BUMN yang sudah menikah. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 388 yang terdiri dari wanita bekerja di BUMN yang sudah menikah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen konflik peran ganda berdasarkan dimensi Greenhaus & Beutell (1985) yang telah modifikasi oleh Daulay (2018), instrumen Utrecht Work engagement Scale (UWES) milik Schaufeli dan Bakker (2004) yang telah dilakukan alih bahasa dan uji validitas oleh Andika (2021), dan instrumen Dispositional Resilience Scale (DSR) yang dikembangkan oleh Bartone (1995) berdasarkan alat ukur milik Kobasa yang sudah dimodifikasi oleh Fazriani (2020). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) menggunakan program SPSS versi 25. Penelitian ini menunjukan hasil bahwa hardiness sebagai variable moderator pengaruh konflik peran ganda terhadap work engagement memiliki nilai signifikansi 0,046 (<0,05) dengan nilai R Square sebesar 0,833. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa hardiness memoderasi pengaruh konflik peran ganda terhadap work engagement.

Abstract

The study explored the intersection of gender and school location on study habits among secondary school students in Lagos State, with a specific focus on the Alimosho Local Government Area. By evaluating 800 senior secondary students, with 80 selected through purposive sampling across three schools, the research aimed to provide insights into how these factors influence study habits. Utilising the Students Study Habits Inventory validated by Akinnade (2017), the study uncovered significant differences in study habits between genders, with males exhibiting more favorable study habits compared to females. This finding suggests that there may be underlying socio-cultural or educational factors shaping study behaviors differently for males and females in the context of Lagos State secondary schools. In contrast, while the study noted a potential association between school location and study habits, it did not reach statistical significance (p > 0.05). Based on these findings, several recommendations were proposed to enhance study habits among secondary school students. One suggestion involved implementing extra educational initiatives, such as the Students Interactive Programme, specifically tailored to address the needs of female students during post-school hours. This recognizes the importance of providing targeted support and resources to bridge the gender gap in study habits. Overall, the study highlights the importance of considering both gender and school location in understanding and addressing study habits among secondary school students in Lagos State. By implementing targeted interventions and support mechanisms, educational stakeholders can work towards fostering a conducive learning environment that promotes equitable access to academic success for all students, regardless of gender or geographical location.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) memiliki peran sentral dalam membentuk karakter dan moral siswa, terutama di era digital yang serba Kompleks ini. Dalam konteks ini, pengembangan model pembelajaran kooperatif menjadi suatu kebutuhan mendesak untuk merespons tantangan dan peluang yang ditawarkan oleh era digital. Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang memegang peranan penting dalam membentuk karakter dan moralitas siswa. Namun, dalam menghadapi era digital yang terus berkembang, tantangan baru muncul dalam upaya memastikan pembelajaran PAI tetap relevan dan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di era digital. Melalui kajian literatur dan penelitian, kami mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran kooperatif yang relevan dan mengintegrasikan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) ke dalam model pembelajaran tersebut. Model yang diusulkan ini adalah kompresi kolaborasi antar siswa, partisipasi aktif, pemanfaatan sumber daya digital, dan evaluasi berbasis teknologi. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan modelp embelajaran kooperatif dalam PAI yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi digital memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap kualitas pendidikan. Hal ini tidak hanya meningkatkan hasil akademik tetapi juga menanamkan nilai-nilai Islami secara efektif. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah memperluas model implementasi ini ke berbagai tingkat pendidikan dan memberikan pelatihan yang memadai bagi para pendidik dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital secara optimal. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran PAI dapat lebih responsif terhadap tantangan dan peluang di era digital.

Abstract

The consumer behavior of students at several private universities in Klaten to stop smoking with the issuance of the MUI fatwa on the prohibition of smoking and terrifying images warning of bad health effects on cigarette packaging was analyzed in this research by applying the TPB. The research objective is to test the independent variables of attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavior control which have a direct influence on student intention to smoke cessation. Primary data surveys are used as a quantitative research design. In this activity purposive sampling was used as a sampling technique. Data was collected through surveys and in-depth interviews with 300 students who had stopped smoking. The validity of the data was tested using item validity and reliability tests, goodness of fit tests and Structural Equation Model tests to test the influence of two moderating variables on the model simultaneously. The test results show that there is a direct influence of three independent variables on students' motivation to stop smoking. One moderating variable perceived- health is able to strengthen the influence of the independent variable on student intention to smoke cessation, while one moderating variable perceived-religiosity is not able to strengthen the influence of the independent variable on the student intention to smoke cessation variable.
