Abstract

The rapid integration of computer-based technologies has transformed the ways knowledge is created, accessed, and disseminated, while also presenting both opportunities and challenges for academic libraries. Traditional library services, although long established and essential, are under pressure to adapt to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). This study aims to critically analyze the awareness and readiness of academic library users to integrate AI into conventional library services, balancing innovation with tradition. A descriptive survey design was employed, involving 150 respondents, of which 120 valid responses were further analyzed. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics, including frequencies and percentages. The findings reveal that respondents’ level of awareness falls within the moderate category, with varying degrees of readiness to embrace AI implementation for enhancing library functions. The study concludes that although AI holds transformative potential for academic libraries, its successful adoption requires continuous user education, librarian capacity building, and supportive institutional policies. The implications highlight the importance of strategically integrating AI to ensure that libraries remain relevant, accessible, and innovative while preserving the strengths of traditional services.

Abstract

The low level of social attitudes among elementary school students, such as a lack of empathy, cooperation, and concern for others, is reflected in behaviors such as indifference, mocking peers, and reluctance to help classmates in learning. This condition highlights the importance of implementing a learning model that can effectively cultivate social values from an early age. This study aims to examine the effect of the Cooperative Learning model of the Group Investigation type assisted by card sort media on students' social attitudes in the Pancasila Education subject in third-grade elementary school. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a non-equivalent post-test only control group design. The study population consisted of 152 third-grade elementary school students. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument, and the data were analyzed using inferential statistics through a t-test. The hypothesis testing results showed that at a significance level of 0.5, the value of tcount = 10.433 and ttable = 1.687, indicating that tcount > ttable, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, there is a significant effect of the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model of the Group Investigation type assisted by card sort media on students' social attitudes. This study implies that the learning process can be more effective and efficient in instilling social and moral values through the Pancasila Education subject and is expected to help students develop social attitudes in line with educational goals.

Abstract

The limitation of teaching materials in character development based on Islamic values for inmates has resulted in religious learning that does not fully address the moral, spiritual, and emotional aspects essential for rehabilitation. This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of an Islamic Education based textbook to strengthen the Islamic character formation of inmates. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, using the Borg & Gall model as the development framework and the Dick & Carey model for systematic instructional design. The development process included preliminary study, planning, initial product development, limited trials, and product refinement. Validation instruments were applied to assess content, language, and visual design, while data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean scores) and qualitative data reduction from observations and interviews. Validation results showed high average scores from material experts (3.52), instructional design experts (3.56), and language experts (3.66), indicating the product’s feasibility. Limited trials yielded a practicality score of 3.46, suggesting that the textbook is user-friendly and relevant to the needs of rehabilitation. The developed material encompassed eight main themes repentance, self-control, self-reflection (muhasabah), and spiritual relationship proven to reinforce inmates’ Islamic character. The findings confirm that textbooks based on religious values can serve as both educational and reflective media in inmate development and are recommended for replication in similar contexts to strengthen character-based education practices.
