Abstract

Abstract— Agriculture remains the main sector of the Central Asia economy. The level of involvement in global production networks significantly affects the economic growth of Asian countries. The main objective of the article is to assess the opportunities for implementation of economic resources in the Asia agricultural market through supply chain optimization. After the systematization of secondary information, the study analyzes the agriculture value added, the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), and its interrelationships with economic development. This research uses statistics from open data sources as a foundation for descriptive analysis of Asian agricultural sector. The LPI, gross domestic product (GDP) per capita and the agriculture value added indicators are used to evaluate the results. The current research indicates that an effective supply chain is of great importance to agricultural sector development. However, the successful implementation of a supply chain into the agricultural sector continues to be problematic. Consequently, the issues of integration, infrastructure development, and information management require a solution.

Abstract

Model of Supply chain collaboration model that affects on competitive advantage via collaboration advantage and reduction of supply chain disruption: a case study in Automotive Parts Manufacturing Industry in Thailand. The aims of this study were to investigate the mediating effects of collaboration advantage and reduce supply chain disruption on the relationship between Supply chain collaboration and competitiveness. Data were obtained from 282 manager in production division of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in automotive parts manufacturing industry in Thailand. Structural equation model (SEM) technique was employed for data analysis. The findings indicated that supply chain collaboration had significant positive effect on collaboration advantage and competitive advantage. Furthermore, collaboration advantage and reduce supply chain disruption had significant positive impact on competitiveness. On the other hand, supply chain collaboration had significant negative effect on reduce supply chain disruption. This is quite a surprising result. The discovery of the relationship between supply chain collaboration and competitive advantage in this field benefits for not only academic sector but also public and private sectors. The study suggests that organizations enable to improve their collaboration advantage, including process efficiency, offering flexibility and innovation, by developing either supply chain collaboration practices. This, in turn, enhances organizational performance in high competitive advantage.

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to investigate the psychological effect of communication skills on customer retention (CR) with mediating role of customer satisfaction (CS) and customer loyalty in supply chain process of electronic companies. Number of studies studied the phenomena of CR; however, it is not studied with the help of psychological effect of communication skills. Moreover, the supply chain procedure of electronic companies is not discussed by the previous studies. Hence, this study is an attempt to fill this literature gap by examining the relationship between psychological effect of communication skills, CS, customer loyalty and CR to investigate supply chain process. This study focused on electronic companies of Indonesia. Therefore, a survey was carried out among these companies. Data were obtained from the customers of Indonesian electronic companies. 600 questionnaires were distributed among the customers. It is evident from the results that psychological effect of communication skills has important contribution to the CR to enhance supply chain process. Positive psychological effect of communication skills has the ability to increase CR, however, negative psychological effect of communication skills has the ability to decrease CR.

Abstract

Abstract— Forecasting is an under estimated field of research in supply chain management. To describe the methodology for building adaptively targeted forecast models based on the recursive least squares method and to show the possibility of using these models in economic analysis. Two cases were studied, which include targeting by a single given target value and by a target trajectory described by several consecutive values. It was shown that for the autoregressive model in the case of setting several target values, the multistep procedure of the recursive least squares method is not applicable. It was also possible to clarify the necessity of introducing changes into the adaptive regression analysis scheme for the case when the adaptively targeted model is built on the basis of the autoregressive one. Procedures for building adaptively targeted models for supply chain management of setting target conditions have been proposed. The adaptive regression analysis technique has been modified for the case of an adaptively targeted autoregressive model.

Abstract

Agriculture items, such as fruits and vegetables, have different supply and demand characteristics during a harvest period. Fruits supply in the first and end of harvest time are not reliable so sometimes supply are not available when needed. Fruits demand is different during harvest season. In the first harvest season, demand depends on price and at the end of harvest time, the demand depends on presentation of the items. In this study, inventory deteriorating items models for the first and the end of the harvest season are developed. Since closed-form solutions cannot be derived from the models, a Genetic Algorithm and a heuristic method are used to solve the problems. A numerical example and sensitivity analysis are conducted to illustrate the model and get insights. The sensitivity analysis shows that the supplier will increase his price when supply is not reliable at the early harvest period.  The results show that the unreliable supply is susceptible to the total cost at the end of the harvest period.

Abstract

Abstract— This paper presents the impact of applying the supply chain management (SCM) on the earning field to optimize productivity and decreasing cost which will have a direct impact on the income in the market. By developing out the measurement of future prospect, this research have used the future market value as a new indicator, where the accounting information have a significant effect on an investment decision. This moderated multiple regression has used the dividend policy, where played a critical role in signaling communication. Thus, the causal research have the samples, that ammounted 154 the listed companies in the industrial manufacturing sector for the period 2015 until 2017. The result indicated that supply chain system has specified the SCM with cost prediction and given a practical guideline for the investor to estimate the future return with high accuracy. This dividend policy has minimized the pattern of opportunistic behavior in providing a misleading bias in the performance reporting when the dividend has strengthened the SCM positively on the future market value. By developing a a mapping with the decision model, that combined with Bayes Theorem, empirical research provides a brief illustration, pointed out the high quality financial statements have the implication of the game theory. This research recommended that this dividend policy can be used as a mandatory obligation, and the regulators must issue public policies.  These findings offer new insights into the benefits and uses of power in supply chain relationships, in a previously unexplored context.

Abstract

Abstract. The paper aims to investigate the possible relationship between tourism supply chain and strategic partnership, read as a way to reduce and better manage the complexity in tourism industry. The previous studies on satisfaction in tourism have attracted the attention of practitioners and academicians, but its consequences on tourists revisit intention at traditional retail has not been widely carried out. This study aims to explain the factors that influence satisfaction as well as its consequences on revisit intention of tourists at the traditional souvenir market in Bali through the supply chain management (SCM) system. In addition, it also explained the role of sources of WOM (offline and online) as a moderator of the relationship between service quality and product quality towards tourist satisfaction. A survey was conducted from foreign tourists who visited and experienced to shop souvenirs at the traditional market in Bali. The data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS approach. This study revealed that SCM had a positive and significant effect on trust, satisfaction, and revisit intention. Product and service quality had a positive and significant effect on trust, satisfaction, and revisit intention. Trust had a positive and significant effect on satisfaction and revisit intention. Satisfaction had positive and significant effect on revisit intention. However, the source of WOM (offline and online) did not significantly moderate the effect of service quality and product quality towards satisfaction. This study proved product quality was the most influential factor impacting satisfaction. The ability to maintain consistency of service quality and product quality were very important factors in creating tourists trust, satisfaction and revisit intention. Finally, this model is expected to contribute in determining the SCM that influence tourist satisfaction at souvenir traditional market.

Abstract

Low service level is a serious problem for distribution companies in the pharmaceutical sector of Peru, mainly due to the uncertainties in the supply chain, coming from suppliers and customers. An important contributing factor is the inadequate management of inventories, since they do not know in advance the amount and right moment to place the order, thus generating a negative economic impact. Faced with this scenario, the proposal of this study is based on the development of an optimal supply policy for the sector considering two echelons (distributor and retailer), with the aim of increasing the service level and, therefore, the performance of the supply chain. The proposed method was solved analytically, and the solution has been illustrated with data obtained from an enterprise in the pharmaceutical sector using a sensitivity analysis; in turn, it was observed that as the service level increases, a greater total profit of the chain is obtained

Abstract

Abstract—Vietnam’s international integration has also changed rapidly with the trend of gradually entering the global supply chain (GSC) and global value chain (GVC) that help create a powerful dynamic for national economic development. However, the main activities of the manufacturing subsidiaries of reputable MNCs located in Vietnam often specialize in the final product assembly (final assembly schedule-FAS). Correlatively, some Vietnam’s domestic enterprises (VDEs) are engaged either in outsourcing, or become MNC suppliers, but their position in the SCs is unstable. In this article, synthesis methodology and framework of analysis were used to clarify the status of Vietnam’s suppliers and their limited power in buyer-supplier relationships and to make some recommendations that may be useful to related parties. The article also provides an overview of the unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Vietnamese businesses, and the appropriate responses to reshape and strengthen SCs for production in VietNam.
