Abstract

The key objective of the current study is to examine the role of social networking in determining the firm performance of manufacturing firms. Addition to this the study has studied the mediating role of   comparative advantage and sustainable supply chain in the relationship between the social networking and firm performance of manufacturing firms. The basic concern of this research is to examine the way in which performance is generated and achieve by firms. Several theoretical approaches have been used for analyzing the relation between existing resources and performance of a firm. The relation between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance has been explained using RBV theory by incorporating moderator and mediator variables. The results were presented for the model using PLS because of its flexibility, validity, and estimation of complex models. PLS-SEM method is also known as second general approach of SEM. In this study, the response rate of 77.6% is sufficient because 30% response rate was regarded sufficient by Dikko [1] in survey studies. These positive influences of SCM capability are supported by social capital theory. Relational and structural capitals are accumulated through collaboration, information sharing, mutual trust, communication, and commitment among the partners in the supply chain. These create improvement in the performance of suppliers and buyers.

Abstract

Abstract— This article discusses the access of enterprises to financial supply chain services in the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis of SME financing history, we deduce the difficulties for SMEs to access the bank financial services since their emergence in spite of their important role in the country's development process. Indeed, alternative sources of credits such as crowdfunding offer a new opportunity to SMEs. Crowdfunding removes the barriers of the process duration, the barriers related to application fees, and allow smart contracts between different investors and SMEs to be obtained very quickly. While spreading the risk of the project between investors, crowdfunding is risky for investors. Innovation in supply chain finance is about the ability to meet the greatest challenges of a business with an approach that is at once meticulous in its attention to detail, and boundless in its creativity.

Abstract

Previous studies examining the relationship of foreign investors and form performance produced inconclusive finding. These studies assumed that a linear relation exists between foreign shareholdings and firm performances. This study examines the relationship between foreign ownership and firm performance of trading and services listed firms in Malaysia.  The research utilizes the agency theory and uses ROA and Tobin’s Q as the firm performance indicator.  Foreign shareholdings had been identified as the predictor variables and firm size and leverage are the controlled variables.  It is found that there is a significant relationship between foreign ownership with firm performance.  Apart from that, it is also found that higher concentrated foreign ownership enhances firm performance. Malaysia is uniquely suitable for a study on foreign shareholdings as Malaysia is currently embarked on an ambitious journey to transform itself into a high income economy by 2020 through the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) by boosting both investments and private consumption

Abstract

the insurance company needs a good strategy for ensuring its existence and ability to survive in the insurance world competition with reducing the chance of loss risk. Thus, this paper is written to investigate the capital allocation for measuring risk via a mathematical approach namely Value-at-Risk (VaR) so that insurance companies can find out the magnitude of the worst risks that may occur. The amount of capital allocation analysed using Incremental and Activity-Based Methods. Also, this study uses the simulation data of random numbers obtained from the calculation of premium and claims for insurance programs. The results of the analysis showed that a positive value for the diversification process. It indicates that the insurance company has met its obligations. The total risk of all portfolio returns is IDR19,013,620,433.00. Using the capital allocation analysis, this study found that the Portfolio 1 as much as IDR4,938,935,765.00, Portfolio 2 is IDR4,787,472,037.00, and Portfolio 3 as big as IDR5,544,572,898.00.

Abstract

Abstract- Infrastructure development in Indonesia has a very significant influence on national economic growth and supply chain interconnectedness. The current regime truly pays more attention to infrastructure development by rapidly developing supply chain infrastructure. It became the main program in his regime. To realize and launch the supply chain infrastructure and development, it certainly requires land acquisition. As a form of government attention to supply chain infrastructure development, various policies are made by the government. However, the legal norms in the policy carry the risk of antinomy of norms for the land acquisition process in supply chain infrastructure development. The study aims to investigate the need of land acquisition concept for a national strategic project to improve people's welfare to increase the national economic growth by emphasizing on supply chain infrastructure and connectivity development programs. This study used qualitative research methods with a normative and casuistic approach. The results showed that the concept of accelerating land acquisition for national strategic projects can reach an equilibrium point, both for the welfare of the people as land owners and economic growth targeted as an objective of improving people's connectiveness, supply chain competitiveness and economic productivity.

Abstract

Situational analysis is an important study to understand the root causes and solutions that are relevant to a phenomenon. The research focused on the situational analysis of the shallot supply chain which encountered problems of production and downstream instability, which affected inflation and deflation. Without a clear situational analysis, institutional intervention becomes more difficult. The aim of the study was to analyze the situation of the shallot supply chain case study in Majalengka Regency, Indonesia. Situational analysis is carried out using a soft system dynamic methodology (SSDM) approach. The research produced a picture of the real world supply chain of shallots through a rich picture chart. Relevant systems that will be built are obtained through CATWOE analysis including; support system for fulfilling irrigation production infrastructure to ensure production stability; sustainable guidance system for independent seed production; special institutional systems which function as absorbent products, guarantor of product quality standards and regulator of price stability; a system that provides training to increase product added value in a sustainable manner as well as training for institutional farming development; and a system that provides GAP training to ensure the quality and quantity of products leading to a structured market. The relationship in the pictured system is illustrated through a causal loop diagram (CLD) chart. The next step that can be done from the results of the research is analyzing the behavior of the model and developing a scenario to improve policies that can support the development of innovation systems in the shallot supply chain. Keywords: Innovation system, Production and downstream, Supply chain, Soft system dynamics methodology
