Abstract

The value proposition has largely affected firms in the growth of the business. A firm needs to comprehend which needs are to be addressed in order to satisfy the market for the values created.  This paper is aimed at exploring the components of value that constitute the proposition. This profound question was investigated by the collection of interviews in the media achieved. The content analysis technique was employed to manipulate data. This research indicates that there are eight values that small food firms should consider in developing a value proposition. These eight values have a substantial impact on the decision making of the gatekeepers, which are standards, product quality, relationship, profitability, convenience, food and taste, communication, and experience. The value proposition acts as a gateway to the market. The interruption in the value proposition process perilously increases the risk of being a dead-ended product. The key managerial insight contributes by this paper is that the cascading of the value tiers reveals the novelty components of how the value proposition has been constructed.

Abstract

In the context of global supply chain value, it has greatly contributed to the trade volumes, government budget utility, and promotion for economic growth. Vietnam has been as one of the fastest-growing economies in the Asian Pacific and the world with a robust 7 percent since economic reforms in 1986 till present. At the same time, the real estate market has been an enabler of economic activity by improving housing demands and enhancing economic performance. In particular, the real estate market has also been opened up for foreigners since 2015, who can buy or invest in a property in the country. This paper focuses on exploring the dynamic relationship between real estate prices, government budget, and economic growth in the case of an emerging economy. Using quarterly data covering in the period of Q1/2008 to Q4/2018 with approximately 44 observations and applying the Autoregressive Distribution Lagged (ARDL) approach, results reveal that, in both the short-run and long-run, economic growth is highly affected by fluctuations of the present, and past economic growth. Besides, there exists a long-run relationship between government budget and economic growth. Regarding real estate prices and their impact on economic growth, this study could not find any findings in this relationship in both the short and long run. The recommendations indicate that the trends of global supply value chains can strongly support economic growth in the long run.

Abstract

Decision support system in development and Down-streaming of coconut-based agroindustry constitutes a meaningful approach for stakeholders in decision making process, in which it is semi-structural process in coconut agroindustry. This current work aimed to identify and analyze a method and approach in development of coconut agroindustry and its downstream, as well as to collaborate and criticize both stages. This work has reviewed 146 scientific articles from 5 main publication databases worldwide published between 2000 – 2018. The identification and classification techniques of this work included multicriteria decision making, financial feasibility study, qualitative and quantitative study, while the methods were generally grouped into decision support system, multicriteria decision making, multi objective decision making, smart system. Currently, methods in decision making system in the area of coconut agroindustry in both downstream and development stage mostly discussed in traditional perspective, without considering spatial intelligent decision support system which enables us to create decision faster. This work successfully built research framework as feed for further model development using smart decision making system covering development and downstream coconut agroindustry with integration of potential area mapping model, product development, and institutional aspect.

Abstract

The link between leadership styles and managerial efficiency is well established in literature. However, the role of work ethics, particularly as a mediator, is not well explored in sufficient depth. The objective of this research is therefore to study the effects of both gender, and whether work ethics play a mediating role, on the relationships connecting leadership style, organisational culture and managerial efficiency within the oil and gas industry in Yemen. The study utilised a cross-sectional survey design, sampling 297 middle managers from 13 oil and gas firms in Yemen. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire, and results were analysed statistically using the Partial-Least-Squares technique, utilising Smart-PLS 3. software. Empirical results indicated that leadership styles have both positive and direct effects on managerial efficiency. Furthermore, work ethics were found to significantly mediate the relationships between transactional and participative leadership styles, organisational culture, and managerial efficiency. However, the results also showed that work ethics does not significantly mediate between transformational leadership styles (TRL) and managerial efficiency. The study has implications for top management in the oil and gas industry, offering an opportunity to capitalise on enhancing managerial efficiency by encouraging good leadership styles and management practices that would positively enhance efficiency. Such practices should be made part of the organizational culture, with the goal of creating a harmonious working environment that enables and improves the performance of the firm as a whole.

Abstract

Abstract—Digitization has become the dominant theme in discussions about the future of supply chains. Wherever there is a problem, there is the promise of a technological solution, using some combination of artificial intelligence or machine learning, big data, automation, and the Internet of Things. The article actualizes the problems of the impact of digitalization of supply chain on the formation and transformation of human capital and, above all, the formation of new competencies, knowledge and skills. The main components of human capital in the digital supply chain have been clarified and disclosed - knowledge and skills that bring income to its carriers and value added; features of formal and informal educational process; the necessity of measures to minimize the class of precariat, which does not have a modern level of development of human capital, are proved; The main directions of a qualitative improvement of human capital that are adequate to the challenges of the modern digital supply chain and globalization are identified. Digital supply chain management can transform a company’s ability to anticipate and serve customer needs, starting with a focus on world-class demand sensing; controlling product flows; and optimizing customer deliveries.
