Abstract

Abstract- This research has assessed the empirical relationship among the supply chain management and business repute in the service sector of Indonesia. To the best of our research, this research is a first in nature which is exploring the relationship between supply chain management and business repute in Indonesian economy. The overall study is quantitative in nature which has collected the data through a survey questionnaire from a sample of 183 respondents in service firms. Descriptive results are showing the moderate trends in the mean score with the relative deviation in the average responses too. Additionally, demographic factors like age, working experience, education, marital status, and working status are also presented through relative frequencies and percentage score. For examining the impact of various factors of supply chain management on business repute, regression analyses have been performed where F-test is showing the fitness of the model. It is found that there is a significant and positive impact of first items of autonomy, first item of environmental mastery, first item of personal relationship, and first and third items of self-acceptance. Whereas the rest of the items are indicating no significant impact on mean business repute in Indonesian service industry. However, study is limited in terms of sample size, missing the impact of behavioral intention on business repute, and implication of both measurement and structural equation modelling approaches. Future studies are recommended to consider these limitations as their fundamental contribution in the literature work.

Abstract

Abstract- This globalization era indicate that the world community, in general, has entered the stage of the age of high mass-consumption or fifth level. So, in this condition there is a necessity for application and practice of supply chain strategies for regional companies, where there was a shift in the dominant sectors of the goods and services in line with the increase in people's income. Facing the condition of the society, it is necessary to state administration and the supply chain role in providing services is a tremendously effective, efficient and professional manner. Governments need to develop service standards for each institution in the area assigned to provide services to the community. Deregulation and Debureaucratization absolutely must continue to be done by the supply chain and local rules should be evaluated regularly to continue to satisfy the supply chain service community.

Abstract

Recently, blockchain technology is getting its recognition in the supply chain. After the existence of bitcoin, which blockchain acts as its underlying technology, people started to recognise the advantages of the blockchain. Blockchain has been expected to eliminate unnecessary cost and at the same time, help in improving productivity by increasing the efficiency and effectiveness in daily operation. In the era of Industrial 4.0, the collaboration of blockchain technology with other autonomous technology is necessary to achieve customer satisfaction. However, based on the current practices, blockchain is yet to be adopted by all the parties in the supply chain. Therefore, this paper aims to identify the factors which are affecting the adoption of blockchain technology in the supply chain. Factors identified are perceived benefits, top management support and supply chain partner readiness. The primary data has been collected through a structured questionnaire survey. The simple random sampling method has been used to target and collect data from suitable respondents. In conclusion, the outcome of this study is expected to identify the factors affecting the adoption of the blockchain as well as to guide the organisation to act according to increase the level of adoption.

Abstract

Abstract—This article presents preliminary propositions concerning implications for the development of what we term 'circular supply chains', defined here as the embodiment of circular economy principles within supply chain management. The economic system in the process of functioning generates positive and negative externalities. Currently, there are exacerbating problems associated with the need to minimize negative externalities, which pose global risks to the global economic system. The most acute risks are associated with ensuring the sustainability of financial systems, and also with environmental pollution, climate change, outbreaks of new types of deadly diseases. It seems promising to introduce elements of a circular economy, based on the use of non-waste technologies that minimize negative externalities. In addition, the solution to the problem of minimizing negative externalities within the framework of the current model of the economic system is associated with the creation of a mechanism for recording externalities and a mechanism for stimulating economic entities to minimize the negative external effects produced by their activities and maximize positive external effects. Tokenization on the supply chain platform creates the possibility of forming this mechanism. The system of tokenizing the externalies includes: (a) the formulation of the target behaviour of economic agents, (b) the creation of a supply chain platform that provides token issuance, (c) the determination of the exchange rate of tokens by economic agents for economic incentives (tax breaks, grants, investments, etc.), (d) an assessment of the effectiveness of economic agents in reducing negative externalities and increasing positive externalities.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of information quality and service quality on the organizational impact of implementing information systems at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong. PT Teluk Lamong terminal is the first terminal port in Indonesia that uses a semi-automated concept, so research on this information system is important to do. This study uses a test tool in the form of Smart PLS to see the results of the outer model and the inner model, which in turn will produce relationships between variables. Supply chain management significantly and positively mediates between quality system, information quality, service quality, and organizational impact. Data is collected by distributing questionnaires to all company employees. Of the total 260 employees, only 101 employees of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong participated in filling out the questionnaire given. The participants represented a total of 9 departments in the company. The results found in this research are that there is a significant relationship between the information quality and service quality variables on organizational impact. This research will be used as an evaluation material for the management of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong to update on the implementation of the company's information system.

Abstract

Abstract - Modern business processes are impossible without a logistics system. Logistics costs constitute the lion’s share in the total product cost. The purpose of our research is to study the dependence of decision-making on the level of logistics costs. In order to achieve the goal set, questionnaire, mathematical modeling and analysis methods were used in the study. The main problems of cost management in supply chains were highlighted. In the course of our research, we concluded that a universal solution to the problem can be developed for a limited segment of enterprises, since there is no identical solution to increasing cost efficiency for different types of enterprises. According to the results of the questionnaire, managers’ decisions on increasing efficiency are dependent on their subjective desires rather than dictated by the economic efficiency. Sixty-seven per cent of the respondents are ready to reject a profitable project due to risks. The questionnaire also showed that only 4% of the managers are ready to quit an already implemented project if it is ineffective. This begs the question: do all projects prove to be really effective after their implementation? A two-factor mathematical model with a dummy variable showed the dependence of increased logistics costs on the period in which they were implemented. The mathematical model obtained during the study will be useful for predicting and budgeting the level of logistics costs. It can also encourage independent enterprises to build advanced mathematical models.
