Abstract

The current study is intended to examine the relationship between financial management and supply chain management. For this purpose, the links between liquidity management financing decisions, inventory management and supply chain management are explored. In addition, that, it is also explored that the inventory management mediates the relationship between liquidity management and supply chain management. The resource-based theory, free cash flow theory, and agency theory are used as base theories to develop the conceptual model. The structural equation modeling using AMOS is used to achieve the research objectives of the current study. The data is collected from the operation and finance managers of manufacturing firm operating in Indonesia. Prior to establishing direct and indirect links between variables, we have accessed the measurement of model. After establishment of model fit, the structural model is used to explain the hypothesized relationships. The direct relationship between liquidity management and supply chain management, financing decision, between inventory management, supply chain management, and between liquidity management and inventory management are significant and positive. Meanwhile, the inventory management appears as a strong mediator in the relationship between liquidity management and supply chain management. The results of the study have shown consistency with the hypothesized results. The findings of the study will be helpful for operation managers, researchers, and policy makers in understanding the relationship between financial management and supply chain management.

Abstract

The current study empirically investigates the factors of sustainable supply chain performance in tourism industry of Thailand. Globally, competition has increased due to involvement of enhanced quality and sustainable practices in business operations including effective supply chain management as it has become one of the prime concerns of firms as it plays vital role in achievement of goals and competitive advantages. The study investigate the relationship between customer awareness as it is one of the crucial factor which needs to be addressed by firms primarily in order to operate in turbulent and highly competitive environment. The customer awareness positively influence SSCM and sustainability capability, similarly competitiveness is investigated with sustainability capability and SSCM, moreover, mediation role was examined between customer awareness, competitiveness and SSCM by sustainability capability. The current study is conducted on tourism industry of Thailand, to determine the effect and influence of customer awareness and competitiveness on sustainability capability and SSCM. The study is unique in determining the mediating role of sustainability capability between independent variable and dependent variable. The analysis of the study suggest that customer awareness influence SSCM, similarly competitiveness also effect SSCM and sustainability capability, moreover mediating effect was also reported and demonstrated in analysis phase of the study by shrinking the effect of independent variables on dependent variables. The study is relevant and investigated the factors related to the development of SSCM and provides guidance to firms to achieve sustainable and continuous improvements in business operations and supply chain of involved stakeholders of Thai tourism industry.

Abstract

In today’s globally competitive world the phenomenon of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) has emerged and gained attention for environmental concerns around the globe. The research study aims to examine the relationship between GSCM and environment related outcomes among Indonesian manufacturing SMEs. Literature review depicted that there are various important and crucial factors today, important in determining the environmental performance. The current study entails the green HRM practices as moderating effect between dependent and independent constructs of the study. The data was collected by questionnaire from SMEs of Indonesia and examined the collected responses by using SMART-PLS. Interestingly; findings have been shared by the study that green supply chain practices influence the environmental performance. The study found that moderating role of Green HRM was not observed between green purchasing and environmental performance but green HR practices moderate the relationship between green logistics and environmental performance.

Abstract

Supply chain management has taken attention of research scholars and emerging concept of greening supply chain activities in response to environmental concerns and social sustainable performance. The study aims to determine the relationship between supply chain integration and sustainable performance of automotive industry of Thailand. The study aims to determine the relationship between supplier integration, customer integration, and technological integration to determine sustainable social performance. The study also entails the moderating role of organizational structure between supplier, customer and technological integration and dependent variable sustainable social performance. The data was collected from automotive manufacturing industry of Thailand and analyzed by using SMART-PLS by measurement model and structural equation modeling techniques. The findings of the study demonstrated that all direct relations between independent and dependent variables were accepted, moderating role of organization structure was also observed, but the results found to be insignificant between customer integration and social sustainable performance at automotive manufacturing industry of Thailand.

Abstract

This study empirically investigates the relation between modularity and the impact it has on competitive performance of firms. It focuses on both the dimensions of modularity including process and product modularity. With the vast development of supply chain integration in firms, this study focuses on the quality management perspective of firms by assimilating supply chain integration system with it. Supply chain quality integration system has attained a significant attention over the world that allow firms to strategically collaborate its external and internal supply chain processes in order to obtain high level quality and competitive performance. Using survey method, this study construct a questionnaire to collect data from the manufacturing firms of Thailand. The data collected from those firms in the form of 304 respondents is analyzed by using statistical tools including SPSS and AMOS by running various tests such as descriptive statistics, reliability tests, CFA and SEM to identify the theoretical relationships between variables. The results of this study clearly depicts that both process and product modularity signifies a positive association with competitive performance of firms. It also signifies the mediation impact of supply chain quality integration between modularity and performance. It means that integrated supply chain practices enhance the development of better quality and innovative products. It also help firms in improving their set up processes by reducing costs and delivery timings to the end users that effectively influence competitive strategies.

Abstract

Current study examines the effect of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) skills on the environmental performance of manufacturing companies in Thailand. This study also evaluate the mediating role of innovation performance among the relationship of GSCM skills and environmental performance. The sample was limited to the firms that had certification of ISO 14001 EMS in Thailand. Data were collected from the companies mentioned above through a questionnaire. The technique that is used to investigate the association between the understudy variables is PLS-SEM. Multiple regression has been used to test the direct relationship among the variables used in the study while multiple regression with the bootstrapping procedure is used to check the mediating role of innovation performance on the association of GSCM skills and environmental performance. The results revealed a positive association between GSCM skills and environmental performance. In addition, results also elaborated that innovation performance mediates the association between GSCM skills and firm’s environmental performance.
