Abstract

Pemanfaatan potongan-potongan kayu dan bambu cepat tumbuh dapat mengurangi tekanan terhadap hutan alam dan mendukung keberlanjutan bahan baku. Penggunaan potongan kayu dan bambu bisa dijadikan perpaduan yang bisa dikembangkan untuk memproduksi papan lamniasi. Jenis kayu yang digunakan dan dipadukan dengan bambu untuk memproduksi papan laminasi yaitu kayu rajumas dan kayu sengon. Kayu rajumas dan kayu sengon merupakan dua jenis kayu dengan berat jenis dan kekuatan yang rendah. Kayu dengan sifat tersebut sangat potensial untuk dijadikan produk papan karena ini akan memungkinkan perekat untuk meresap dengan baik ke permukaan kayu sehingga membentuk ikatan yang kuat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis sifat fisika dan mekanika dari papan laminasi yang terbuat dari perpaduan kayu dan bambu (kayu sengon-bambu petung dan kayu rajumas-bambu petung). Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan non faktorial dengan dua perlakuan kombinasi papan laminasi dan tiga kali ulangan. Berdasarkan standar JAS 234-2007 maka nilai pengujian sifat fisika J2 dan J1 telah memenuhi standar kecuali pada pengujian penyusutan tebal. Pengujian sifat mekanika MoE belum memenuhi standar JAS 234-2007 dan pengujian MoR hanya J2 yang memenuhi standar sementara J1 belum memenuhi standar. Nilai sifat fisika dan mekanika papan laminasi kombinasi kayu rajumas bambu petung (J2) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kombinsi kayu sengon bambu petung (J1) kecuali pada pengujian pengembangan tebal. Kombinasi papan laminasi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap Sifat fisika dan mekanika kecuali pada pengujian MoE. Berdasarkan kelas kuat kayu maka papan laminasi kombinasi kayu rajumas bambu petung dan papan laminasi kombinasi kayu sengon bambu petung masuk dalam masuk dalam kelas kuat III yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan kontruksi dalam ruangan (interior).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1). Mengestimasi Pendapatan Rumah Tangga Karyawan Perusahaan PT Uni Primacom. 2). Mengetahui Besaran Tingkat Kesejahteraan Rumah Tangga Karyawan PT Uni Primacom. Penelitian lapangan dilaksanakan di Perusahaan Perkebunan PT Uni Primacom pada bulan Februari hingga April 2022. Penentuan jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan metode Slovin sebagai alat ukut untuk menghitung ukuran sampel sehingga diperoleh jumlah responden sebesar 40 responden. Dalam rata-ratanya, setiap karyawan panen setiap bulannya bisa mendapatkan pendapatan hingga mencapai lebih dari 5,8 juta yang sudah termasuk tunjangan jaminan kesehatan serta jaminan sosial dan pendidikan anak. Dan jika dijumlahkan dengan pendapatan non Gaji tetap maka dalam satu keluarga bisa mendapatkan lebih dari 6,8 juta tergantung dari pekerjaan tambahan di keluarga. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Tingkat Kesejahteraan rumah tangga karyawan panen di Perusahaan kelapa sawit PT Uni Primacom dari 40 responden yaitu sebanyak 40 orang atau seluruh karyawan panen masuk ke dalam kategori sejahtera dengan persentase 100%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesejahteraan rumah tangga karyawan pemanen sangat tinggi. Dalam hasil tingkat berdasarkan Sajogyo didapati 3 responden masuk kategori Cukup dan 37 responden dalam kategori Hidup Layak.

Abstract

Central Kalimantan has many types of wood such as Rengas (gluta sp), Bangkirai (shorea laevifolia endert), and Agathis (agathis spp). The third type of woods are found in the company of furniture as a result of waste in powder form so that it can be utilized for the manufacture of charcoal briquettes. The purpose of the research is to find out the characteristics of charcoal briquettes from wood waste Rengas, Bangkirai, and Agathis which refers to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 01-6235-2000). The treatment of this research done on Bangkirai wood, Rengas, and Agathis which have different density with 5 replications so that the samples obtained 15 pieces. Data analysis was conducted to determine the effect of the treatment on the character of the studied and if it has significant effect then it is analyzed test difference average middle value that is specified by Coefficient Value of Diversity. Charcoal briquettes testing generally meets Indonesian National Standard (01-6235-2000) on charcoal briquettes except for volatile substances. The research data finding from these three types of wood which examined showed that the type of Bangkirai wood powder has the best charcoal briquette quality because of lower water content is at 5.05%, the higher density is 0.72 g/cm3, the ash content is 1.9% , carbon bound is 63.30%, volatile substance content is 29.75%, press firmness is 41.67kg/cm2, and calorific value is 6958.94 kal/g

Abstract

Lahung is a genus of endemic Durio in Kalimantan which currently has vulnerable status and is rare. Therefore, ex-situ conservation of this plant has begun using tissue culture techniques. Several things that need to be considered in in vitro propagation are the right type of explant, planting mediun and PGR. Stem nodes are generally chosen as explant because their availability does not depend on the season and has a fast response in bud induction. WPM medium is e medium intended for woody plants such as durian lahung. BAP is a PGR from the cytokinin group which is quite avtive and the most widely used. This research aimed to determine the best response of the durian lahung stem node culture to the BAP concentration on WPM medium. This research was designed using a rancomized block design (RBD) with one factor in the form of BAP concentration consisting of six levels, i.e. 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 ppm. Each experimental unit was repeated four times and consisted of ten planting bottles for e total of 240 planting bottles. The variables observed were the percentage of live explant aged 1-8 WPP, callus growth time, percentage of explant forming callus aged 1-8 WAP, callus and texture callus, shoot growth time and number of shoots. The results showed that callus appeared in response of the durian lahung stem node to the BAP concentration treatments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari korelasi antara peubah pertumbuhan yaitu tinggi tanaman, nisbah pucuk akar, diameter batang terhadap hasil produksi cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens) di tanah gambut sebagai komponen penentu produksi cabai berdasarkan nilai korelasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan di Kebun Percobaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya. Penelitian dilakukan di polibag, dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson, korelasi parsial dan korelasi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji korelasi Pearson bahwa tinggi tanaman, dan diameter batang memiliki hubungan positif dan bernilai sedang dengan berat buah cabai, sedangkan nisbah pucuk akar memiliki hubungan negative terhadap berat buah cabai. Hasil analisis korelasi parsial menunjukkan bahwa variabel tinggi tanaman dengan nisbah pucuk akar berkorelasi positif dan berkriteria cukup. Hubungan variabel nisbah pucuk akar dengan diameter batang berkorelasi positif dan termasuk kriteria korelasi kuat terhadap berat buah. Hasil uji korelasi berganda menunjukkan bahwa tinggi tanaman, nisbah pucuk akar, diameter batang berpengaruh negative terhadap berat buah cabai.

Abstract

Edamame soybeans are soybeans that are harvested young so they are known as green soybeans. The high nutritional content and delicious taste make edamame soybeans popular with the public, so they have the potential to be developed. One effort to increase edamame production is through expanding the planting area (Extensification). One type of soil that has the potential for expanding edamame soybean plants is peat soil. This research aims to examine the effect of dolomite and biofertilizer on the growth and yield of edamame on peat soil. The experiment was carried out using a two-factor factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications. The first factor, namely dolomite (0, 5, 10, 15 t ha-1) and the second factor, namely biofertilizer (0, 5, 10, 15 g kg-1 seed). The research results showed that the interaction between dolomite and biofertilizer and the single factor of biofertilizer had no significant effect on the growth and yield of edamame soybeans. Theresults showed that the interaction between dolomite and biofertilizer and the single factor of biofertilizer had no significant effect on the growth and yield of edamame soybeans. The application of dolomite can increase leaf area, plant dry weight, number of pods, and fresh pod weight plant-1 of edamame soybean plants on peat soil. Abstract

The shrinkage of wood and the dimensions of wood fibers in the radial positions of stem are two important factors in the use of wood. An understanding of the dimension of wood fiber and the shrunkage of the wood in the radial direction can guide the optimum use of timber. The purpose of this study is to determine the shrinkage and changes in the dimensions of the timber (Combretocarpus rotundatus Dans) in the radial direction. The method used refers to the British and IAWA standards. The parameters measured are the radial and tangential shrinkage of wood as well as the dimensions of the fiber. The t test is used to test statistically. The results obtained showed that the position in the radial direction of the stem had a significant influence on the tangential shrinkage of fresh-oven dry and the fiber dimensions of Tumeh wood. The tangential shrinkage of the near pith is lower than that near the bark. The nearest pith part has a shorter fiber length; a thicker fiber wall is thinner than the near bark but still in the same quality class (Grade III) Keywords: tumeh, combretocarpus rotundatus, shrinkage, fiber dimension, radial positions.

Abstract

Most farmers typically plant rice only once a year, leading to weed-infested fields. Using aquatic weeds as Pupuk Organik Padat (POP) is seen as a viable approach to weed control. This study aims to explore the interaction and effects of different types and doses of aquatic weeds as POP and identify the most effective combination. The research was conducted in Banua Budi Village, Barabai District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, from June to October 2023, utilizing a Randomized Complete Block Design (RAK) with 2 factors, grouped based on tuber diameter. The types of POP (J) include three levels: j1: POP water mimosa, j2: POP lotus, j3: POP banto grass. The POP dosage factor consists of two levels: d1: 20 ton.ha-1 equivalent to 2 kg/plot, d2: 30 ton.ha-1 equivalent to 3 kg/plot. There were six combinations with four replications, resulting in 24 experimental units. Each experimental unit comprised 16 plants, and four sample plants were observed, making a total of 96 sample plants. The findings indicate that the interaction and individual treatment types had no significant impact on the observed variables. However, when considering the single treatment of water weed with POP dosage, there was a notable effect. The optimal dosage was found to be d2: 30 ton.ha-1 or equivalent to 3 kg/plot. Abstract

Embung Cerme is a tourist attraction in Sanggang Village, Bulu District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java. In 2012, the Cerme Embung was built as a facility to store rainwater and irrigate plants. This reservoir was abandoned in 2013 due to a lack of structured management and limited development funds. Until 2018, Embung Cerme was revived through a revitalization process and became a new tourist attraction. Embung Cerme's revitalization mechanism consists of physical intervention, social intervention, economic intervention and environmental intervention. The impact of revitalization influences society from economic, socio-cultural and ecological aspects. The aim of the study was to determine the impact of the revitalization that took place in Embung Cerme through the cultivation of fruit plants. This research uses a qualitative analysis method with a descriptive approach with data sources of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. As a result, the revitalization of Embung Cerme has had positive and negative consequences in every aspect. The positive impact is felt more by the people of Sanggang Village. This shows that the revitalization of Embung Cerme through the cultivation of fruit plants has been successful and can be sustainable.
