Abstract

Educational inequality in the 3T (United, Disadvantaged, and Transmigration) regions, particularly in literacy and numeracy, remains a serious challenge in Indonesian education. The government launched the Kampus Mengajar Program, which involves university students assisting needy schools. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Kampus Mengajar Program in improving student literacy and numeracy and identify challenges encountered during its implementation. This study used a qualitative approach with a literature review method, analyzing 15 scientific articles from the Google Scholar database spanning 2020–2025. Data were collected through a systematic search using relevant keywords and then analyzed descriptively using a synthesis technique by comparing, grouping, and summarizing results from various sources. The results show that the Kampus Mengajar Program effectively improves students' literacy and numeracy skills through a technology-based learning approach, interactive methods, and strengthening a culture of literacy in schools. In addition, this program benefits students by developing teaching skills and adapting them to diverse educational environments. However, the implementation of this program faces obstacles such as limited infrastructure, access to technology, and suboptimal involvement of parents and teachers. The short duration of the program also limits its impact. Therefore, government, schools, and community support are needed to optimize its effectiveness. With proper evaluation and sustainable policies, the Kampus Mengajar Program has the potential to become an effective intervention model for improving the quality of education, particularly in strengthening literacy and numeracy as its primary foundation.

Abstract

Student discipline problems are a common challenge often faced by Guidance and Counselling (G&C) teachers in schools. Differences in educational background raise questions about the effectiveness and approaches used by BK teachers, who are graduates of BK Education and non-BK institutions, in dealing with student discipline problems. Using a mixed-method approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods, this study collected data through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations of 42 students and BK teachers. The results showed significant differences in the approaches used by BK teachers who were graduates of BK Education and those who were not, particularly in dealing with student discipline problems. BK teachers who were graduates of BK Education tended to be more systematic, empathetic, and grounded in counselling theory. In contrast, non-BK teachers employed more authoritative approaches and drew on personal experiences. In conclusion, there were significant differences in the approaches used by BK teachers who were graduates of BK Education and non-BK in dealing with student discipline problems, where BK graduates tended to apply more professional strategies based on guidance theory. The implication of this study is the need to improve the competence of non-BK BK teachers through more in-depth training and certification in the field of guidance and counselling. In addition, schools need to develop policies that encourage synergy between educational approaches and disciplinary approaches, creating a more conducive school environment for the development of student character.

Abstract

Understanding physics concepts, especially projectile motion, among university students is still unsatisfactory. The limited use of real laboratories necessitates the need for effective learning alternatives to improve students' mastery of physics concepts. This study aims to analyze students' conceptual understanding of projectile motion using computer simulations in the form of PhET simulations. The data analysis method used is data collected using multiple-choice questions. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively by calculating test scores from students who used computer simulations. Then, scores were compared between students who used computer simulations to see improvements in concept mastery. Descriptive analysis was used to describe the level of mastery of the concept of projectile motion among students. The results showed that students who were taught with computer simulations showed significantly better scores. These findings recommend that computer simulations be used as an alternative teaching tool to help students overcome cognitive obstacles and develop their functional understanding of physics. This study implies that this research can help overcome students' difficulties in understanding complex concepts such as the law of conservation of mechanical energy.
