Abstract

This type of research Quasi experimental Research. The research subject were class VII-1 which consisted of 25 people. There are 13 women and 12 men. The object taken in this research is Blended Learning to understanding the set. The instrument used is in the form of a test. The test used is a multiple choice test that has been tested with a pre-test reliability of 0,5 with a sufficient level of reliability and posttest reliability of 0,7 with sufficient level of reliability. And both test have valid questions. From the test results on students understanding of the mathematical set the average value of the pre-test questions = 73, median value = 80, the mode value = 70 and the standard deviation = 80. The average value of post-test questions = 83,76 median value = 85,3 mode value = 80 and standard deviation = 90. From the results of statistical analysis using the t-test obtained by comparing thitung = 2,75 to the table of significance level ???? = 5% with a ttabel value of = 1,71. Obtained thitung > ttabel = 2,75 > 1,71. Thus the researcher councludes that there is an effect of Blended Learning on group understanding in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan in the 2021/2022 academic year

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena pemecahan masalah merupakan bagian dari kurikulum matematika yang sangat penting. Hal ini dikarenakan siswa akan memperoleh pengalaman dan pengetahuan serta keterampilan yang dimiliki untuk menyelesaikan soal yang tidak rutin. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara penulis dengan guru matematika di SMP Negeri 1 Sirandorung didapatkan hasil bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di sekolah tersebut masih rendah. Oleh karena itu siswa perlu mendapatkan bantuan dalam belajar terutama ketika mereka mengalami kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal yang berkaitan tentang pemecahan masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sirandorung. Penelitian ini yang dilakukan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian Deskriptif Kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian siswa SMP kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Sirandorung. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara. Menurut hasil peneliti dan pembahasan, diketahui bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sirandorung tersebut tergolong rendah. Dilihat dari hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diperoleh dari 16 informan dengan jumlah skor 746 rata-rata 46,62% sebanyak 12,5% berada pada kategori sangat rendah sebanyak 2 orang, 81,25% berada pada kriteria rendah sebanyak 13 orang, dan 6,25% berada pada kriteria sedang sebanyak 1 orang.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze the results of the interpretation of students' mathematical answers in mathematics learning in SMA Negeri 1 Andam Dewi. The approach of the research is descriptive qualitative. Subject of the research consist of 13 students. Observation, test, and interview were used in collecting the data and triangulation technique was used in analysis technique. The research of the research shows the average of the interpretation of students' mathematical answers in mathematics learning is 75.59 ( medium category). It’s concluded the interpretation of students' mathematical answers in mathematics learning in SMA Negeri 1 Andam Dewi include students able to find information or problems, compare the relevance of information or problems, analyze, check back and draw conclusions.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze students’ mathematic learning emotional intelligence level based on gender in covid period. The approach of the research uses descriptive quantitative with 10 students as the respondents. Instrument of the research uses questionnaire (Linkert Scale) and interview. The result of the research shows male and female students who have high emotional intelligence able to understand the condition of self and others, able to control feeling, and able to interact to the friends and teachers. Male students who have medium emotional intelligence able to control his emotion but they are not able for the others, able interact to their friends but they are not able to the teachers. Female students who have medium emotional intelligence able to to control herself and the others, they able to interact to the teacher but they are not able to their friends. Male students who have low emotional intelligence able to control his self but they are not able to interact to the teachers and friends to get the help. Female students who have low emotional intelligence are not able to control herself and the others and they are not able to interact to the teachers and friends to get help.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to find out the real picture of 1 The Effectiveness of the Implementation of Team Assisted Individualization Type Cooperative Learning on Mathematical Problem Solving Ability of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Natal Students. The research method is an experimental method through pre-test and post-test which provides a significant picture of whether there is effectiveness of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type cooperative learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The research population was all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Batang Natal. The research sample was class X IIS-2 which opened 21 people. The instruments are lesson plans, observation sheets and tests. Then descriptive data analysis is about the state of the second variable, namely the launch of the TAI learning model (variable X) to improve students' problem solving skills (variable Y) in class X SMA Negeri I Batang Natal. Then to find out whether there is an influence between the second variable, the t-test formula is used. From the results of data analysis, it is known that the average value before applying the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model, the average value is 58 categories "Enough" and an overview of students' mathematical problem solving abilities before applying the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model, the average value is 86 categories. "Very Good" the effectiveness of the implementation of the Team Assisted Individualization model on students' problem-solving abilities is accepted with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05. Abstract

Abstract This research was motivated by the presence of COVID-19 at the beginning of 2020 which had a tremendous impact on almost all fields, one of which was in the field of education. Based on this situation, the researcher is interested in describing the Analysis of the Relationship between Students' Mathematical Dispositions on Mathematical Connection Ability During the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMK N 1 Sosorgadong. The research method used in this study is descriptive research and the subjects in this study were class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Sososrgadong, questionnaires and mathematical connection test sheets were used to collect data. The results of the test data about students' mathematical connection abilities in class X-TKJ II of SMK Negeri 1 Sosorgadong included the "good" category according to table 4.3, the data analysis was carried out with an average value of 79.04. The results of the questionnaire statement response data given to students about the mathematical disposition of students in class X-TKJ II SMK Negeri 1 Sosorgadong included the "good" category according to table 4.1 contained in Chapter IV, the data analysis was carried out with an average value of 79.48. Based on the calculations carried out to test the established hypothesis, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted based on the t-test with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05 so Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that the average value of the students who tested the validating the test questions first to determine the quality of the questions was significant. So that there is a significant relationship between students' mathematical dispositions to students' mathematical connection abilities.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze students' social interactions and their relation to learning outcomes of mathematics at SMK N 1 Sosorgadong. This research approach is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 22 students. Observations, interviews and documentation were used in data collection and triangulation techniques were used in technical analysis. The results showed that the average social interaction on students' mathematics learning outcomes was 67.5 in the sufficient category. It was concluded that the social interactions of students on mathematics learning outcomes at SMK N 1 Sosorgadong included students being able to communicate and socialize effectively with fellow students, education staff, educators, parents and the surrounding community.

Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to produce mathematical learning tools on comparative material through a discovery learning model in class VII students of MTs Muhammadiyah Wuring that are valid, practical, and effective. The development model employed in this study referred to 4D development model, which consisted of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The resulted product is in the form of RPP and LKPD with a discovery learning model on comparative material that can train students ability to solve problems and can make students easily understand mathematical concepts and improve their learning outcomes. The learning tools that had been developed was then validated by tho experts. After validated, the learning device was tested at 22 students of class VII MTs Muhammadiyah Wuring. The result of the study show that the learning tools in the form of RPP and LKPD of the discovery learning model that have been developed have been validated and show that the averages are 3,7 and 3,5 respectively, with very valid criteria. The learning tools based on discovery learning is stated as practical and effective, because the results of the practically test reveal: (1) The percentage of feasibility of the learning tools RPP and LKPD is 93,62% and 88,89% with a very decent category, and (2) The teacher’s ability in managing the discovery learning model of mathematics learning is very good with an average of 3,56. This learning tools also meets the criteria of effectiveness, with: (1) The student learning outcomes obtained an average score of 76,67 with completeness percentage is 81,8%, (2) The student activity shows a very good category with an average of 3,59, (3) the result of observations on the ability of teachers to manage mathematics learning using the discovery learning model show an average of 3,56 with a very good category, (4) The students gave a positive response to the learning tools with the discovery learning model with a percentage of 86%. Therefore, the results of the study shows that the product of learning tools developed is categorized as valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to know whether RME approach is effective in increasing the learning creativity at the eighth grade students of Barus Adventist Private Junior High School students. The research used an experimental method bu applying one group pretest posttest design. The sample of this study is 35 students which were taken by using the total sampling technique. The data collection techniques used observation and tests. The data collected are analyzed in two stages, namely descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The research results, it is known that the description of using RME approach is on average 3.00 (good category). Furthermore, the description of student learning creativity before learning RME obtained an average value of 66.21 (enough category) and after learning RME obtained an average of 76.82 (good category). Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be known that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.005. It means that RME approach is effective in increasing the learning creativity of the students of the Barus Adventist Private Junior High School with classical completeness data known to be 65.71% (effective category) and N-Gain obtained 0.46 (medium category).

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop teaching materials for flat shapes using a realistic mathematics education approach to teach students' mathematical problem solving skills and to determine the quality of teaching materials in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research is a development research with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects in this study were 28 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang Sidempuan. The research instrument used to measure the quality of teaching materials was in the form of expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires and post-test results of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The expert validation questionnaire was used to measure the validity of the teaching materials while the student response questionnaire was used to measure the practicality of the teaching materials and the post-test results of students' mathematical solving abilities were used to measure the effectiveness of the class VIII students' teaching materials at SMP Negeri 7 Padang Sidempuan. The results of this study indicate that the quality of teaching materials is seen from the validation assessment of material experts with an average score of 75.5%, for the assessment of media experts with an average score of 78.33%, and for the assessment of linguists with an average score amounted to 90.67% with each score included in the eligible criteria. The overall results of the expert's assessment show that the teaching materials developed have "good" (decent) criteria based on the assessment by 6 experts with a percentage score of 81.5% in the "very valid" criteria. And the results of the questionnaire responses of students to teaching materials seen from the aspect of practicality with a percentage score of 92.78% in the "very practical" criteria and the post-test results of students' mathematical solving abilities seen from the aspect of effectiveness with an average score of 74.46 in the category " effective. So it can be concluded that the overall results of the study indicate that the teaching materials of flat shapes with a realistic mathematical approach to teach students' mathematical problem solving skills are valid, practical, effective and suitable to be used as learning tools.
