Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model through Macromedia Flash 8 on the mathematical communication skills of students in SMA Negeri 1 Tambangan. This research is an experimental study with a one group pretest post test design. The population of the study involved all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Tambangan with a total of 55 students. The research sample was obtained using a cluster sampling technique, namely class X MIA with 27 students. The research instrument was a test of mathematical communication skills and an observation sheet for learning activities. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found that (1) the average value of the application of the TPS learning model through macromedia flash 8 was 3.20 (good category) and (2) the average value of students' mathematical communication skills on the system of linear equations of two variables material before using the TPS learning model through macromedia flash 8 is 67.08 (enough category) and after using the TPS learning model through macromedia flash 8 is 84.16 (very good category). Furthermore, the acquisition of the N-gain index value of the students' mathematical communication ability is 0.50 (medium category). (3) Based on inferential statistics using paired samples test, (SPSS version 20) gives a significant score of 0.000 which is smaller than the alpha 0 real level. 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) which means that the use of the TPS learning model through Macromedia Flash 8 on the mathematical communication skills of class X SMA Negeri 1 Tambangan is effective. Thus, it is concluded that the application of the TPS learning model through macromedia flash 8 for improving students' mathematical communication skills is quite effective.

Abstract

This study has the objective to analyze the literature review regarding the disposition mathematical model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) aided software-based instructional media is media Articulate Storyline on comparative material for learners junior high school (SMP). Disposition of mathematical ability is very important to be improved, it is done in an effort to minimize the low active learners junior high school. The method used in this study is a qualitative method approach literature review and study of literature. Reference this research comes from national journal articles within the last 5 years (2017-2022). From some reference data obtained, the results showed that of the 10 national journal articles obtained have as many as six articles that correspond systematically based on the topic title of this research. Application of PBL models and media software Articulate Storyline in secondary schools in mathematics learning process material is appropriate comparison to the upgrading of mathematical disposition that is used as a reference. Application of PBL models and media software Articulate Storyline in secondary schools in mathematics learning material comparisons can improve and develop mathematical disposition affective abilities possessed by every learner.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is generally to describe the effectiveness of the application of the discovery learning learning model by using a problem posing approach on the quadrilateral material of class VII. This research uses experimental type of quantitative research. This study took two groups, namely the first class is the control class and the second class is the experimental class with 17 students each. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and tests in the form of posttest and pretest. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, it was found that the teacher's ability to manage learning using the discovery learning learning model with a problem posing approach was said to be effective, because the average aspect was in the very good category, namely 3.9. And the results of the analysis of student activity observation data are in the very good category, namely 98.81%. Based on the percentage of classical completeness of mathematics learning outcomes after the discovery learning model was applied, 100% was categorized as complete and 0% incomplete. Based on the results of the independent sample t-test, learning with discovery learning learning models with a problem posing approach is higher than students who are taught using conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the validity of learning tools in the form of student worksheets (LKS) based on caring and environmental culture in schools is oriented to problem solving and student curiosity. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research that presents data from validators on the validity of LKS based on environmental care and culture in schools. The validator consists of two Mathematics Education experts. The instrument used is a validation sheet which shows that the worksheets meet the valid criteria for the very good category with an average validation score of 109. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it is concluded that the mathematics learning tools develop are categorized as very valid. However, it still needs to be tested practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah peningkatan hasil belajar statistika dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yaitu penelitian tindakan (action research). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa serta mengungkap kendala atau kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam pembelajaran menghitung ukuran pemusatan data melalui Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams achievment division sebagai alat pengumpul data yaitu tes dan observasi guru. Dari hasil tes awal ini sebesar 61,13 dan terdapat 12 siswa (37,5 dari 32 siswa yang telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar individu (nilai ≥ 65) sedangkan 20 siswa lainnya (62,5%) belum tuntas (nilai ≤ 65), setelah diberikan tindakan pad siklus I dari 32 siswa, 28 siswa (87,5%) telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar (nilainya ≥ 65) sedangkan 4 siswa (12,5%) belum mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar. Nilai rata-rata kelas yang diperoleh adalah 74,34. Hasil observasi pada siklus I yang mengalami peningkatan dari hasil observasi pada pembelajaran pertemuan I dan pertemuan ke 2, pada pertemuan I hasil observasi guru diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,06 sedangkan untuk pertemuan ke II diperoleh rata0rata sebesar 3,36 dengan nilai rata-rata antara pertemuan I dan ke II sebesar 3,20. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar statistika siswa, dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams achievment division di Kelas XI Tkr.2 SMK Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

The development of the era followed by technological developments also affects the learning paradigm, from conventional to modern. Technological innovation in education is increasingly sophisticated, so that subject matter can be mixed and delivered with technological advances. The current learning paradigm is more student-centered and the teacher occupies a position as a facilitator. The reality that occurs in the field shows that the courage of students to ask questions, express opinions, and students' curiosity in the learning process is still lacking. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Project Based Instruction learning method on student learning outcomes. The research method used is classroom action research using two cycles carried out in the first semester with Number Pattern Material. The population in this study were students of class VII Ponpes Salapiah Gunung Silayang Layang. The results showed that there was a significant effect of student learning outcomes in learning mathematics through the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model, which increased by 71.85 with the "Enough" category in the first cycle, then increased to 88.55 with the "Good" category in the first cycle. cycle II. The teacher's ability to manage learning using the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model increased by 9.47%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant effect between the Group Investigation learning model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in the Pythagorean Theorem subject in class VIII-B MTS YPKS Padangsidimpuan. The population in this study were all eighth grade students at MTS YPKS Padangsidimpuan. The sample of this study consisted of 2 classes of 30 students, namely class VIII-B as the experimental class and class VIII-A as the control class. The experimental class uses the Group Investigation learning model, and the control class uses the Conventional learning model. This type of research is an experiment by giving treatment to the research sample group and then given a pretest and posttest, as a data collection tool. Before testing the hypothesis, first the normality and homogeneity of the test were tested. From the post-test data analysis of reasoning ability using the t-test at level = 0.05, it was obtained that thitung > ttabel was 10.322 > 1.667 so that for both hypothesis tests H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between the Group Investigation learning model on students' mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

This thesis discussed the effect of independent learning on mathematics learning outcomes in grade VII SMP Negeri 2 Tano Tombangan Angkola. This research is a quantitative research method of non- experimental variabel studied, namely student X learning independence and Y mathematics learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of independent learning (X) on mathematics learning outcomes (Y) of student at SMP Negeri 2 Tano Tombangan Angkola. The sampel used was 30 students, while data collection was carried out by means of a questionnaire and essay test for students with the subject of the set Based on the t-test analysis thitung of 11.49 and the ttabel value is 2,048. Means thitung is greathes than ttabel (11,49 > 2,048) this means that reject Ho accept H1 or there is a sigmificant direct influence between independent learning on mathematics learning outcomes of VII grade student of SMP Negeri 2 Tano Tombangan Angkola with a coefficient of determination of 82,7% the remaining 17,3 % is influenced by other factors not examined.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLearning concentration and burnout are interrelated in the learning process. Low learning concentration and high learning saturation will affect learning achievement. This study aims to determine 1) the effect of learning concentration on mathematics learning achievement; 2) the effect of learning burnout on mathematics learning achievement; 3) the effect of learning concentration and burnout on mathematics learning achievement. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Sumbang using quantitative with the ex post facto method. The population in this study was seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sumbang. The research sample was 110 which was determined using simple random sampling with random selection using Isaac and Michael tables with an error rate of 5%. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and tests that had passed the validity and reliability tests. The data were examined using prerequisite tests; the normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and linearity test. A multiple linear regression model and the hypotheses testing were then employed; the correlation coefficient, the coefficient of determination, the partial test (t-test), and the simultaneous test (F test). The linear regression model formed was Y = 71.354 + 0.422X1 - 0.950X2. The results of the study stated that 1) learning concentration had a positive effect on mathematics learning achievement by 14.7%; 2) learning burnout contributed a negative effect on mathematics learning achievement by 52.1%; 3) learning concentration and burnout had a significant effect on mathematics learning achievement by 66.7%.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a smart book mathematics learning media assisted by a valid book creator at the junior high school level. This research uses development research (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire technique. The results of the analysis of the media expert's assessment have an average score of 95.5 which means the media is declared in the valid category by media experts. The results of the analysis of the material expert's assessment have an average score of 94 which means the media is declared in the very valid category by material experts.
