Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of a Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model is better than using a direct learning model on the linear inequality of one variable material on the communication skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Batang Angkola T.A. 2021-2022. The population in this study were all students of SMP Negeri 5 Batang Angkola T.A 2021-2022. The sample in this study consisted of 2 classes, namely class VII-1 and class VII-2. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. In this study, the data collection tool used was a test instrument in the form of a description, each test consisting of 3 questions that had been declared valid by a team of experts and based on trials on non-sample research. From the results of the post-test data analysis of mathematical communication skills using the t-test level = 0.05, it was obtained ttable = 1.9973 and tcount = 3.389. So, it was concluded that there was an effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model on communication. students' mathematics on the material of one variable linear inequalities class VII SMP Negeri 5 Batang Angkola T.A. 2021-2022. The suggestion that researchers can give is that the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model is suitable for use as a teaching method with efficient use of time and is suitable for linear inequalities of one variable.

Abstract

Tapanuli Selatan (Tapsel) memiliki masyarakat yang campuran dari berbagai suku. Terdapat sejumlah suku di Tapanuli Selatan yang erat kaitannya dengan konteks dalam pembelajaran matematika. Namun, para pendidik di Tapsel belum banyak yang melihat budaya tersebut sebagai suatu konteks yang dapat digunakan sebagai starting point dalam pembelajaran matematika. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi budaya masyarakat Tapsel yang dapat digunakan sebagai titik awal dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian etnografi yang bersumber pada studi pustaka, observasi lapangan, dan wawancara dengan narasumber yang memahami Bahasa Batak dengan baik untuk mengklarifikasi dan/atau memberikan pemahaman lebih terhadap hasil kajian literatur yang dikumpulkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sejumlah bahasa matematis yang digunakan masyarakat Tapsel dalam Bahasa Indonesia yang dapat digunakan sebagai starting point dalam pembelajaran matematika. Bahasa matematis ini meliputi penyebutan bilangan, luasan, sudut, volume, satuan tak tentu, dan penentuan satuan waktu.

Abstract

Abstract The background of this research is the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020 and this is a year that worries all countries, including Indonesia. This pandemic also occurred in Indonesia which made many parties participate in overcoming this pandemic. Learning in Sosorgonting village of Adam Dewi sub-district had carried out learning at home to avoid physical contact with others. The purpose of this study was to find out how students’ learning independent was during the Covid-19 pandemic in Sosorgonting village, Andam Dewi sub- district. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The instrument used is a questionnaire with 15 students as respondents. The results showed 3 students had average 84 (very good category), 11 students had average 71.2 (good category), 1 student had average 53.3 (poor category) Keywords: Independent learning, learning mathematics, Covid-19

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to know the description of students’ ability to understand mathematics and what the factors that affect students’ ability to understand mathematics in terms of learning difficulties during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research was conducted at the Sosorgonting Adventist Private Elementary School. The type of research used qualitative method. Data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires, interviews, tests and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the students' ability to understand mathematics was still low, 10 students did not complete and 3 students completed the specified KKM score. The results of the distributed questionnaires obtained showed the average is 72.31 which mean that students have learning difficulties in the high category. Students' ability to understand mathematics is influenced by several factors, namely external and internal factors. Some external factors include time constraints, family pressure, lack of support in the surrounding environment and financial problems. In addition, there are internal factors related to discipline, interests, and physical health.

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the fact that studying mathematics cannot be separated from various influencing factors, one of which is the student's gender (gender). The description of students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in mathematics learning in terms of gender is certainly an interesting focus and attention for educators. descriptive qualitative and informants in this study are students and teachers. The results of the research conducted can be concluded that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students at SMK Negeri 1 Sosorgadong based on gender in the linear equation system material is included in the low criteria.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the level of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the implementation of online learning at SMK N 1 Sosorgadong. This research approach is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 14 students. Interviews and tests were used in data collection and triangulation techniques were used in analytical techniques. The results showed that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students was 70.23 (medium category). In conclusion, students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the implementation of online learning at SMK N 1 Sosorgadong include students having the ability to plan, monitor problem solving, and recheck answers.

Abstract

Abstrak Media pembelajaran merupakan media penunjang dalam pembelajaran dengan tujuan untuk meningkatakan kualitas peserta didik dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Namun dalam kenyaatannya guru hanya meggunakan metode ceramah sehingga pembelajaran sangat monoton. Penelitian ii bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media monopoly game smart (MGS) untuk kelas VIII-2 SMP Negeri 11 Padangsidimpuan yang layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah R & D (Research and Development) dengan model 4-D yang terdiri dari tahap Pendefenisian (Define), tahap Perancangan (Design), tahap Pengembangan (Development), dan tahap Penyebaran (Disseminate). Tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa data dari ahli, angket respon siswa dan angket kreativitas belajar siswa selanjutnya dilakukan analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi ahli media mendapat rata-rata 93,75% kategori Sangat Valid , ahli media mendapat rata-rata 88,75% kategori valid. Kemudian hasil persentase angket respon siswa mendapatkan nilai 89,047% dengan kategori praktis. Kata kunci— Pengembangan, Monopoly Game Smart (MGS) Abstract learning media is a supporting media in learning with the aim of improving the quality of student in teaching and learning activities. But in reality the teacher only uses the lecture methode so that learning is very monotonous. This research aims to develop a smart monopoly games (MGS) Media for class VIII-2 SMP N 11 Padangsdimpuan which is suitable for use in learning activities. The type of reserch use is R & D ( Research and Development) with a 4-D model consisting of the define stage, desing stage, development stage, ang disseminate stage. The data collection technique use is the from of data from expert, student response questionnaires and student learning creativity questionnaires, then data analisis is carried out. The result showed that media expert validation got an average of 93,75%, in the very valid category, theory expert got an average of 88,75% in the valid category. Then result of the percentage of student response questionnaires get a value of 89,047% in the practical category. Keywords— Development, monopoly game smart (MGS)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors of the low mathematical problem solving ability of students on Arithmetic Rows and Series materials at the Padangsidimpuan Teruna Private Vocational School. The researcher uses qualitative research methods with analytical techniques that include data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Data collection methods in this study used tests, questionnaires and interviews. the data source is the 11th grade students of Padangsidimpuan Teruna Private Vocational School. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students who do not have a poor level of problem solving ability do not have planning and evaluation skills. So that solving problems in Arithmetic Sequences and Series cannot be applied.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah keabstrakan matematika yang menyebabkan rendahnya disposisi dalam belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII 1 SMP Negeri 1 Marancar. Keabstrakan ini menyulitkan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika sehingga siswa membutuhkan adanya perantara atau media agar materi pelajaran tampak konkrit bagi siswa. Disamping itu dengan penggunaan media powerpoint ini diharapkan dapatmemotivasi siswa agar lebih semangat dan terus belajar. Dalam hal ini adalah tentang penggunaan media powerpoint di SMP Negeri 1Marancar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan disposisi matematis siswa melalui pembelajaran media powerpoint dikelas VIII-1 SMP N.1 Marancar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan informan penelitian adalah kelas VIII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Marancar dengan jumlah siswa 21 orang. Kemudian instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data ini adalah wawancara dengan siswa dan juga angket. Dalam pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali pertemuan. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut didapati angket kemampuan disposisi matematis siswa yang mencapai 80,6 dan angket reson siswa terhadap pelajaran media powerpoint dengan kriteria layak pakai dengan perolehan 76,90%.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop interactive learning media products through the Quizizz application in mathematics lessons in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Kolang. To see the effectiveness of interactive learning media through the Quizizz application in mathematics lessons in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Kolang. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kolang. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). This study uses the ADDIE development model including Analysis (analysis), Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation), and Evaluation (evaluation). The data collection technique used is observation and lift. The results of this development are in the form of learning media in the form of animated videos. Learning media were validated by validators from 3 expert teams, namely media experts, 91% were obtained in the very good category, material experts were 96% in the very good category. Then the results of student responses or product practicality obtained an average value of 90 with very good achievements. The results of the research conducted showed that the average value of the students' pretest results was 62.06 while the posttest average value was 85.88. then to test the effectiveness of quizizz-based interactive media in learning seen from the acquisition of the N-gain value. the results of the above calculation obtained an N-Gain value of 0.63. Then if you look for the percentage of the N-Gain value obtained by 63%, it can be concluded that the acquisition of the N-Gain value is in the medium classification.
