Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent to which elementary school students understand the concept of addition operations based on a review of relevant literature. The method used in this study is library research through the review of various relevant sources and the results of previous studies related to the understanding of the concept of addition in elementary school students. Research data were obtained from various sources of literature studies that meet the criteria of validity, reliability, and relevance of the study. The analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis techniques to describe the level of students' understanding of the concept of addition operations of integers in elementary school students. The results of the study indicate that the understanding of grade 1 students on the concept of addition of integers is still not optimal. Students' difficulties in understanding place value are an important finding that can be used as evaluation material in mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis etnomatematika makanan khas Kediri pada materi volume bangun ruang kelas V sekolah dasar serta mengetahui tingkat kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifannya. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 17 peserta didik kelas V-B sebagai uji coba skala kecil dan 25 peserta didik kelas V-A sebagai uji coba skala besar di SDN Semen 1 Kabupaten Kediri. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, angket, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan memperoleh kategori sangat valid berdasarkan penilaian dua validator ahli. Hasil uji kepraktisan menunjukkan respons guru mencapai 100%, sedangkan respons peserta didik mencapai 95,88% pada skala kecil dan 93,20% pada skala besar dengan kategori sangat praktis. Hasil uji keefektifan menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 pada uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test maupun Paired Samples t-Test, sehingga terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang signifikan setelah menggunakan LKPD. Dengan demikian, LKPD berbasis etnomatematika makanan khas Kediri dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi volume bangun ruang kelas V sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This development research aims to: 1) Determine the validity of the educational game "Snakes and Ladders" mathematics learning media, 2) Determine the practicality of the educational game "Snakes and Ladders" mathematics learning media, 3) Determine the effectiveness of the educational game "Snakes and Ladders" mathematics learning media. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, and 5) Evaluation. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The instruments used were 1) a questionnaire in the form of a validation questionnaire by experts to determine the product's validity and a student response questionnaire to determine its practicality, 2) a test sheet for the effectiveness of the developed product. Validation was carried out by media experts and material experts, who then conducted a product trial by observing the response to product use and student test results based on mathematical problem-solving abilities. The trial was conducted on 20 students in grade VIII of MTs Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan. Based on the results of this study, the product's validity was obtained with an average percentage of 91.6%, categorized as "Very Valid," the product's practicality was obtained with an average percentage of 86.5%, categorized as "Practical," and the product's effectiveness was obtained with an average percentage of 89%, categorized as "Effective."

Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ low understanding of three-dimensional geometry due to the abstract nature of the material and the limited use of learning media that provide concrete learning experiences. The purpose of this study was to develop and examine the effectiveness of a Smart Box learning media based on the ethnomathematics of Tegowangi Temple for fifth-grade elementary school students. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 12 students in the limited trial and 27 students in the field trial at SDN Sukorame 2, Kediri City. The research instruments included material and media validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest questions. The results showed that the developed media achieved a very high level of validity, with material expert validation reaching 100% and media expert validation reaching 90.5%. The practicality of the media was also categorized as very practical, with teacher responses of 97.6%, limited trial responses of 95.8%, and field trial responses of 97.4%. The effectiveness of the media was demonstrated by an N-Gain score of 0.86 in the high category and a Wilcoxon test result of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, the Tegowangi Temple Ethnomathematics-Based Smart Box was proven to be valid, practical, and effective as a learning medium for teaching three-dimensional geometry in elementary schools.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dalam pendidikan menjadi salah satu strategi utama untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sains pada abad ke-21. Integrasi pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) dengan teknologi digital diyakini mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, kreativitas, serta literasi sains peserta didik. Meskipun demikian, implementasi pembelajaran berbasis transformasi digital dan STEM masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, khususnya pada aspek kesiapan guru, infrastruktur teknologi, dan efektivitas penerapannya dalam meningkatkan literasi sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren penelitian, bentuk implementasi, efektivitas, serta tantangan penerapan transformasi digital berbasis STEM dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa sekolah menengah pertama melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Metode penelitian mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA 2020 dengan melakukan penelusuran artikel pada basis data Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, Taylor & Francis, dan Google Scholar yang dipublikasikan selama periode 2020–2026. Berdasarkan proses identifikasi, penyaringan, uji kelayakan, dan inklusi, diperoleh 35 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria analisis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis transformasi digital yang dipadukan dengan pendekatan STEM secara konsisten memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan literasi sains, kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, kolaborasi, kreativitas, serta keterampilan abad ke-21 peserta didik. Media digital yang paling banyak digunakan meliputi Learning Management System (LMS), simulasi virtual, laboratorium virtual, aplikasi interaktif, multimedia pembelajaran, dan platform berbasis kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence). Namun demikian, implementasi masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi, rendahnya kompetensi digital pendidik, serta kesenjangan akses teknologi antarwilayah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan kebijakan transformasi digital, peningkatan kompetensi guru, serta pengembangan model pembelajaran STEM berbasis teknologi yang kontekstual dan berkelanjutan untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan sains di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Wordwall-assisted Problem-Based Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Bangkala III in Makassar. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The study population consisted of all third-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Bangkala III in Makassar, while the sample comprised students in Class 3A. Data collection techniques included observation, achievement tests, and documentation. Data analysis utilized descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicated that the implementation of the Wordwall-assisted Problem-Based Learning model had a positive effect on students’ mathematics achievement. Furthermore, student engagement during the learning process was rated as “good,” indicating that students were actively involved in every stage of the learning process, thereby supporting improvements in mathematics achievement. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of implementing the Wordwall-assisted Problem-Based Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade student kelas III UPT SPF SD Inpres Bangkala III Kota Makassar. Furthermore, the observation results showed that the teacher’s activities during the learning process were in the “very good” category, reflecting that each stage of the learning process was carried out optimally in accordance with the syntax of the Wordwall-assisted Problem-Based Learning model.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine mathematical concepts embedded in the practice of Toroi Lado Dahha in Lamboya indigenous community, West Sumba. The study is motivated by the importance of exploring mathematics embedded in local culture as part of ethnomathematics. This research employed a qualitative ethnographic approach through in-depth interviews with traditional leaders (Rato). The results show that Toroi Lado Dahha contains mathematical concepts such as basic arithmetic, number sequences, discrete time functions, and lunar calendar systems. The determination of ritual time is conducted through forward counting from the full moon phase and by observing the emergence of nyale, a type of sea worm that serves as the main indicator for Pasola timing. Furthermore, the system is not fixed but adaptive to natural conditions and cultural decisions. This study reveals that mathematics in Lamboya society is implicit and integrated with language, culture, and daily practices. Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools still faces challenges, particularly in the topic of solid figure nets, which is abstract and requires contextual and engaging learning media. This study aimed to develop an ethnomathematics-based scrapbook learning media and determine its validity and practicality for teaching solid figure nets. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects included two expert validators, one fifth-grade teacher, and 30 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 3 Mantingan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, validation questionnaires, and response questionnaires. The results showed that the material expert validation reached 96% and the media expert validation reached 100%, both categorized as Highly Valid. The practicality test obtained 98% based on the teacher's responses and 98% based on the students' responses, both categorized as Highly Practical. Therefore, the ethnomathematics-based scrapbook learning media is considered highly valid and practical for teaching solid figure nets in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul matematika berbasis pendekatan deep learning yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X. Latar belakang penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar merupakan indikator penting dalam proses pembelajaran, dan pemilihan modul yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa serta kurikulum menjadi faktor kunci. Kurikulum Merdeka menekankan pendekatan deep learning untuk mendorong pemahaman konsep secara mendalam dan bermakna. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X A dan X B di MA Riyadlul Ulum Bangil, yang dibagi menjadi kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis dan dianalisis menggunakan sintaks deep learning. Hasil validasi menunjukkan penilaian sangat baik dari ahli materi (100%), ahli pembelajaran (81,25%), ahli desain (97,70%), dan ahli instrumen tes (82,14%), serta penilaian praktisi sebesar 89,49% dengan kategori praktis. Uji efektivitas menggunakan paired sample t-test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,014 (kelas X A) dan 0,015 (kelas X B) yang menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan. Analisis N-Gain juga mencatat peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 0,3764 pada kelas X A dan 0,5568 pada kelas X B. Dengan demikian, modul matematika berbasis deep learning dinyatakan layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai bahan ajar mandiri untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X.

Abstract

The Education Report presents learning outcomes down to the content domain level, yet schools rarely use it to diagnose weaknesses in student numeracy, and even less so in geometry. This study mapped the geometry achievement profile in AKM Numeracy, traced the factors accompanying low achievement, and formulated recommendations for improving instruction. An explanatory sequential mixed methods design was used. The first phase analysed indicators from the 2025 Education Report of SMP Negeri 10 Tual using descriptive quantitative analysis. The second phase explained the resulting patterns through semi-structured interviews with students and mathematics teachers, analysed thematically following the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The quantitative phase showed that 79.17% of students had not reached the minimum numeracy competency and that the geometry score fell from 50.64 in 2024 to 47.51 in 2025. The lowest achievement occurred in knowing (40.68) and applying (46.53), while reasoning rose by 3.28 points. Interviews with students and teachers indicated that the main difficulties stem from poor reading of visual representations, mastery of shape properties relying solely on rote memorization, and limited use of interactive learning media in the classroom. The Education Report can therefore serve as a diagnostic instrument supporting data-driven decision making for geometry learning in junior secondary schools.
