Abstract

This article discusses the change management Institution of Islam in the Era of globalization. The existence of Islamic educational institutions now is faced with various challenges, namely the existence of the current globalization, development of science and technology and the flow of information that is always evolving and constantly growing fast. In this era of technological advancement could not be avoided because of advances in technology will run in accordance with the development of science. Each innovation was created to provide positive benefits to human life. The technology also provides a lot of convenience, as well as a new way of doing human activities. Humans also already enjoy many of the benefits brought by the technological innovations that have been produced in the last decade. An attempt looking for a new idea about change management in Islamic institution certainly is not easy, therefore the need for the support of all parties. MTsN 1 Malang is a madrasah that is able to manage the institution so that it is able to survive as a flagship school of Islam, considering the development of the religion of Islam which should be offset by means of an adequate education to educate the their students are tough, then it is very exciting to be disclosed further through this research, and it is indeed a very appropriate with the title of the study i.e. change management institution of Islam in the era of globalization.

Abstract

Spiritual leaders are leaders who influence people led by inspired, enlighten, awaken, enabling, and empowering through the approach of spirituality or religious ethical values. This research was conducted in three boarding students, in student boarding Ulul Albab, Ulul Yaqin and Ulul Hikam in Malang, East Java, using a qualitative approach. This study was designed wearing a multi-site study. Once the data as a whole has finished checking, the data collected were analyzed, with analysis of the site as well as inter-site analysis. From the research result shows that: (1) Perspective spiritual leadership is a boarding student. (2)Spirituality actualization of leadership in the assembly caregivers (3) Typology of leadership tends to behavior leadership of participative colleguelike – democratic - spiritual religion (4) Decision-making (5) Settlement of individual conflicts (6) The development team (7) Variety of spiritual leadership in organizational culture (8) The value system of spiritual leadership, and (9) There are several obstacles and solutions in spiritual leadership at the boarding (pesantren) students.

Abstract

Education is an important part of the national development process that helps determine the economic growth of a country. Education is also an investment in human resourcedevelopment, where the improvement of skills and abilities is believed to be a factor supporting human efforts in navigating a life full of uncertainty. The variety of school environment conditions and the varied needs of students in the learning process coupled with Indonesia's highly complex geography, often can not be fully appreciated by the central bureaucracy. Therefore, in the process of improving the quality of education needs to find an alternative model of school management. This led to the birth of the concept of school-based quality improvement management. The purpose of this discussion is to describe the concept of management in accordance withthe needs of schools.Key Word: Development, School Based Management

Abstract

Madrasah as the oldest institution, constantly have to innovate for the sake of maintaining the quality of education. To meet the leadership of the madrasa has a share fully in developing and advancing the whole element of education, ranging from human resources to management. This research was descriptive qualitative approach to the leadership of Madsarah Ibtidaiyah Roudlotul Khuffadz of West Papua in extending the educational system through the transformative leadership patterns that are very dynamic and democratic, developing human resources simultaneously, process leadership (planning, organizing, moving and cordinatoring), encourages the occurrenceof sincere work. Finally, other efforts are implemented memorizing the Qur'an, mapping the talents of interest of students, evaluation of each program and pay attention to accountability and transparency.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia as an educational institution of its existence is enough very old. Along the way, many changes occur, both positive and negative. But the development of the boarding school in the archipelago as the oldest educational institution does not have a significant correlation with the strength or menejemennya progress. Boarding schools have ups and downs, from the colonial period, independence, until the time of the current reform. Kyai as a helm, multifunctional duties, as a teacher, preacher, and managers. As a manager it must improve the quality mutu.Tuntutan better than any cleric become a requirement for boarding institutions. Quality in the sense of the word, they can work with professionals, in accordance with the functions and responsibilities. So also for the leadership of the boarding school can work in a professional manner to meet the needs of the professionalism of teachers, good service, education, health, facilities, and no less important is the economic aspect or the necessities of life of current and future.

Abstract

Brand is a crucial element that gives great contribution to the success of an organization, both business and nonprofit organization. State Islamic Higher Education (PTKIN) needs to be aware to the value of branding and build a strong and sustainable Brand. Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (UIN Maliki Malang) is one of PTKIN has tried several strategies to build global Brand toward world class university. This research tries to explain: 1) How strategic plan of UIN Maliki Malang Brand development towards world class university. 2) How the strategy is used by rector in building global brand toward world class university 3)How the management of international students in UIN Maliki Malang. This research uses a qualitative approach and case study type. Source of the data is derived from informants and documentation, which are adjusted to the research focus. The technique for data analysis uses interview, observation, and documentation. In analyzing the data, the researcher reduce and display the data then make the conclusion. For checking the data validity, source and method triangulation are also conducted. The results of this study indicate that: 1) UIN Maliki Malang strategic planning is formulated in University's Guideline (GBHU), which contains: that contain: integration of science and Islam, billingual, university policy, ma’had and HTQ, internationalization university, lecture and student’s development, revitalization socio and religious function through LP2M, faculties development, management development, fund rising. 2) Implementation of Global branding strategy towards world class university is doing segmentation in global scala, targetting, positioning and differentiation in global scala. Segmentation changed from national, regional and international, targetting changed, positioning and differentiation promoted globally to attract international students and international reputation. 3) International student in UIN Maliki Malang was come since 2009 until now. UIN Maliki Malang has one department focused in guiding and sharing about problems and difficulties from international student. Main problem that they faced are languange (bahasa Indonesia) and academic adaptation.

Abstract

Manajemen pendidikan diakui sebagai salah satu aspek terpenting dalam pendidikan dewasa ini. Hal demikian karena manajemen pendidikan telah menjadi aktivitas penopang mutu pendidikan, bahkan telah menjadi ciri dan indikasi dari mutu pendidikan itu sendiri. Sekalipun manajemen pendidikan, bukan unsur utama pendidikan, tetapi pendidikan bermutu seringkali diukur dari aktivitas manajemen pendidikan ini. Oleh karena itu, manajemen pendidikan yang baik perlu diupayakan sebagai ikhtiyar mengembangkan mutu pendidikan.Keberadaan konsep dan praktik manajemen pendidikan dewasa ini dirasakan perlu ada sentuhan baru. Hal demikian karena manajemen pendidikan merupakan ilmu terapan manajemen dalam dunia pendidikan. Sebagai ilmu yang berkembang dari dunia bisnis, norma dan etika keilmuan manajemen tidak dapat dipisahkan dari motif-motif ekonomi, hubungan manusiawi, dan aspek-aspek organisasi. Padahal dirasakan ada hal-hal fundamental pendidikan yang tidak bisa sekedar dengan pendekatan bisnis. Bahkan sebagaimana lazim pada keilmuan barat, persoalan moral dan etika seringkali terlepas dari pengembangan ilmu manajemen itu sendiri. Abstract

This study aims to examine the foundation of the implementation of ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System in improving the quality of learning in the Faculty ofTarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, the results can be summarized as follows: 1) Making the concept of “Ulul Albab” as a jargon that would be manifested in the form of an educational program under the umbrella of “Ulul Albab”. 2) Realizing a scientific structure that integrates science and Islam with the Treeof Science Metaphor. 3) Trying to anticipate the challenges of higher education both on the national macro and global competition. 4) Realizing organizational health (organization health), to develop academic freedom, innovation, creativity and knowledge sharing. 5) Applying quality assurance consistently. 6) Determined to apply quality culture by implementing QMS ISO 9001: 2008 as international standard quality standard. 7) Implementing the International Quality Management System Organization for Standardization (SSNI ISO) 9001: 2008 to achieve the quality standard of education. 8) Conduct internal audit for continuous improvement of quality (continual improvement). 9) Anticipate various organizational changes at any time and periodic. 10) The ability of leaders to have the vision and confidence to realize his vision. 11) Making the values of the Qur'an (the concept of ihsan: doing better) as the cornerstone of the implementation of the quality management system. 12) Implement the main principles of the quality management system: "Write down what is done and do what is written". 13) Implement a systematic and continuous quality assurance system. 14) The purpose of quality assurance to ensure: compliance, certainty, and relevance. 15) Stipulate the quality points refer to the quality of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. 16) Determined to make quality assurance in academic service.Keywords: Platform, Thought, QMS, Quality, Learning.

Abstract

Universities are still in the process of transitioning to the global level; therefore universities require autonomy, accountability, legitimacy, and credibility. The backwardness of the education sector must be pursued by improving the education system, and higher education as an organization must be able to adapt to these changes so as not to suffer from increasingly fierce competition. One significant effort is to reform education through innovation and creativity. Consequently, the above needs and the objectives of implementing higher education, it requires that the management of higher education institutions be carried out professionally. This can be realized when the college has an excellent strategic management plan because with proper planning the organization will be able to walk towards achieving its goals and sustainability, as well as the function of the institution as a protected educational institution. The implementation of higher education based on stakeholders inevitably must have a plan for a sustainable organizational and educational activity strategy, in accordance with the conditions of the internal environment and the external environment (competition with similar universities, regulators, inflation/ economic conditions, etc.) so that universities always have excellence competitiveness, added value and differentiation to satisfy stakeholders, which in turn make the acceptance of higher education continuously exist, respected and needed by the community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze about: 1) Principal planning in developing multicultural Islamic religious education in the 1 Kademangan Vocational High School (SMKN). 2) The process of organizing school principals in applying multicultural Islamic religious education at 1 Kademangan Vocational High School. 3) Implementation Procedure of the principal in developing multicultural Islamic religious education at 1 Kademangan Vocational High School. 4) Control of principals in developing multicultural Islamic religious education in 1 Kademangan Vocational High School. The type of research conducted is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. This study focuses on managerial competencies of principals in developing multicultural Islamic religious education in 1 Kademangan Vocational High School. For data collection techniques, researchers conduct interviews, documentation and direct observation. While the analysis of the data used in this study is the data analysis technique of the Spradley model or better known as Cyclic mode. The results found by researchers in the field are planning processes, goals must be made clearly because it is used as a guideline for activities that reinforce the direction and effort of activities and facilitate in obtaining the support of resources and competencies in both the organization and the environment. Organizing is organized on the basis of predetermined objectives and formal formal mechanisms in the organizational structure that reflect the needs and optimization of existing resources in a good organization. At the stage of implementing the communication skills of the school principal also determines the course of effective management. The supervision process becomes an important part that is directly related to considering changes in procedures, policies, and even organizational goals.
