Abstract

Industri konstruksi di Indonesia hingga saat ini masih didominasi oleh metode konvensional dalam perencanaan dan pengelolaan biaya proyek, khususnya pada tahap perhitungan volume dan estimasi anggaran yang berbasis gambar dua dimensi dan perhitungan manual. Seiring dengan Revolusi Industri 5.0, penerapan Building Information Modeling (BIM) menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, akurasi, dan transparansi dalam manajemen konstruksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memodelkan 3D pada pembangunan yang ditinjau untuk efektifitas pengendalian volume secara presisi. Penelitian ini menerapkan BIM dan menggunakan alat bantu software Autodesk Revit 2024 untuk menghitung volume secara terintegrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi BIM sampai level 3D menghasilkan output berupa volume pekerjaan pengecoran sebesar: 2.201m3 dan pekerjaan pembesian sebesar: 341.754kg perhitungan volume yang lebih akurat karena kuantitas diperoleh langsung dari model 3D serta mampu memperbarui volume secara real-time ketika desain dirubah, sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi estimasi dan mengurangi risiko deviasi anggaran yang disebabkan oleh perubahan desain. Hasil pada software Autodesk Revit menunjukkan bahwa 4,41% lebih efektif daripada metode konvensional.

Abstract

Menjelang musim hujan, area sekitar aliran Sungai sering dilanda genangan air atau banjir yang berlangsung 2 hingga 3 bulan. Aktivitas sosial-ekonomi warga terganggu dan hasil-hasil pertanian terancam gagal panen akibat banjir. Inovasi teknologi sawah terapung melalui SRI (system of rice intensification) diharapkan menjadi solusi jangka panjang bagi petani agar warga tetap produktif menghasilkan Padi. SRI merupakan sebuah system budidaya Padi lokal (Oryza sativa L) yang menekankan pengelolaan tanaman, tanah, air, dan unsur hara untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman lebih efisien dan mengurangi pupuk kimia, adaptif serta ramah lingkungan. Aplikasi teknologi ini diberikan dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) pada anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Barokah Tani di Kelurahan Pelalawan, Propinsi Riau. Persiapan kegiatan dimulai dari menyiapkan alat atau media tanam, tanah hitam & sekam, semai bibit padi, diskusi awal bersama anggota tani, observasi lokasi budidaya padi di Kanal atau saluran drainase, demontrasi cara semai pupuk organic melalui acara dialogis bersama team Dosen dari Fakultas Pertanian dan Departemen Perencanaan Wilayah & Kota, Universitas Islam Riau. Di masa depan, konsep teknologi sawah terapung bisa juga diterapkan pada tanaman hortikultura seperti Cabai, Terung, Tomat, Bawang Prei, & tanaman bumbu dapur lainnya.

Abstract

Learning scientific literacy is a crucial aspect in determining the achievement of science education in schools, especially in basic education, which is a vital level of education for imparting meaningful knowledge to children. Of course, it must also be accompanied by an interactive, inspiring, fun, challenging, and motivating learning process that can motivate students to actively participate in the learning process. Students at Al-Imarah Islamic Elementary School have minimal interest and motivation in learning science. This is also caused by the lack of innovative ways of teachers in packaging the learning process that only focuses on books. These problems can be solved through the Science edu-park-based Science Lantern Program which uses a three-method approach. First, program counseling. Second, conduct training, and lastly is assistance in science and technology. In the implementation of the program, students are given a pretest and posttest to measure the increase in students' scientific abilities. In addition, questionnaires were also given to teachers and students to measure the effectiveness of the Lentera Sains program implementation. At the end of the Science edu-park-based Science Lantern program, it can be concluded that the implementation of science edu-park has proven to be effective in improving students' scientific abilities in terms of knowledge and skills. And the response from teachers and students was very good and strongly agreed if the Science Edu-park-Based Science Lantern program could be carried out in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Pleurotus cystidiosus mushroom is a food mushroom with antidiabetic and antioxidant activities. However, utilizing this mushroom as a candidate for herbal medicine is still very rare. This study aims to evaluate the potential antidiabetic activity of flavonoid and alkaloid compounds contained in P. cystidiosus mushroom through an in silico approach as inhibitors ofPeroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma (PPAR-γ) and Glycogen Phosphorylase (GP) enzymes. PPAR-γ and GP are essential therapeutic targets in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus because they play a role in the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism. In this study, active compounds were identified through a literature review, and then analyzed for molecular interactions using the molecular docking method against PPAR-γ and GP crystal structures obtained from the Protein Data Bank (PDB) database. The docking results show that some flavonoid and alkaloid compounds have strong binding affinity towards both enzyme targets, as indicated by low binding energy values and significant hydrogen interactions with active residues. The binding affinity values of flavonoids and alkaloids to PPAR-γ were -5.3 and -6.9 kcal/mol, while those to GP were -7.9 and -6.8 kcal/mol. This study indicates that bioactive compounds from P. cystidiosus can potentially be candidate inhibitors of PPAR-γ and GP, and can be further developed as antidiabetic agents. Further in vitro and in vivo studies are recommended to confirm these compounds' biological activity and safety.

Abstract

Flooding in rural areas remains a complex and ongoing environmental issue, particularly in regions where rivers flow through residential settlements. The decline in river function caused by sedimentation, channel narrowing, and the accumulation of domestic waste has become one of the main factors contributing to flooding. Bojong Loa Village, Cisoka District, Tangerang Regency, experiences these conditions due to low public awareness of environmental management and the lack of an integrated waste management system. This study aims to analyze the implementation of community empowerment programs in environmental management and river normalization as flood prevention efforts. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a participatory approach through field observations, environmental education, active community involvement, and post-activity evaluation. The results indicate that river normalization activities improved water flow capacity and reduced the potential for inundation, while environmental education programs contributed to changes in community behavior regarding waste management. This study concludes that collaborative and sustainable community empowerment is effective in improving environmental quality and reducing flood risk in rural areas.

Abstract

This community service program aims to increase environmental awareness and economic capacity in the community through training in the production of environmentally friendly soap from used cooking oil in Sagulung Village, Batam City. The main problems faced by the participants include the high volume of used cooking oil that is improperly disposed of in households and the community's low entrepreneurial skills. The program implementation method consists of preparation, socialization, pre-test, theoretical and practical training, and business mentoring for two months. Evaluation of the program's success was carried out using pre-test and post-test methods to measure improvements in participant understanding, observation of practical skills, and analysis of product quality and business feasibility. A total of 15 participants participated in this program. The evaluation results showed an increase in the average score of participants' understanding from 46 to 84, or an increase of 82%. In addition, 450 liters of used cooking oil were successfully processed into 530 bars of soap with a pH of 9–10 and a free alkali content of <0.1% based on simple product testing. The economic analysis showed a net profit of IDR 825,000 with a Break-Even Point (BEP) of 200 chocolate bars. The program also successfully established micro-enterprise clusters with an average monthly turnover of Rp 1,950,000. These results demonstrate the program's effectiveness in increasing community capacity while supporting waste management and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

 The circulation of traditional medicines without official distribution permits and containing hazardous materials is a serious problem in society, including among students. Low literacy on how to select and verify the safety of traditional medicines makes adolescents vulnerable to using unsafe products. Therefore, it is important to provide education from an early age on simple ways to check the legality and safety of medicines, one of which is through the Cek KLIK BPOM program (Check: Packaging, Label, Distribution Permit, and Expiration Date). This community service activity aims to increase the understanding and awareness of students at MA NU 3 Ittihad Bahari Purworejo Bonang Demak regarding the importance of being smart consumers in choosing traditional medicines. The specific target is for students to be able to recognize the characteristics of safe traditional medicines, use the online Cek BPOM feature, and develop a critical attitude in selecting and using medicines. The methods used include interactive counseling to deliver the material, simulations using the BPOM website application, question and answer discussions to deepen understanding, and pre-posttest evaluations to measure the increase in student knowledge. The pre-test scores (13.4%) and post-test scores (54.4%) indicated an increase in knowledge about traditional medicine safety education through BPOM's KLIK Check. This is an initial step in developing a young generation that is aware of the importance of health and the safety of the products they consume.

Abstract

The digital transformation of academic administration services represents a critical requirement for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of higher education management. A primary challenge confronting the Industrial Engineering Study Program is the underutilization of the Work Practice (KP) and Final Project (TA) websites, compounded by the absence of standardized formats for administrative submissions, which continue to be processed via email. Such conditions contribute to processing delays, administrative errors, and an escalating workload for administrative staff. This community service initiative aims to advance the digital transformation of administrative services through the socialization of the KP and TA website and the standardization of administrative submission formats. The implementation employed an educational and participatory approach encompassing needs identification, material development, website socialization, and technical assistance, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The findings demonstrate a significant improvement in students’ and lecturers’ understanding of the KP and TA website, greater uniformity in administrative submission formats, and an enhanced potential for service efficiency. This initiative contributes to the optimal utilization of information systems and the cultivation of a digital literacy culture within the industrial engineering study program.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health problem with a high incidence rate in Indonesia. One of the contributing factors is the low level of community knowledge. In Sawah Baru Village, community knowledge regarding TB is still relatively low, indicating the need for effective health education interventions. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of health education in improving TB knowledge among the community in Sawah Baru Village. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test approach across three intervention groups: health education to cadre and public figure, educational video, and counseling using flipchart media. The results showed that health education was effective in improving community knowledge regarding TB. This was indicated by an increase in pre-test and post-test scores across all groups, supported by statistically significant results (p<0.05). The highest improvement was observed in the flipchart counseling group with a mean difference of 45 points and an N-gain value of 0.86 (high category), followed by educational video (0.81; high category), and health education (0.68; moderate category). Health education through various media is effective in improving TB knowledge, with flipchart-based counseling as the most effective intervention in Sawah Baru Village.
