Abstract

Many indigenous communities still live and depend on forest resources for their livelihoods.Jambi Province is one of the areas that has a nature reserve forest and biosphere reserve called Bukit Duabelas National Park. One example is the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) in Jambi Province. The SAD community, which still relies on forests for their livelihoods, relies on local wisdom in managing these forest resources. This contrasts sharply with the forest clearing activities carried out by local communities and large plantations that are expansively clearing forests for oil palm plantations. This negatively impacts the SAD community, whose primary livelihood relies on forest resources. Needs that they could have obtained from the forest are lost. Therefore, it is necessary to establish forest areas between production forests and forests for biosphere functions. The behavior of the SAD community towards local wisdom in the utilization of forest resources can have a significant impact on the economy for indigenous communities, especially SAD, and sustainable forest conservation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research plan aims to describe and analyze the behavior of SAD in terms of local wisdom in utilizing forest resources for SAD's livelihood. It is hoped that in the future, SAD's behavior in utilizing forest resources can be wiser and more sustainable.

Abstract

An audit committee is important in enhancing the objectivity of financial reporting and internal controls, thus providing further assurances of integrity in government spending. Examined the influence of resource adequacy on the effectiveness of audit committees among water authorities in Tanzania. A survey research design through relationship testing between study variables was employed to generate the data required for the study. Primary data was used to fill the study gap, which was noted from the field through respondents. Primary data were gathered and analysed using the SPSS program to generate the statistics that are presented as the findings of the study. The 100 staff were employed from a population of 335 staff calculated from this study. In particular, both descriptive and inferential statistics were used in the analysis of data using a binary logistic regression model to show the relationship between independent and dependent variables of the study. Financial resources, access to information and frequency of meeting with P-values of 0.019, 0.049 and 0.231, respectively, show all variables are statistically significant except frequency of meeting, while coefficients of financial resources, access to information and frequency of meeting are 0.987, 2.867 and 4.184, respectively. The analysis revealed that there is a positive and statistically significant relationship between audit adequacy of financial and information resources and the effectiveness of the audit committee in compliance with responsibilities as the dependent variables with P < 0.05. The study recommends that resources needed be provided to enable them to perform their duties as required.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of beef cattle sales through the integration of digital marketing strategies and a pre-order system, compare sales performance, and evaluate supply chain efficiency and business financial feasibility at PS Tunas Muda, Tuban Regency. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with a data collection period from December 2025 to January 2026. Data analysis used the Independent T-Test to compare sales volume and financial feasibility analysis using the indicators of R/C Ratio, B/C Ratio, and Break Even Point (BEP). The results showed a significant increase in sales volume from 14 heads (conventional) to 23 heads (digital pre-order) with a significance value of 0.015 (p < 0.05). Financial analysis recorded a profit of IDR 47,129,646 with an R/C Ratio of 1.08 and a B/C Ratio of 0.08. The pre-order system successfully shortened the supply chain, resulting in a farmer’s share of 100% with a marketing margin of 0%. The integration of pre-order-based digital marketing effectively increased sales volume and created economic efficiency by eliminating the role of intermediaries in livestock distribution.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of Indonesia’s cinnamon export volume and identify the factors affecting its export performance in the international market. The variables examined include Indonesia’s cinnamon export volume, domestic cinnamon production, China’s cinnamon production, Indonesia’s cinnamon export price, and the exchange rate of the Indonesian rupiah against the US dollar. The analysis employed the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach to examine long-run relationships and the Error Correction Model (ECM) to identify short-run dynamics. The results indicate that Indonesia’s cinnamon export volume fluctuated over time but showed an increasing trend in the long run. The Bounds Test confirmed the existence of cointegration among the variables. In the long run, the current export price, the exchange rate lagged by one period, and China’s cinnamon production lagged by one and two periods have a positive and significant effect on Indonesia’s cinnamon export volume. Conversely, the previous period’s export volume has a significant negative effect on the current export volume. Domestic cinnamon production was found to have no significant effect. The short-run ECM results reveal a significant adjustment mechanism toward long-run equilibrium. China’s cinnamon production lagged by one period, domestic production lagged by one period, and export volume lagged by two periods negatively and significantly affect current export volume, while the current exchange rate has a positive effect.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the general characteristics of partnership-based oil palm plantations in Maro Sebo Ilir District, Batang Hari Regency, and to analyze the influence of economic and social factors on sustainable oil palm plantations, including the influence mediated by the institutional performance variable. The economic factors examined include farmers' income, access to capital, and production cost efficiency, while social factors encompass farmers' knowledge levels, participation in farmer groups, and trust and social relationships. Data analysis employed the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with a sample of 43 farmers. The results indicate that the partnership-based oil palm plantations have been in operation since the transmigration program of the late 1990s, with an average land area of 2.42 hectares and an average partnership duration of 26.3 years; consequently, they are now entering a gradual replanting phase. The economic and social conditions of the plasma farmers fall into the "good" category. Economic and social factors have a positive and significant influence on institutional performance and sustainable oil palm plantations. Social factors exert a significant indirect influence on sustainable oil palm plantations through the institutional performance moderating variable. An R-Square value of 0.705 and a Q-Square value of 0.846 indicate that the model possesses good explanatory power and relevance. KeywordsEconomic Factors, Social Factors, Sustainable, PLS
