Abstract

Why do elementary school students in Sidoarjo tend to have changeable behavior in terms of reading and borrowing books in the school library? This paper describes the mimetic mechanism of Rene Girard in activities in the library, namely borrowing books and reading with the teacher. Data was collected by reading the 2019-2020 Quarterly Report, especially data on borrowing books from 10 elementary schools for 6 months, selecting 2 photos of reading aloud activities, and interviewing 5 teacher informants. Specifically, in interviews, the 5 informants were included in a joint evaluation meeting with 120 participants first, then were interviewed in depth separately. The three types of data were analyzed based on 4 themes derived from the theory of Mimetic Desire with a mixed approach (mixed method research). Data validation was analyzed by triangulation of data sources and triangulation of methods. The findings in this study provide a thematic description based on Rene Girard's Mimetic Desire theory that elementary school students in Sidoarjo tend to have behavior that changes according to the mimetic mechanism in reading and borrowing books in the library.

Abstract

This research is Entitled The Effectiveness Of Online Learning After The Covid-10 Pandemic In The Informatics Engineering Study Program at Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi YBS Internasional. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of online learning after the covid-19 pandemic in the Informatics Engineering Study Program at Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Ybs Internasional. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a population of 15o students of the Informatics Engineering Study Program starting from class of 2018 to 2022 which is applied to the Odd Semester of the academic year 2022-2023. The number of sample amount 60 students and it was taken by using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data coolection was obtained by distributing questionnaires using the assist of Google Form which consists of 21 statement items. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis using a percentage calculation formula with the assist of Microsoft Office Excel. The result of the research shows that the Online Learning After the Covid-19 Pandemic in the Informatics Engineering Study Program was classified as effective. This can be seen from the quality learning indicator of 78,10%, the learning level compliance of 78,67%, the incentive of 77,80% and the time indicator of 82,44% with all average is 78,81% and it is categorized as efevtive.

Abstract

Oral literature is always interesting to be the subject of scientific study. Folklore that has spread almost throughout the region of South Sumatra is still not much used as an object of serious research, even though it contains noble values that can be a guide in living life as individuals, social beings, and God's creatures. This study aims to determine the structure and cultural values of the folklore of South Sumatra. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using an objective approach that will present the data according to what was found. Based on the results of data analysis carried out on five folk tales originating from five districts/cities in South Sumatra, it was found that there were variations in themes, plots, characters, and settings in each story, as well as 32 cultural values in it which were divided into three forms of relationships, namely human relationship with himself, human relationship with the environment and human relationship with the Creator. These thirty-two values are still very relevant to the current situation

Abstract

Baris Tanda is a new dance with the theme of heroism about widyadaras. The sign comes from the word tamanwa which means the first dance of Lord Rudra. The Wa Sign in the Kesiman Traditional Village is interpreted as a Sign, one of the properties of Pengarebongan and Sapuh Agung during the Pangilen ceremony at Pura Agung Petilan. The Baris Tanda dance, which is danced by seven male dancers, represents a combination of the Mantra Puja Dynamics and Mudras contained in the Bratha Natyam book. This dashing dance is presented in the form of a group dance with a smoky composition, rows and circles accompanied by Gamelan Semarandana digital music. This newly created dance was created using the Angripta Sesolahan creation method (creating dances) with the planning, nasen, makalin, nelesin, and grain processes. This dance work was created in the framework of the Merdeka Learning-Independence Campus Program, a collaboration between the Indonesian Art Institute and the Pancer Langit Art Studio.

Abstract

Clothing is a very important factor in Balinese Dance. Seeing this development, of course, requires quality improvement and adequate facilities, for example: stage venues, quality production, music arrangements and what is no less important is the design of clothing to support the character of each role. To appear on stage or stage shows, the role of clothing determines the success of a show, therefore this part is growing rapidly in line with the development of the show. This study uses a qualitative method. Based on this research, a conclusion can be drawn that; The symbolic value of Balinese dance clothing in performing arts can essentially provide identity and strengthen the character of a role. Clothing as something that is important in a performance is closely related to the use of other elements such as the dance movements used.

Abstract

This study aims to be able to understand and explain the existence of the Baris Dadap Dance and the Baris Arrow Dance in Kerta Mandala Village. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. The data sources for this research were the performance of the Baris Dadap Dance and the Baris Panah Dance itself, the elders, the administrators of the Maksan Ngis Temple, community leaders, the Maksan Ngis Temple community, Kerta Mandala Village, who were selected based on purposive sampling and snowball techniques. All data that has been collected through observation, interviews, and literature studies is analyzed using structural-functional theory and religious theory. The results showed that the Baris Dadap Dance and the Baris Panah Dance which are performed every six months, to be precise at every Tumpek Kuningan at Maksan Ngis Temple, Kerta Mandala Village, are ceremonial dances. This can be seen from the process of presentation, the variety of movements, the structure of the performance, the fashion make-up, and the musical accompaniment of the performance. Until now, the people of Kerta Mandala Village continue to preserve these two sacred dances because these dances function as ceremonial dances which are presented at every piodalan ceremony of Ida Meraga Taksu Baris Dadap and Baris Panah in Kerta Mandala Village. Apart from functioning as ceremonial dances, the two ceremonial dances are preserved because they function as binders of social relations for the local community.

Abstract

This istudy iaimsi to describei how the use of learning media to increase student interest in learning and describe the efforts and problems that occur in increasing student interest in learning. To achieve the goals of Islamic education, in the learning process the teacher should use learning media to make the learning process more interesting and easy for students to understand. Islamic Religious Education Learning Media is everything that can be used to convey materials and materials about Islam to students so that the Muslim personality is realized in accordance with the values ​​contained in Islam. The characteristics of Islamic learning media can be classified into graphic media, audio media and silent projection media. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is an effort to prepare students to understand, believe, be pious, have noble character, and carry out Islamic religious teachingsi that have been taught from the main source, namely the holy book al-Quran and al-Hadith, through guidance, teaching activities. , training, iand iimplementing religiousi knowledge iin daily ilife. Abstract

Batik is one of the many Indonesian cultural heritages worldwide and has become a hallmark of Indonesian society. Every Batik contains meaning. Meaning in signs is also called semiotics. This article aims to clarify the semiotic meaning of the colors and motives of the Riau Islands Batik. The researcher took the data from the interpretation of the Riau Islands' cultural symbols by the locals. In clarifying the data, the researcher was done by using qualitative methods. The result showed the semiotic meaning of Batik and how the interpretation of the Riau Islands recognized the cultural values of Batik. For practical purposes, the research results are expected to promote the culture of the Riau Islands and its characteristics for Indonesia and the international community. It is also hoped to provide knowledge about the ornaments of Riau Island to the community, especially the people of the Riau Islands, so that the cultural heritage is not lost. The data were analyzed by using Charles Sanders Pierce.

Abstract

The problem in this research is focused on the Implementation of Strengthening class-based character education according to Permendikbud Number 20 of 2018 article 6. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. This research activity was carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The type of qualitative data is data obtained from observations, interviews and documentation through school principals, vice principals, subject teachers, homeroom teachers and students. Based on the research conducted, it was found that SMP Negeri 2 Biak kota, which is a superior school in Biak-Numfor Regency with Accreditation A, has implemented the Implementation of Strengthening class-based character education, it only needs to be improved, this is indicated by facilities and infrastructure that must be equipped, more optimized as well as the professionalism of subject teachers in compiling and implementing the values of strengthening class-based character education (learning tools/RPP), it is important to maximize this evaluation, support from school management must be further improved, through collaboration with teachers and parents, as well as the consistency of subject teachers in implementing and evaluating the values of strengthening character education in the classroom. The conclusion in this study is that the efforts of teachers and school management in shaping the character of students in schools must be further improved through more adequate facilities and infrastructure, workshops and seminars attended by teachers as well as active school management in managing student talent and competency agendas. Routinely.

Abstract

Teachers play crucial roles to promote students’ critical ability in managing information, such as integrating digital literacy skills in the learning process as a source of English learning. Therefore, teachers’ competence in digital literacy is significant. One of the competencies is a security aspect, which refers to the competence in maintaining the security of personal and other users' data. This study aims to describe the perceptions of the eighty English teachers in Batam City, Indonesia, on the security in digital literacy competence. The method of this study was descriptive qualitative research. The data collection was done by distributing online questionnaires and conducting structured interviews. It investigated the perception of the teachers toward their competence in the security aspect (personal protection, data protection, digital identity protection, and using security securely and sustainably). The result found that 86% of respondents stated that they can take security measures on digital devices and personal data during the use of digital devices in the teaching and learning process
