Abstract

This study aims to investigate digital-based learning as an effort to improve the quality of PAI learning. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of exploratory study to reveal contemporary phenomena which are then explored and identified. The data collected comes from primary data through interviews and observations at SMA Negeri 15 and SMA Alfa Centauri Bandung. The results of this study indicate that digital-based learning infrastructure in supporting PAI learning in schools consists of wifi, a set of computers or laptops, interactive screens, and CCTV. While the PAI learning process can be carried out digitally in classrooms and computer laboratories starting from planning, implementing, and evaluating. This research has implications for the importance of using information technology to improve the quality of Islamic religious education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on SPLTV material. The subjects of this research were class X SMA Kristen Kasih Kemuliaan West Jakarta, academic year 2022/2023. This type of research was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The instrument used to measure students' mathematical problem solving abilities is student learning outcomes through a pre-test at the pre-cycle and post-test at the end of each cycle. The results of this study indicate that the application of the PBL learning model used with indicators of understanding the problem, discussing in groups to plan a solution, and explaining/checking the correctness of the answers obtained can improve students' problem solving abilities. This was proven by an increase in the percentage of students who were able to achieve the KKM obtained from the post-test in cycle I and cycle II compared to the results of the pre-test in the pre-cycle. In the pre-cycle the percentage of students who were able to achieve KKM from the pre-test results was 20.68%, the first cycle post-test results were 41.72%, and the second cycle post-test results were 86.20%. Thus the use of the PBL learning model can be used as a learning model to be applied to learning mathematics.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine self-learning using mobile-based to help children enrich their English vocabularies. This learning process used an apps called ‘English for Children’ (Bahasa Inggris Untuk Anak). It consists of twenty (20) vocabulary categories. They are Alphabet, Numbers, Colors, Shapes, Family, Body parts, Days of the week, Months of the year, Fruits, Vegetables, Animals, Birds, Food, Clothes, Kitchen, Bathroom, Living room, School, Sports, and Professions. Every word category is followed by four (4) learning sections such as ‘Learn’, ‘Writing’, ‘Find the word’, and ‘Find the picture’. Every section is served with pictures (visualization). Exercises can also be found in the ‘Writing’, ‘Find the word’, and ‘Find the picture’ sections as a benchmark of learning progress. The participants were 10 children age 10-11 years old. This type of learning was using student-centered model. The qualitative research method is used in this research. The systematic analysis of textual data was obtained via interviews, surveys, focus groups and diary entries. The result can be seen through the score of the exercise. Surprisingly, the score has risen significantly. Children could pass the exercise easily with the help of pictures. It means that by applying learning English vocabularies through mobile-based self-learning indicated that there was any significant difference before and after using this method.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate whether or not Google Earth has an influence on Layout and Floor Plan Material for Grade IV Students at SD Negeri 02 Papahan Tasikmadu in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. In addition, it is also to find out whether there are obstacles and benefits of Google Earth Media for Layout and Floor Plan Material for Class IV Students at SD Negeri 02 Papahan Tasikmadu for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This research has a population of 32 students from Class IV A, namely SD Negeri 02 Papahan Tasikmadu for the 2022/2023 academic year with a saturated sampling technique. Furthermore, the data collection techniques used are observation and learning achievement tests. Observation is used to observe students' initial conditions before being given treatment and learning outcomes tests in the form of multiple choice questions after being given treatment. The analysis technique is carried out in 2 ways, namely: from the prerequisite test and the t-test. The prerequisite test consists of the normality test and homogeneity test. Meanwhile, the t-test uses the Paired Sample T-test. Analysis of the use of the t-test formula in the form of a Paired Sample T-Test yields, if a significant value is 0.001 > 0.05, it can be said that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. In addition, the value of tcount = 16.030 can be compared with the value of ttable with the value of dk = (N-1) then (32-1) = 29 at a level at a significance level of 5% will have a ttable value of 2.042. When compared tcount and ttable then 16.030 > 2.042. Alternative hypothesis (Ha), is accepted if tcount > ttable. The next hypothesis could be "the influence of Google Earth media on Layout and Floor Plan Material in Grade IV Students at SD Negeri 02 Papahan Tasikmadu for the Academic Year 2022/2023" at a significance level of 5%.

Abstract

This study aims to provide empirical evidence on the influence of teaching, research, citation, and industry income variables on the international outlook of universities in Indonesia. The study uses a multiple linear regression approach, using data from the World University Ranking provided by The Times Higher Education. The sample consists of Indonesian universities listed in the World University Ranking during the period from 2019 to 2023. The results show a significant positive impact of teaching and industry income variables on the international outlook of universities. However, the study also reveals that research and citation variables do not have a significant impact on the international outlook of universities.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out whether the use of Disney movies can help EFL college students to increase their listening skill and their perception toward the Disney movie. There are four research questions that are the purpose of this research: 1. What does EFL college students’ perception about the use of Disney movies as a tool in increasing their listening skill? 2. Does learning through feature movies (Disney) considered effective for EFL Students? 3. What are the benefits of using Disney movies as a tool in increasing listening skill? 4. What are the disadvantages of using Disney movies as a tool in increasing listening skill? This was quantitative research. The data was collected through an online questionnaire that was given to EFL college students from public and private universities in Indonesia. A total of 77 respondents participated in this study. The findings of this research showed that EFL college students that used Disney movies as their learning media had increased their listening skill and gained confidence and motivation in learning the English language.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakang oleh kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa pada saat pembelajaran , sehingga hasil belajar mahasiswa semakin menurun dilihat dari kreativitas dalam membuat sanggul modern. Oleh karena itu dosen memberikan contoh video tutorial sanggul modern. Video tutorial adalah suatu gambaran yang didalamnya berisikan materi agar peserta didik dapat memahami materi yang telah didemonstrasikan oleh dosen, Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian R&D. Tahap pengembangan menggunakan 4 D yaitu define , design, develop dan dessiminate. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu video tutorial dapat dikatakan valid dan praktis dalam media pembelajaran sanggul modern. Abstract

Education is an effort to prepare human resources who have expertise and skills according to the demands of nation building, the quality of a nation is very effective in the use of educational factors. The realization of a quality society is the responsibility of education, especially in preparing students who are creative, independent, and professional in their respective fields. This study discusses the use of the cooperative script model on student learning outcomes in the material to identify the requirements for installing floor and wall tiles, natural stone and artificial stone. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes on the material to identify the requirements for installing floor and wall tiles, natural stone and artificial stone. This study uses a quantitative approach. This type of research is a true experimental research design with a post-test only control design. The population in this study were all students of class XII KGSP, totaling 28 students. As for the sample in this study used random sampling. The research conducted interviews, observations, documentation and tests to obtain data. The results of the study stated that the learning outcomes of class XII KGSP students who used the cooperative script learning model were in the good category with an average score of 70 and the learning outcomes of students who did not use the cooperative script model were in the sufficient or low category with an average score of 49.

Abstract

This research is entitled Guidance and Counseling Service Program Design in Overcoming Student Learning Problems in Class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. Thesis, Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Pgri University, West Sumatra, Padang, 2023. This research is motivated by the problems students face while studying. The research aims to describe: students' learning problems in aspects 1.) Lack of enthusiasm for learning 2.) Saturated 3.) Lazy 4.) Procrastinating assignments 5.) Hating teachers. 6.) do not want to ask. As well as designing programs based on the analysis of the problems faced by students. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study was 252 students of SMA Negeri 5 Padang. The sampling technique used random sampling technique as many as 72 people. The instrument used is the questionnaire. Data analysis using percentage technique. Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that: 1.) Lack of enthusiasm for learning is in the very high category 2.) Saturation is in the high category 3.) Lazy is in the fairly high category 4.) Procrastinating assignments is in the fairly high category 5.) Hates the teacher is in the very high category. 6.) Do not want to ask is in the high category. The design of the Guidance and Counseling Service Program in Overcoming student learning problems at SMA Negeri 5 Padang in the form of information services with the topic of questioning skills and increasing self-confidence, group guidance with the topic of time management material and bibliotherapy with the topic of learning skills. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that counseling teachers be able to overcome learning problems by trying out the material designed through this research.

Abstract

The problem in this research is motivated by the presence of PGRI University West Sumatra BK Study Program students who have not been able to make decisions or carry out activities that support career planning. This study aims to uncover and reveal and describe the level of student career maturity. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, with a sample of 67 students from batch 2019 at PGRI University, West Sumatra. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the percentage technique of the average. The results of the study revealed that career maturity in college students is generally in a fairly high category with a percentage of 32.84%. For this reason, there is a need for special studies and attention related to efforts to achieve the level of student career maturity through various forms of career guidance services.
