Abstract

Information is increasingly realized that it has become a resource that needs to be managed very well. This is due to increasingly complex business and organizational activities. In addition, the ability to understand computers must be better and be able to provide convenience to users to make information processing easier, faster and more precise. Understanding information for an organization must be complex, especially regarding understanding a system within an agency. Such as the management of the insurance service development information system at PT Jasindo (Persero) Jambi City. The information system at PT Jasindo (Persero) Jambi Branch Office has used a computerized method that is structured in such a way as to produce good and relevant data so that there are no errors between the decision maker and the system used.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool that can convey a message to someone, the message conveyed is expected to be easily understood and adapted to needs. Vocational High School students have learning needs, one of which is a learning style, namely Audio Visual and Visual. The media studied in this study are Audio-visual and visual media, such as animation-based media, YouTube, interactive videos, Prezi, Android-based and others to support teachers in the learning process. The usefulness of this research is to find out how the effectiveness of learning media is on student learning outcomes. This type of research is meta-analysis with quantitative procedures. The information was gathered from 20 journals that were found on Google Scholar and Sinta. The value of 2.30 is in the very high category according to the effects size analysis based on the audio-visual media type category, and the visual effect size media type is in the very high category with a value of 1.37. had a very high category average effect size of 1.85. According to data analysis findings, students' learning outcomes in vocational schools are significantly impacted by the usage of audio-visual technology in the classroom.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rampant cases of corruption that occur in Indonesia. In this research, it aims to find novelty from previous research related to the formation and legal impact of the implementation of the 2nd revision of the KPK Law. The results of the study show that the birth of the Corruption Eradication Commission Law is a legal political embodiment of bureaucratic reform in eradicating KKN in government agencies. KPK as a law enforcement agency should not need to be dichotomized and included in a partial branch of power because of its independent function. The transition of employment status from KPK Employees to ASNs who have to go through the TWK stages which do not have objective standards resulting in the dismissal of some KPK employees is a form of constitutional loss due to the second amendment to the KPK Law. Thus, the dismissed KPK employee in order to restore his constitutional rights can submit a judicial review of the second amendment to the KPK Law to the Constitutional Court as a form of public participation in the field of oversight.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) improve students' abilities in constructing their own concepts learned, (2) improve student learning outcomes in class 9 of SMP Negeri 2 Sukodadi on the subject matter of congruence flats. The subject of this research is class 9A students of SMP Negeri 2 Sukodadi Lamongan semester 2 academic year 2018/2019. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out using 2 cycles and each cycle consists of 3 meetings. In the implementation of this learning, students always create conflicts through observing pictures and other mathematical objects. Meanwhile, to resolve cognitive conflicts, students try to find out from other learning materials/sources. The results of this classroom action research, (1) Learning with cognitive conflict strategies in each cycle and at each meeting for each aspect of observation shows significant positive changes; (2) the average score of student learning outcomes increased from 77.1 to 78.2; (3) the percentage of classical learning mastery students increased from 65.6% to 81.3%. In addition, those who like the way of teaching teachers with cognitive conflict strategies have also increased. These results indicate that through learning with the KoKom strategy, students are able to understand the concept of congruent shapes well and are able to apply it to solve problems related to congruent shapes

Abstract

From the existence of several laying chicken farms in Pucung Lor Village, Ngantru District, it is hoped that it will play a role in improving the economy of the local village community. This study aims to reveal what roles these farms play in improving the economy of the Pucung Lor village community. The method used is descriptive qualitative. This research focuses on the role given by livestock to improve the economy of the local village community. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out in the field using observation techniques by conducting interviews regarding from an economic perspective what kind of benefits have been obtained from the existence of these farms, then the data was compressed and translated. In improving the economy, livestock provide a role as a provider of employment, increase community income, support the development of local community entrepreneurs. Apart from having a role in the development of the local village economy, these laying hen farms also continue to update their innovations, especially in the field of technology to support the progress of their livestock business and carry out social activities to support community welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the applicability of the concept of matching or matching concept as well as examine the meaning of costs in the tradition of "sida perkawinan (wedding donation)" that occurs in Manggarai from an accounting perspective. Manggarai is one of the districts in East Nusa Tenggara which also has a culture of payment obligations called "sida perkawinan". This study used qualitative methods through observation and in-depth interviews with community groups in Manggarai. The results of the study show that the concept of matching or matching concepts does not apply in the culture of the “sida perkawinanan” because the meaning of cost in the “sida perkawinan” has a higher meaning, namely the value of kinship and tolerance where the elements of love, affection, caring for togetherness, solidarity, mutual assistance, and brotherhood are values ​​that are hidden behind the costs for the “sida perkawinan” and in this culture of the “sida perkawinan” Anak wina do not expect profit or benefits for the obligations that have been incurred.

Abstract

The phenomenon of decreasing social values in the society, as depicted in the Gojek ad campaign "Don't Underestimate the Power of a Thumb," illustrates social values that can inspire the community to use a thumb as a symbol of appreciation for valuable but forgotten contributions. The goal of this research was to understand the social values present in the ad and then analyze the audience's understanding of those social values. This research is a descriptive qualitative study using the interpretive paradigm with Roland Barthes' semiotics theory. The data collection methods used were observation and interview. Three types of social values were found: Material Value, Vital Value, and Spiritual Value. The Roland Barthes semiotic analysis revealed 17 scenes in the ad with broad meanings. The results of the research showed the audience's understanding of the social values in the ad as follows: a) increasing the audience's awareness of concern in their surroundings, b) providing education and literacy to the audience on social media platforms, c) improving the economic quality of life, particularly for small merchants and lower-middle-class drivers.

Abstract

Field Work Practice (PKL) is a means of self-actualization of some skills or skills, both soft skills and hard skills that have been acquired during lectures, applied in an agency or company for several months. In this street vendor report, several work implementation activities are presented, findings of obstacles or problems and proposed solutions to obstacles or problems encountered at the PT.Plasa Telkom Group Jambi Agency for 2 months, namely August 29 2022 to October 28 2022. Placement of street vendors in this agency the author is placed in the Data Management Help Desk work area in this division, ensuring that the data administration process is reliable, easily accessible, and up-to-date in terms of time. This process includes the acquisition, validation, storage and protection, monitoring and careful processing of necessary data. Based on the implementation of Field Work Practices at PT.Plasa Telkom Group Jambi, it can be concluded that the author gets an overview of the application of knowledge or theory that has been obtained in lectures, gains new experience in adapting to the world of work by communicating well and the author gains insight and knowledge about the world of work.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to: 1) Determine students' responses after the application of video media, 2) Determine student learning outcomes after the application of video media. This research is a pre-experimental study using a quantitative descriptive method which was conducted in Class X Fashion Design at SMK Dharma Wanita Gresik for the 2021/2022 academic year, with a total of 10 students. Data collection methods used in the form of tests and questionnaires. The results showed that: 1. The students' response to the application of video media received a very positive response with a total average of 4.3, 2. Student learning outcomes after the application of video media were in 100% completeness with student scores ≥75. The findings of this research are that the application of video media to the competency in making sketch designs according to the collage concept in class X Fashion at SMK Dharma Wanita Gresik was declared successful, because students could understand the material better, be enthusiastic, and be active during learning and influence learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe strategies for building leadership character in students through the Scout extracurricular at SMP Negeri 8 Surabaya. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The theory used in this research is Thomas Lickona's character education theory. Data collection techniques in this study used in-depth interviews and observation. Informants in this study consisted of school principals, vice principals for student affairs, Scoutmasters and units, and students. The data analysis technique in this study used the Miles and Huberman model which consisted of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results obtained in this study indicate that the strategy for building leadership character in students through the Scout extracurricular at SMP Negeri 8 Surabaya is (1) Providing exemplary leadership of Scoutmasters using the among system, (2) Leadership training for students includes character building, team building, and problem solving, (3) Implementation of the team system in Scout extracurricular activities, and (4) Application of rolling leaders in Scout extracurricular activities. Through this strategy, the leadership character according to the teachings of Ki Hajar Dewantara consisting of Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha, Ing Madya Mangun Karsa, and Tut Wuri Handayani can be formed in students.
