Abstract

This research aims to analyze the feasibility of a problem-based digital pocketbook on the System of Two Variable Linear Equations (SPLDV) material developed in terms of its validity, attractiveness, practicality and effectiveness of use in facilitating mathematical problem-solving abilities. Product development using the ADDIE model was carried out in class VIII of SMP Negeri 7 Tulang Bawang Barat. Questionnaire and test techniques were used for data collection. The validation results for material experts obtained a score of 4.53, media experts 4.50 and language experts 4.36, which shows valid criteria. The average student response was 4.55 or interesting, and the teacher response was 4.83 or practical. From the evaluation results of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities after implementation, it is known that classical learning completeness reached 91% or very high. It can be concluded that problem-based digital pocketbooks are suitable for use as learning media to facilitate mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine how the problem posing approach in learning mathematics can improve mathematical critical thinking skills. This type of research is Quasi experimental with Post Test Only Control Group design. The population in this study were VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Bandar Lampung. The cluster random sampling method was used to select sample members from the population without considering the students' ability level. The results showed that the problem posing approach with steps to create mathematical situations, formulate mathematical questions, solve mathematical problems, and apply mathematical concepts has a relationship with indicators of mathematical critical thinking skills. Indicators of critical thinking skills include interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. So, it can be concluded, students' mathematical critical thinking skills can be improved using the problem posing approach.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a literary review regarding corner learning using Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI). The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The data in this research is information on learning angles using (PMRI) taken from selected articles. The articles used as data sources in this research are 6 articles with the criteria being (1) the content being taught is about angles, (2) using the PMRI approach, (3) using the design research method, (4) the articles come from reputable and indexed journals. Sinta and Scopus. Based on the results of the study, it was found that (1) the initial problem in the research was students' misconceptions about the concept of angles, (2) the use of the PMRI context can bridge students in understanding the context of angles, (3) learning activities produce local instructional theory (LIT), (4) research results state that learning becomes more meaningful because students learn from real situations.

Abstract

The Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is an assessment designed to measure the literacy and numeracy skills needed by all students in developing themselves and actively participating in society and to prepare students to face the 21st century. The urgency of developing math learning outcomes assessment questions by teachers or educators it is deemed necessary to prepare students to face various literacy tests both on a national and international scale. This development resulted in a variation of 4 items for number content with ascientific, cultural, and personal context. The questions developed are in the form of multiple choice and complex multiple choice which ask for evidence/reasons in answering the questions. The questions developed are valid based on the validity of the content carried out by fellow teachers. This development provides a variety of AKM practice questions and initial ideas for developing meaningful assessment of learning outcomes in a particular context.

Abstract

Technology has rapidly developed across various fields, including education, which has been significantly impacted by technological advancements. The development of computer technology can be utilized to assist in creating effective learning media. This research aims to develop web-based interactive learning media using an ethnomathematics approach for teaching flat-sided space shapes to eighth-grade junior high school students. The development model employed in this study is the 4-D or 4-P model, which was modified into three stages: the definition stage (define), the design stage (design), and the development stage (develop). The research subjects consisted of 15 students from SMP Swasta Budi Agung Medan. The instruments used in this research included expert material assessment questionnaires, expert media assessment questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The findings revealed that the developed web-based interactive learning media with an ethnomathematics approach received a score of 93% from expert media validators, indicating that the media is highly valid. Expert material validators gave a score of 87%, classifying it as very good or highly valid. Meanwhile, the student response assessment showed an average score of 86%, indicating that the media was highly engaging and met the required criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a scientific-based elementary school mathematics learning module for students of the PGSD study program at PGRI Silampari University that is valid, practical and has potential effects. The research method used is development research with a 4D development model, consisting of the stages of Define, Design, Development and Disseminate. The instruments used to answer the research objectives are the validation questionnaire, practicality questionnaire, and Test. The data in this study were analyzed using the Aiken V and N-Gain formulas. development of a scientific-based elementary school mathematics learning development module in semester V of the PGSD Study Program at PGRI Silampari University, so it was concluded that from the three validators, namely language experts, material experts and media experts, an overall value of 0.91 was obtained. For the practicality test stage of lecturers and students with an overall percentage of 93.18. While for the effectiveness test stage after being analyzed by the researcher, a percentage value of 0.52 was obtained, therefore the scientific-based elementary school mathematics learning development module is feasible to use.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the the concept and application of understanding by design as a backward design curriculum for mathematics learning in Indonesia. The articles used as the core review source for this research were 5 articles that had a reputation of SINTA standards. From the results of the review, it was found the understanding, role and steps of UbD as an integral part of learning in Indonesia today. In mathematics learning, which is often a problem for students, the problem can be overcome by creating effective and interesting learning through learning with the UbD framework. Of course, the teacher's role as designer and facilitator has had a big influence, even though UbD is given the freedom to determine the direction of the material, this does not mean that the teacher underestimates the characteristics of students as well as their learning styles and interests. The conclusion of this research is to show the main focus in the understanding by design approach, namely emphasizing the desired results (learning objectives).

Abstract

The knowledge that is always being developed is knowledge about mathematics. Mathematics is a science that can train a person's thinking and logical abilities. Apart from that, research also focuses on other research in everyday life, especially the science of problem solving. Mathematics education is about connecting, designing, and creative learning. Sometimes studying mathematics in class can feel scary compared to other subjects, especially when it involves shapes. Abstract shapes have three-dimensional geometric concepts such as cubes, blocks, pyramids, prisms, cylinders and balls which are not easily understood with explanations or two-dimensional drawings. To overcome this problem, teachers should use teaching methods that increase students' conceptual understanding and make learning problem-based (PBL). The subject of this research is class VI of SD IT Uswatun Hasanah Padang Jaya. There are 29 students. The results of the research showed that 82.86% of students felt happy, so it was concluded that the use of PBL in mathematics education made students motivated in learning, especially class VI Bilal SD IT Uswatun Hasanah Padang Jaya.

Abstract

The culture that develops in society can be used as material for learning mathematics. This scientific article was prepared using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. SLR is a method for identifying, reviewing and concluding several studies related to the themes discussed. The articles studied were 18 articles related to the development of LKPD based on an ethnomathematics approach in mathematics learning, which came from the Google Schoolar database from 2015-2024. The results of the article review show that ethnomathematics is a study that can be applied to LKPD in mathematics learning. This is from research that ethnomathematics can improve students' abilities. Several cultural variations can be displayed in ethnomathematics, such as traditional games, building forms, traditional food, traditional houses and activities from traditional villages.
