Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce a digital mathematics learning module based on an open-ended approach to mathematics learning. This type of research is development research with an Open - Ended model. The steps include presenting the problem, designing the lesson, paying attention to and recording student responses, guiding and directing students and making conclusions. The subjects in this research were class VII junior high school students. The results of this research show that digital learning modules based on an open-ended approach can improve students' creative mathematical thinking, this is based on the test results obtained.

Abstract

In this era, many children are actively playing online games, and teachers can use this as an aid in learning mathematics. Mathematics learning often uses context in everyday life through a real approach. This approach is known as Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI), where learning is carried out in a real-world context. A study was conducted to evaluate the use of PMRI-based word-wall educational games as a mathematics learning tool to increase students' understanding and interest in learning. The research method used was a Systematic Literature Review, which collected data from 2015 to 2024 by analyzing 29 articles from Google Scholar. The research results show that the use of PMRI-based Word-wall educational games can improve students' learning outcomes, motivation, understanding and interest in learning

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the Problem based learning model assisted by poster media can improve elementary school students' Mathematics learning outcomes. The research was carried out at SD Negeri 41 Lubuklinggau. This type of research is classroom action research. Data collection techniques are carried out using tests, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. This research consists of 3 cycles with research procedures using the Problem based learning model which includes planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The results of the research show that there has been an increase in Mathematics learning outcomes for class III students at SD Negeri 41 Lubuklinggau. In cycle I, students obtained an average pre-test score of 57,73 and post-test 71,47. Cycle 2 average value of pre-test 64.09 and post-test 77,.45. Cycle 3 average value of pre-test 65,73 and post-test 88,09. From the research results, it was concluded that Problem Based Learning can improve elementary school students' Mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students' mathematical problem-solving skills through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in the topic of quadratic equations. The research was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model, consisting of two cycles with the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 18 eleventh-grade students from a vocational high school (SMK) in Sleman. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, with the average score increasing from 75 in Cycle I to 84.72 in Cycle II. The PBL model proved effective in enhancing problem-solving skills. Challenges encountered during Cycle I, such as students' difficulties in understanding problems and lack of participation in group activities, were successfully addressed in Cycle II through improvements, including clearer visualizations in the Student Worksheets and more heterogeneous group arrangements. This study concludes that PBL is an effective teaching model for fostering meaningful learning and improving students' learning outcomes in the topic of quadratic equations.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept and application of the demonstration-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model in junior high school mathematics learning. The articles used as a source of review are 9 articles that have been published in accredited national journals. From the results of the review, findings were obtained. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SRL) method, which is carried out through the stages of identifying, reviewing, exploring, and interpreting all reference articles that have been collected. Based on the literature review that has been conducted, it shows the relevance of the demonstration-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in an effort to improve student learning skills

Abstract

This research aims to improve elementary school students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by using a Problem Based Learning Model. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 54 Lubuklinggau. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the research subjects being 25 students in class Vb of SD Negeri 54 Lubuklinggau. Data collection techniques use test, observation and documentation methods. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. The research consists of two cycles and each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The results of this research show that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, namely from cycle I to cycle II by 24.25% from the poor to good category. With this it can be concluded that the Problem Based learning model can be used as an alternative learning model.
