Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap gambaran masyarakat pesisir Indramayu yang terdapat dalam cerita pendek “Lelaki yang Tubuhnya Habis Dimakan Ikan-Ikan Kecil”. Penelitian ini menggabungkan analisis sruktural (tema, konflik social, dan latar) dan sosiologi sastra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) tema dalam kumpulan cerita pendek “Lelaki yang Tubuhnya Habis di Makan Ikan-Ikan Kecil” didominasi oleh persoalan tentang kehilangan yang dialami oleh tokoh yang berasal dari masyarakat pesisir Indramayu. Kehilangan yang dimaksud adalah kehilangan keluarga, harta benda, identitas dan budaya, dan lain-lain; 2) konflik yang terjadi dalam kumpulan cerita pendek “Lelaki yang Tubuhnya Habis di Makan Ikan-Ikan Kecil” adalah konfli realis dan non realis. Konflik realis itu adalah konflik individu dengan dirinya sendiri, konflik individu dengan individu, dan konflik individu dengan kelompok. Konflik realis itu digerakkan oleh konflik non realis yang berasal dari suasana dan lingkungan. Kemiskinan, bencana, perbedaan kelas, praktik ijon, nilai-nilai tradisi dan kebudayaan mendorong tokoh untuk memiliki konflik dengan batin, individu, serta kelompok yang ada di lingkungannya; 3) latar tempat yang terdapat dalam cerita pendek “Lelaki yang Tubuhnya Habis Dimakan Ikan-Ikan Kecil” berada di daerah pesisir Indramayu. Pesisir Indramayu itu terbagi atas beberapa daerah seperti Karangsong dan Limbangan, Kali Cimanuk, Pantai Purwa dan Desa Muara Angin. Latar lain adalah di bibir pantai, hutan bakau, rumah, guang, dll. Latar suasana didominasi oleh suasana sedih. Latar waktu didominasi oleh waktu sore/senja; 4) wajah Indramayu dalam kumpulan cerita pendek “Lelaki yang Tubuhnya Habis Dimakan Ikan-Ikan Kecil” adalah wajah sedih dan muram. Wajah sedih dan muram itu ditunjukkan dengan banyaknya cerita pendek yang mengangkat tentang persoalan kehilangan, baik itu kehilangan keluarga, saudara, harta benda, identitas, kebudayaan, maupun nilai-nilai.Kata Kunci        : Tema, Konflik, Latar, Wajah Indramayu, Cerita Pendek ABSTRACTThis study aims to reveal the description of the Indramayu coastal community in the short story "Men whose bodies have been eaten by small fish". This research combines structural analysis (themes, social conflicts, and settings) and the sociology of literature. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. The results of this study are: 1) the theme in the collection of short stories "The Man whose Body Is Out of Eating Small Fish" is dominated by the problem of loss experienced by figures from the coastal communities of Indramayu. The loss in question is the loss of family, property, identity, and culture, etc .; 2) the conflict that occurred in the short story collection "The Man Who Was Consumed by Eating Small Fish" was a realist and non-realist conflict. Realist conflict is an individual conflict with himself, an individual conflict with an individual, and an individual conflict with a group. Realist conflicts are driven by non-realist conflicts originating from the atmosphere and the environment. Poverty, disasters, class differences, bonded labor practices, traditional and cultural values encourage leaders to have conflicts with their hearts, individuals, and groups in their environment; 3) the setting in the short story "The Man Who Was Eaten by Small Fish" is in the coastal area of Indramayu. The Indramayu coast is divided into several areas such as Karangsong and Limbangan, Cimanuk River, Purwa Beach and Muara Angin Village. Other settings are on the shoreline, mangrove forests, houses, gangs, etc. The atmosphere is dominated by a sad atmosphere. The time setting is dominated by evening/twilight; 4) Indramayu's face in a collection of short stories "The Man whose Body Was Eaten by Small Fish" is sad and gloomy. The sad and gloomy face is shown by the many short stories that raise the issue of loss, whether it is the loss of family, siblings, property, identity, culture, or values.Keywords: Theme, Conflict, Background, Face of Indramayu, Short Story

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kumpulan puisi Negeri Daging karya A. Mustofa Bisri. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa satuan estetik berupa satuan gramatikal (kalimat) dalam kumpulan puisi Negeri Daging karya A. Mustofa Bisri. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan catat. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitiannya, terdapat lima nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kumpulan puisi Negeri Daging karya A. Mustofa Bisri yaitu nilai toleransi, cinta tanah air, nilai penghargaan prestasi, nilai peduli sosial, dan nilai demokrasi. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah kumpulan puisi Negeri Daging karya A. Mustafa Bisri memiliki banyak nilai pendidikan karakter yang dapat diambil dan diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari agar terbiasa dengan karakter yang baik. Kata Kunci: Nilai Pendidikan Karakter, Kumpulan Puisi Negeri Daging Karya A. Mustofa Bisri                ABSTRACTThis study aims at describing the character education values in the poetry collection Negeri Daging by A. Mustofa Bisri. This research is descriptive qualitative. The data of this research are in the form of aesthetic units in the form of grammatical units (sentences) in the poetry collection Negeri Daging by A. Mustofa Bisri. Data collection techniques used are observation and note-taking. The data analysis of this research used descriptive qualitative technique. The results of his research, there are five values of character education in the collection of poetry, Negeri Daging by A. Mustofa Bisri, namely the value of tolerance, the love homeland,  the value of respect for achievement, the value of social care, and the value of democracy. The conclusion in this research is that the collection of poetry Negeri Daging by A. Mustafa Bisri has a lot of character education values which can be taken and applied to everyday life to get used to with good characters.Keywords:  character education values, the poetry collection Negeri Daging by A. Abstract

Abstract: Teaching English emphasizeson four language skills.Writing skill is the most difficult aspect of thefourlanguage skills, especially for elementary school students. Characteristics of elementary students require learning media that are expected to facilitate students to understand the material being studied, especially in writing.This study aims to develop comic without text to write English conversations and to find out the feasibility of comic without text as a medium for writing.The type of research used was Research and Development (R&D). The development procedure used was a development procedure from Borg & Gall (2003). Dissemination stepwas not taken due to limited resources and the ability of researchers. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the results obtained, as a whole meet the eligibility criteria after passing the overall validation, namely from material expert has very good and valid qualifications, media experts and assessment of friend have very good and decent qualifications, and from student trials obtained a percentage of 89%. Then it can be concluded that the development of learning media comic without text is very feasible to be used as a medium for learning writing.Keywords: Learning Media, Comic Without Text

Abstract

Abstract. This research is concerned with the sentence structure of declarative sentences found in BBC New’s articles. The aims of this research are to identify the syntactic structure of declarative sentences in the articles of technology of BBC News and to describe the application of declarative sentences in the articles of technology in teaching grammar for the twelfth grade of vocational high school. This research belongs to descriptive qualitative research because the data of this research is collected by classifying the declarative sentences found in the technology articles and the researcher as the key instrument. In collecting the data, the researcher chose, read, selected the technology articles, and arranged the data of declarative sentences from those articles. In analysing the data, the researcher identified, classified, counted , discussed the finding, applied the research finding in teaching grammar, and drew conclusion and suggestion. The result of this research shows that there are 103 declarative sentences found in technology articles of BBC News published in January 2020. Based on the types of declarative sentences, there are four types found. There are 57 simple sentences (55.34%), 5 compound sentences (4.85%), 36 complex sentences (34.96%), and 5 compound-complex sentences (4.85%). This research can be applied in teaching grammar for the twelfth grade of vocational high school. Keywords: Syntactical Analysis, Declarative Sentences, BBC News, teaching grammar.

Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research are to identify the composition of the cognitive levels of higher order thinking questions and the comparison between LOTS and HOTS questions contained in the final semester test.  This is a qualitative study which employed documentation as its data collection technique. The data were sourced from the final semester test of English subject comprising 55 test items. The revised Bloom’s taxonomy was used to analyzed the test items which covers remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating. The finding shows that  the composition of Bloom’s taxonomy of cognitive levels covered 11 items (20%) of remembering (C1), 35 items (63.1%) of understanding (C2), 3 (5.4 %) items of applying (C3), 2 items (3.4%) of  analyzing (C4), 3 items (5.4 %) of  evaluating (C5),  and 1 (1.9%) of creating (C6). The comparison between LOTS and HOTS was 49 items (89%) of LOTS  and 6  items (10.9%) of HOTS. It can be stated that the test was still be dominated by lower order thinking questions.   Keywords: Final semester test, HOT, question, revised Bloom’s taxonomy.

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pengetahuan baru, mendiskripsikan aspek budaya yang terkandung dalam novel Dua Tanda Kurung karya Handoko F Zainsam. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua metode yaitu metode kualitatif hermeneutika, yaitu cara kerja pemahan terhadap teks atau wacana, dimana pemahaman itu mengandung kebenaran secara rasional, logis dan bersistematika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya; (1) Mitos kepercayaan mistis, (2) Mitos yang berupa (gugon Tuhan/Pamali) Pantangan atau larangan-larangan, (3) Mitos yang berupa  sirikan (yang harus dihindari). Novel “Dua Tanda Kurung” I’m Still A Woman” karya Handoko F Zainsam adalah sebuah novel yang menceritakan sebuah pergolakan kehidupan wanita yang berupaya mencari tahu jati dirinya sendiri. Tidak lurus jalan yang ia lewati, berbagai kekacauan datang silih berganti dan tekanan dalam diri serta psikologi, membuatnya kehilangan arah dan kadang tak sadar atas kelakuannya. Perjalanan kehidupannya membuat ia harus menyiapkan diri masuk ke dalam geliat pergulatan politik, sosial dan kebudayaan yang absurd.

Abstract

ABSTRAK            Kurikulum 2013 Revisi menuntut peserta didik aktif dan inovatif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana desain pembelajaran menulis teks persuasi dengan menggunakan metode Talking Stick. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menjelaskan desain pembelajaran menulis teks persuasi dengan menggunakan metode Talking Stick. Desain pembelajaran yang telah disusun memperhatikan aspek identitas, standar kompetensi, kompetensi dasar, indikator pencapaian kompetensi, tujuan pembelajaran, materi ajar, alokasi waktu, metode pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran, penilaian hasil belajar, dan sumber belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif analitik yang memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil uji validasi desain pembelajaran menulis teks persuasi. Data yang diperoleh berasal dari angket uji validasi yang ditujukan kepada dosen Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dan pendidik mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil angket tersebut mendapatkan persentase 92,04%, 97,72%, 97,72%, dan 79,70%. Kemudian hasil angket tersebut dikumulatifkan sehingga memperoleh persentase validitas sebesar 91,8%. Persentase validitas tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kelayakan desain pembelajaran menulis teks persuasi sangat valid sehingga dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran menulis teks persuasi untuk peserta didik SMP kelas VIII.Kata Kunci: Desain pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran Talking Stick, dan menulis teks persuasi.

Abstract

This study aims to research and develop instructional media so that it can improve elementary school students' English vocabulary, especially vocabulary related to Pancasila values. The specific objective of this research is to determine the results of knowledge attainment using Pancasila-based digital flashcard application media and conventional media. The novelty of this research is to use the Pancasila values variable in improving English vocabulary. Research and Development method is used in this research consisting of product manufacturing, initial product validation, product testing, usage trials, and final product. This research produces Pancasila-based Digital Flashcard for Elementary Students which contains several users’ interface pages, namely the home page, question page, answer page, and scoring page. It also has several function buttons, namely the exit button, home button, previous button, and next button. Based on the effectiveness test, Pancasila-based Digital Flashcard for Elementary Students is more effective compared to conventional flashcard in achieving vocabularies related to Pancasila values. Further research can be carried out related to interactive learning media, especially in an effort to improve the nation's character building.

Abstract

Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic is a topic of discussion that is being widely discussed in the public. Many sectors affected by this pandemic as well as the economic sector, the industrial sector, the tourism sector, and also the education sector. The central government orders the adoption of large-scale social restrictions. Which resulted in all activities involving many individuals carried out in their respective homes. So that it also has an impact on the world of education and the learning process is carried out at home through online media. One of the supporting facilities for student learning is through the Ruangguru application. In the application there is also learning related to syntactic material. But in terms of optimizing the application related to sitaksis learning is still considered lacking by some people, especially people with lower middle income. This is because this application can be accessed as a whole if you have a subscription. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan penerapan integrasi nilai-nilai keTuhanan dalam keterampilan dan etika berbahasa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa PGSD Semester 5 dengan menggunakan desain one group pre-tes and post test. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes keterampilan berbahasa dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan dan etika berbahasa melalui integrasi nilai-nilai ketuhanan.Kata kunci: nilai-nilai ketuhanan, keterampilan, etika, bahasa.
