Errors that may be made by nurses associated with the action of reducing the fall risk can be minimized, one way is by supervision. The fall risk in patients if occured can cause various impacts such as injuries, disability, and even death. The objective of this research is finding out the relationship between supervision by head nurse with reduction of fall risk in in-patient room. This research was a descriptive correlational study with cross sectional approach. The number of samples was 49 nurses. This study used chi-square test. Data were gathered by means of questionnaires, supervision by head nurse, and reduction of fall risk. The result showed that there was relationship between supervision by head nurse with reduction of the fall risk with ρ value = 0,015 (ρ value α < 0,05). There was a relationship between supervision by head nurse with reduction of risk of falling. It is necessary to do a periodic evaluation in reducing the fall risk through supervision and making a standard guideline for supervision about fall risk.

Self-leadership is a power that is inherent in individuals to influence, direct, control, and push themselves to achieve the desired goals. Self-leadership training is very important to improve work behavior in hospitals. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-leadership training on nurses’ work ethic at the government hospital. The research method uses a quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control two groups with pre-post test design. The research sample was taken using consecutive sampling with a total of 98 nurses, 49 nurses as the control group and 49 nurses as the intervention group. In the intervention group, self-leadership training was given, whereas the control group was not. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test in the intervention group found that there were significant differences in work ethic before and after training (p = 0.00, p˂0.05) while in the control group there were no significant differences in work ethic before and after training (p=0,317, p˃0,05). Spearman's Rho test results showed that there was an effect of self-leadership training on nurses’ work ethic at the government hospital (p = 0.00 <0.05). Self-leadership training can improve nurses’ work ethic at hospitals so it is recommended to conduct training on an ongoing basis to maintain consistency of work ethics in hospitals.

A poor patient safety culture will have an impact on increasing the incident rate or the risk of an incident. The patient safety culture is an important matter that needs to be considered by the hospital. The objectives of this research are finding out the relationship among nurse motivation, role of head nurse, and patient safety culture. This was a descriptive correlational study with cross sectional approach. The number of samples was 49 nurses. This study used chi-square test. Data were gathered by means of questionnaires about nurse motivation, role of head nurse, and patient safety culture. Results of this research describe 25 respondents (51%) had good motivation, 27 respondents (55.1%) had good role of head nurse, and 26 respondents (66.7) had good patient safety culture. The results showed that there was a relationship between nurse motivation and patient safety culture whith p value of 0.003 (p value < α 0,05) and there was a relationship between role of head nurse and patient safety culture with p value of 0.003 (p value < α 0,05). There was a relationship between nurse motivation and patient safety culture and there was a relationship between role of head nurse and patient safety culture. Nurse’s motivation needs to be improved so that the quality of health workers is better and the efforts of the head nurse in carrying out his/her role in his/her unit need to be made more affective to optimize the patient safety culture.

Nursing higher education has new challenges to prepare nursing students as agents of change in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Nursing students today are millennial and Z generation with unique needs and ways of learning. Students more interested in digital-based learning media. Digital-based learning methods were an urgent need to be developed to provide solutions to the learning needs of the millennial generation. The systematic review aimed to discuss the use of VR technology for educating the nursing student. The databases searched included: PubMed, Springerlink and Proquest from the years 2015 to 2019 with the keywords virtual reality, virtual simulation, simulation technology, immersive learning. The inclusion criteria included: articles published in the English language, student respondents and randomized controlled trial (RCT) research methods. The results of article was identified and reviewed by 3 researchers. Researchers approved 158 titles of article that match the keywords without duplicates and 5 articles that match the inclusion criteria. Four articles discuss the students' competencies when using virtual simulations compared with the manikin simulated. The results showed an increase in psychomotor skills, communication, and knowledge. Self-confidence increases, learning satisfaction and anxiety levels decrease. Two articles discuss the analysis of the unit cost, which states that the virtual simulation has cost utility ratio more profitable compared with the Manikin simulations. The results of the systematic review showed that virtual reality was relevant method as a learning strategy to enhance students’ competencies and have more profitable costs compared to conventional methods.

Kepuasan kerja perawat di Rumah Sakit Idaman Banjarbaru masih rendah. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja adalah penjadwalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan penjadwalan layanan keperawatan dengan kepuasan kerja perawat di Rumah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan non-eksperimen dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 91 pelaksana perawat di instalasi layanan rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Idaman Banjarbaru, yang didapatkan melalui stratified random sampling. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara penjadwalan layanan keperawatan dengan kepuasan kerja perawat di Rumah Sakit Idaman Banjarbaru (p-value = 0,008; r = 0,274). Jadwal layanan keperawatan dapat memengaruhi kepuasan kerja perawat. Nilai penjadwalan layanan keperawatan masih rendah, sedangkan kepuasan kerja perawat tidak mencapai standar minimum. Penjadwalan layanan keperawatan yang baik dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja perawat.

Supervision is an actuating part of the management function to achieve the goals of the organization. Supervision of hand hygiene compliance 94 health workers conducted by infection, prevention, & control link nurse (IPCLN) using direct supervision methods. The purpose of developing indirect supervision is because direct supervision is not effective to be carried out, so the development of supervision reflection "Gibbs Reflective Cycle" to assess the compliance of nurses in doing hand hygiene. The method used is the Pilot Study involving internal and external reform agents. Sample selection using purposive sampling as many as 30 respondents consisting of nurses, doctors, and caregivers. The implementation of the study concluded that the compliance of officers in performing hand hygiene was 72.33%, and then Fish Bone analysis was conducted to determine the main problem. The problem was solved by developing the organization using the Kurt Lewin method and using plan, do, check and action (PDCA). The program is carried out by making manuals and operational procedures standard (OPS) for the supervision of reflection. The recommendation given is to propose a draft reflection supervision manual and the OPS that has been prepared should be endorsed by the President Director and disseminating information to the Nursing Manager, the head of the room, and / IPCLN.

Kepatuhan perawat dalam pencegahan pasien jatuh sangat diperlukan untuk meminimalkan terjadinya kejadian yang tidak diinginkan di rumah sakit. Rendahnya kepatuhan perawat akan menyebabkan kejadian pasien jatuh yang dapat disertai cedera. Upaya untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan perawat dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknologi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan perawat dalam pencegahan pasien jatuh. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pengembangan sistem informasi pencegahan pasien jatuh (SIPENJA) sebagai inovasi untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan perawat dalam pencegahan pasien jatuh.

Angka kelululusan Uji Kompetensi Ners di Indonesia belum optimal. Peer teaching merupakan metode pembelajaran dengan menggunakan teman sebaya sebagai fasilitator. Hubungan antara teman sebaya lebih dekat dan lebih aktif dibandingkan dengan hubungan antara fasilitator lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pencapain kelulusan uji kompetensi profesi Ners dengan pendekatan Peer Teaching. Jenis penelitian adalah quasi eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan di STIKES Yarsi Mataram dengan subjek penelitian yang didapatkan melalui tehnik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan peer teaching mempunyai efektivitas dalam peningkatan kelulusan uji kompetensi dengan nilai p value=0,000 dengan tingkat kekuatan pengaruh sebesar 73,8%. Peran teman sebaya sebagai strategi peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman uji kompetensi sangat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kelulusan uji kompetensi.

Discharge planning atau perencanaan pulang bertujuan untuk mempertahankan kontinuitas perawatan lanjutan di rumah setelah pasien dipulangkan dari rumah sakit. Discharge planning yang efektif mampu menjamin pasien dan keluarga melakukan tindakan perawatan paliatif lanjutan yang aman dan realistis setelah meninggalkan rumah sakit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh penggunaan discharge planningmodel LIMA terhadap kesiapan pasien dengan penyakit diabetes melitus dan keluarga dalam menghadapi pemulangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi korelasi dengan pendekatan quasi eksperimental yang dilakukan di dua ruang rawat inap pada RS X Palembang. Sebanyak 31 pasien diabetes melitus dinilai skor kesiapan pulang sebelum dan setelah intervensi discharge planning model LIMA dengan menggunakan kuesioner RHDS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam skor rata-rata kesiapan pulang pre-test dan post-test, yang berarti bahwa ada pengaruh discharge planningmodel LIMA terhadap kesiapan pulang di antara pasien dengan diabetes melitus.

Perawat merupakan tenaga kesehatan yang senantiasa berada 24 jam bersama pasien. Hal ini dapat menguras stamina dan emosi, serta menimbulkan tekanan yang mengakibatkan perawat mengalami kejenuhan kerja atau burnout. Burnout berdampak pada kehilangan minat terhadap pekerjaan dan motivasi menurun yang pada akhirnya menyebabkan kualitas kerja dan kualitas hidup menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan burnout perawat dengan motivasi kerja perawat pelaksana di RSUD Wangaya Denpasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling, dengan sampel perawat pelaksana yang berjumlah sebanyak 165 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja kuat sebanyak 95 orang (57,6%), sebagian besar perawat mengalami burnout sedang sebanyak 85 orang (51,5%) dan ada hubungan burnout dengan motivasi kerja perawat pelaksana (p=0,000). Nilai kekuatan korelasi 0,406 (kekuatan sedang) dan arah korelasi negatif yang artinya apabila tingkat burnout rendah maka motivasi kerja kuat. Disarankan kepada pihak Rumah Sakit memperhatikan tingkat burnout yang dirasakan oleh perawat untuk mencegah terjadinya penurunan motivasi kerja perawat dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan.
