Abstract

Palm oil is one of the largest commodities in Indonesia, especially in the province of South Sumatra and every year its area increases. This has an impact on the large amount of waste produced from the palm oil processing factory itself, the waste in question includes palm oil shells, leftovers from processing palm fruit in palm oil factories. The aim of this research is to find out the effect of adding palm shell ash on the flexibility and durability values of modified asphalt and what is the optimal mixture for AC-BC pavement after adding palm shell ash as an additive which is substituted with stone ash with a percentage variation of 0 %, 4%, 6%, and 8% on AC-BC pavement mixtures. From the results of the Marshall test, it was concluded that as the percentage of palm shell ash increased, the flexibility value increased, with the highest value obtained at a percentage of 8% of palm shell ash with a VMA value of 14.96% (residual Marshall) and VIM of 4.57%. . The durability value obtained for the percentage of 0% palm oil shell ash is 91.98%, the percentage for 4% palm oil shell ash is 92.69%, and for the percentage of 6% palm oil shell ash is 93.25% and for the percentage 8% palm shell ash is 93.29%. From the results of this research, it was found that the value of the influence of the palm oil shell ash mixture on the flexibility and durability values had a positive impact on PG76 modified asphalt, where every percentage of palm oil shell ash still met the standard development specifications. Keywords: At least 3 words and a maximum of 6 words, (first word; second word; third word)

Abstract

Consumer protection regarding safe and healthy food products is a significant challenge in Indonesia, especially concerning the use of harmful substances on vegetable crops. Local farmers often use pesticides and other chemicals in an uncontrolled manner, leaving dangerous residues on food products that eventually enter the market. The lack of supervision and information about food quality makes consumers vulnerable to health risks. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Law No. 18 of 2012 concerning Food in addressing the issue of harmful substances in food products and protecting consumers. The research method used is descriptive-analytical, examining the implementation of Law No. 18 of 2012 in the supervision and regulation of harmful substances in food. The study identifies challenges and shortcomings in the implementation of the law, as well as its impact on food safety and consumer health. The findings indicate that although Law No. 18 of 2012 provides a comprehensive regulatory framework, there are various obstacles in its implementation, including inadequate supervision, lack of law enforcement, and minimal consumer education. Keywords: Food, Harmful Substances, Consumer Protection

Abstract

Geopolymer mortar is an alternative way to reduce brick waste (BB) and fly ash (FA) which can pollute the environment. This geopolymer mortar is made from BB and FA because both of these have pozzolanic properties. In this research the bricks were ground and divided based on their respective variations consisting of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and with additional ingredients namely sodium hydroxide, sodium silicate, sand and water as activators. There is a difference between the results of the compressive strength of test objects based on days 7, 14, and 28. Some of the compressive strength using a mixture (bricks) were greater and some were smaller. The addition of brick ash can affect the compressive strength of the mortar by a certain percentage. The highest compressive strength at the age of mortar occurs when 15% brick ash is added. On the 7th day it is higher, namely 15% with an average value of 13 Mpa. At 14 days it is 13.5 Mpa. And on the 28th day with an average value of 15.6 Mpa. Meanwhile, the lowest compressive strength occurred with the addition of 5% brick ash. The lowest compressive strength value with a compressive strength of 10.6 Mpa occurred on the 7th day. On the 14th day, it was 11.4 Mpa, and 15.6 Mpa. at the age of 28 days. Keywords: Bricks,Activator,Fly Ash, Geopolymer

Abstract

This research conducts a reassessment of PT Dempo Sumber Energi MHP by testing the water discharge, head height, energy loss, and the amount of power that will be released by PT Dempo Sumber Energi MHP in order to get optimal results as planned by PT Dempo Sumber Energi MHP. This reassessment will conduct a feasibility study of the existing result quality system by comparing the results of the data obtained by the author with the applicable standards, and taking into account the value generated at the MHP. So that when later results are found that are not in accordance with what has been determined, the author can recommend that the expected results are appropriate and can help smooth the process at the company. Calculation of the mainstay discharge with the MOCK method which has an effective discharge of 17,43 m3 / sec, a head as high as 43.4 m from the dam to the turbine house door, this has an impact on energy loss of 0.13 m due to the slightly curved shape of the pipe mouth of 0.2 and also energy loss due to closure in the pipe of 0.48 m. The turbine used is a francis turbine which has a head range of 10 to 350. The power to be generated is 41.124,7 kW which loses energy from the recorded results of 571 which can occur at any time due to certain things. This becomes a variety of factors that cause a reduction in the output power generated at the MHP.
