Abstract

Aims: Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is a neurological sensorimotor disorder that causes a person to feel the need to move their lower extremities due to uncomfortable sensations. This condition can be monitored to minimize and cure the symptoms. One of the monitoring instrument is The Self-administered version of The International Restless Legs Syndrome Rating Scale (sIRLS). In Indonesia, the sIRLS instrument has not been culturally adapted. This research aims to translate and to test the content validity the Indonesian version of the sIRLS, so that it can further contribute to subsequent psychometric research on this instrument. Methods: The sIRLS were translated through forward translation, synthesized translation, back-translation, synthesized back-translation, and expert committee by five translators and three expert judges. Content validity was tested through CVR, I-CVI, and S-CVI for the essentiality, relevancy, and clarity of each item. Results: The first validity test showed a significant value for essentiality and relevancy of all the items (1,00). However the first test showed an insignificant value for the clarity of the seven items (0,33 and 0,66). Therefore the researcher should revise the seven items based on the suggestions from the expert judges and then carry out a second content validity test. Consequently, the final values of the CVR, I-CVI, and S-CVI showed significant values (1,00) for the essentiality, relevancy, and clarity. Discussions: Many Adaptation and modification on a few terms were required to achieve both meaning and cultural equivalence and also to facilitate understanding of the respondents. Conclusion: The Indonesian Version of self-administered version of The International Restless Legs Syndrome Rating Scale (sIRLS) is validly reviewed from the essentiality, relevancy, and clarity of the items.

Abstract

Aims: This study examines the effectiveness of the A-Ba-Te innovation in promoting self-care among TB patients in the Sirampog Health Center service area. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with one group was observed on the dependent variable after intervention (one group pretest-posttest design). They were given the "ABATE innovation," which included health education on TB disease, TB medication, self-care training, deep breathing exercises, effective coughing techniques, relaxation techniques, and semi-Fowler position management. Results: Hypothesis testing used an independent T-Test with a significance level of 0.000, indicating a significant change in respondents before and after the treatment. The change was observed from a mean difference value of -35.818, indicating an increase of 35.818. Conclusion: This study concluded that the A-Ba-Te innovation is effective in improving Self-Care Management for TB Patients in the Sirampog Health Center service area. Conclusions : The A-Ba-Te innovation, which includes health education, deep breathing exercises, effective coughing, semi-Fowler's position, and daily medication reminders via WhatsApp, has significantly improved self-care management in tuberculosis patients.

Aims: This research aims to to identify the information requirements of elementary school children toward human papillomavirus (HPV). Methods: The researcher employed a qualitative method utilizing the focus group discussion technique to gather data on several predetermined topics. A total of 20 female students who met the criteria were divided into several groups, and the discussions were recorded and documented. Result: Most of elementary school children have no background knowledge of HPV. Many of them have limited understanding of sexual health education. Although children aged 9-14 have received the HPV vaccine, most of them do not know about HPV. Further information is needed regarding the definition of HPV, the virus transmission process, potential symptoms, diseases caused by the virus, and complications arising from inadequate attention to prevention. Conclution: Providing comprehensive and child-friendly information about the HPV virus is essential to enhance the knowledge of elementary school students. It also contributes to increasing the acceptance of the HPV vaccine and maximizing preventive measures.

Method: This study surveyed 50 nursing students with academic burnout using the MBI-SS questionnaire. The sample was randomly selected, and statistical tests included Wilcoxon nonparametric and Mann- Whitney. Results: There is a significant difference or influence on the scores before and after being given hardiness training with the Wilcoxon test results in the intervention group (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000), there is an influence on the results of the Mann Whitney test after being given hardiness training in the intervention and control groups with the data results being (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.002), which means that this research has a significant influence-because the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05. Conclusion: Providing Hardiness training can reduce the level of academic burnout in nursing students.
