Abstract

GrabagTV is one of community televisions that has been operated in Indonesia.It wasestablished in 2004 in District Grabag, Magelang regency, Central Java. Grabag TV is noncommercial television. One of programs that aired is Gendu-Gendu Roso.This program is aninteractive dialogue aimed as a space to accommodate the aspirations of the people Grabag.This problem is then focused on how the public acceptance of the program Gendu-Gendu Rosoas a medium channeling the aspirations of the people in accordance with the goals and ideals ofIndonesia broadcasters.The purpose of this study is how the reader understand on how thepublic acceptance of the program being broadcasted on television community and the factorsthat affect the acceptance of the audience. This thesis using qualitative methods and theapproach used is reception analysis.This approach is used in order to determine how audiencesreceive the contents of the messages conveyed by the media viewed from a variety ofcontextual factors that influence.Audience acceptance will be obtained by a long process thatbecame valuable experience within the public and shaping the mindset and worldview different.The results of this study show that community acceptance of Gendu Gendu Roso in defendingfreedom of speech in the category dominant reception where the community agreed that theevent was able to become the voice of the container,as well as public acceptance of the use ofsetting events are also included in the reception dominant. While the acceptance of theaudience to the information included in the reception is dominant and negotiated.The lastdiscussion on the use of regional languages in the event showed that the acceptance of theaudience entered the reception is dominant,negotiated and oppositional.For people who fallinto the category of oppositional means that the use of the local language cannot be receivedwell.Public acceptance of the programs shown on television was not the same community.It isinfluenced by various factors in daily life such as social background, occupation, age, sex andneighborhood audiences.Keywords: Community television, audiences positioning, and Grabag TV

Abstract

One of the works of art and cultural traditions of Indonesia that have a high value isKris.Kris is a product of original culture created by the ancestors of Indonesia.Apart from beinga piece of art that has a high value and full of symbolic meanings,the Javanese community is stillwith confidence Kejawen believe Kris has a strength,magical power that has an influence on thelife of its owner.The documentary program is the theme of the existence of art and culturaltraditions in the midst of modern society life activities. This work has the characteristicsedutainment,meaning that in addition to providing entertainment also have purpose to provideeducation or knowledge to the audiences.The idea of this documentary is the story of theJavanese community relations with Kris, in any ceremonial activities and rituals performed bythe Javanese community,Kris never comes off as the completeness of culture that should not beabandoned.The use of shot-shot descriptive meaning the use shot more varied such as, panshots, follow shots, tracking shots, low shots, high shots, over-shoulder shot, is needed in themaking of this documentary,because shooting is mostly done on an event without scenario ordirect camera. Type of shot that is widely used among others: Long shot with reason andpurpose to be flexible to follow the area or wide when the scene moving fast, to show wherethe scene is located (showed a), to indicate progress, as well as to show how to position thesubject has a relationship with others.Type medium shot, shot like this type most commonlyencountered in film and television.This type of shot is the most save,because there is no specialemphasis to the object.Type close shot or close-up function to create a suppressive effect,withsolid images.Keywords :Documentary film,Kris,and Java culture

Abstract

This paper examines forms of the audience attention in RidingThe Light movies which is produced by the impressions of the object adjustment to structure basic of audience thinking. Here, objects are introducing their self to the audience so that they can be accepted and been awared by them because of their condition.Then, object makes adjustments on twelve categories in the audience brain. For finding the audience attention, theory of photoplay Münsterberg serves as the basis of research assuming that audience processes mentality because there are self adaptation of movies in the human intellection of being in the form of space, time, and causality. Abstract

Film Sang Penari (The Dancer) is one of Indonesian film that has a local spirit.Ifa Ifansyah, director of this film presents the problematic female dancers Ronggeng, ranging from the problem itself with her culture,herself with her family,to herself with her love story. The film seems to provide another offer to bring local wisdom in the movie screen.This research uses ethical approach by applying interpretation of analysis with Baumgarten aesthetic theory.The presentation is presented in qualitative descriptive. Based on the aesthetic analysis are generated various perceptions of beauty as follows: 1) The filmSang Penari (The Dancer) has a unique plot power, the cornerstone of this plot is a flashback but only a small percentage. Then forwarded with a forward flow that dominates the plot in its entirely.2)The aesthetics in this film appear when presenting a complex suspense and surprises. Both aspects are beyond the expectations of the audience thought and blanket the mind of the audience. 3) The aesthetics revealed is how the power of displaying beauty-beauty through political symbols. 4) The next aesthetic that is revealed is the cultural aesthetic.The aesthetics of Ronggeng performing arts along with the aspects in them are clearly revealed in this film.Aesthetics displayed by a dancer Ronggeng not only on the beautiful and sensual movement, but also a Ronggeng is a representation of beauty in maintaining the agrarian society.Keywords:Film,Sang Penari,estetika,Ronggeng,dan Buamgarten

Abstract

The making of the work of this final project animation departs from the assumption that the development of Indonesian films is much about the search for identity or an identity, and the struggle of nationalism. However, there are still less of them involving folklore that developed in Indonesian society.By using creative formula of Kentaro Kimura style, the making of this film tries to lift the folklore in Indonesia and try to pack it interestingly. At the stage of idea creation,we do a research of the narrative element of a folklore and reconstructed to explore possibilities in making into a new story.The series of animated films Thousand and One Temple (Seribu Satu Candi) is raised and inspired from the Legend of Prambanan Temple.This film tells the twists and turns of life of Bandung Bondowoso before he becomes a prince of magic. Narratively the concept of comedy makes these stories more interesting.The use of ornamentic concept from batik for the object textures makes this work give more nuances of Nusantara.Keywords :Directing,animation,and Seribu Satu Candi

Abstract

The idea of this research, Damar Kurung Masmundari, is how Masmundari's struggle to preserve arts tradition in Gresik by using third composition visual field expository documentary. Duration of this documentary movie is 26 minutes and showing a reconstruction of Masmundari as an artist Damar Kurung. The benefit is to show the proportion and composition of subject and object trough the rule of thirds.In addition, this research shows the point of interest of Damar Kurung proportion to attract the audience. The rule of thirds technique is used because subject in Damar Kurung Masmundari movie showed focused as well as symmetries being a point of interest.Keywords : documentary,expository,Damar Kurung Masmundari,and exploration.

Abstract

The research titled Montage Realizing Fantasy in the Rain Tree Film (MontaseMewujudkan Fantasi dalam Film Pohon Penghujan)uses qualitative research methods with a formalist esthetic approach and Eisenstein's montage theory. The problem in this research is how the montage manifests the fantasy in the RainTree film?The study in this study focuses on the montage, thus giving meaning in the fantasy film of the Rainbows. The analysis used to dissect the problems used Eisenstein montage theory, namely metric,rhythmic,tonal,overtonal,and intellectual.The results obtained in the research shows a way of fantasy creation,that is,there are some Lacan fantasy scenes,the way the subject is eagerly read through the Eisenstein montage. Through the montage of Eisenstein can be seen the essence of each shot is displayed and the formation of how the characters in the film RainTree knows his passion and shapes his desire through a series of montage.Keywords: Fantasy,Montage,RainTree.

Abstract

The phenomenon,Dimas KanjengTaat Pribadi, is unique issues that have shocked in the Indonesian public because of his unbelievable activities (duplicate the amount of money).This metode of the research is textual;focus onTaat Pribadi news,doubling the money with the religion modus. Mediatisation theory explains about howTaat Pribadi work from the mediatisation, what things appear from the religion ,ediatisation , and how the logic of media work in this case (form knowledge) to the public.The findings of this study are mediatisation religion led to new understanding of the public that led to the substitution of the role of religion and peeps quast-religious.The logic of the media make the knowledge from public that the reporting on this case a shift is no longer focused on the case of deception,but tend to focus on the dramatization of the media or in other words experiencing commoditization of media content,as well as the logicof the media creating a privateTaat Pribadi as a new celebrity.Keywords: Mediatization, religion, logic media, commodification, and dramatization media

Abstract

This research focuses on the cover of Elle Indonesia fashion magazine. Characteristics of ElleIndonesia magazine appear on the front cover with a photo model of a woman, her face isamong the brands of Elle Indonesia. Research on the cover model in this magazine aims tounderstand the meaning contained in it through observing aspects of photographic technicalboth lighting and styling (pose) model.The research method used is qualitative research withvisual methodology model.The analysis using semiotics analysis Roland Barthes, to know thecharacteristics of images and findings on the level of visual effects so as to see the relationbetween the meaning with things hidden in the picture as the vizualisation of connotationaspects.Keywords: Photography, lighting, pose, model, Semiotics, and magazine

Abstract

Shiwa Temple is one of the temples located in the Prambanan temple complex, where Prambanan temple is one of the world cultural heritage located in Indonesia. On the Shiva temple there is a relief that tells epos about Ramayana.In that time,the relief become one of the efective visual media to tell stories such as the media animation in the present.Seeing from thevisualization apparently,the relief of Shiva temple has its own uniqueness and indicated to have the concept of modern animation form.This research has a purpose to know relief form and concept of animation on relief of Shiva temple.The sample of this research is taken from a Ramayana relief panel located in Shiva temple, where according to the writer, that panel hasenough visual characteristic to explain the concept of animation.The results of this study reveal the elements of the shape of the relief Ramayana on Shiva temple and the form of animated concepts applied to the relief of Shiva temple.Keywords: Relief,Ramayana,animation,and Shiva temple
