Abstract

The results show that population migration in TNTN has increased significantly coupled with the birth rate of the population, which on average are couples of productive age, which has made fertile land for population growth in TNTN. The smooth accessibility with the entry of public transportation vehicles (buses) to TNTN, especially Dusun Toro Jaya, coupled with the production of their “oil palm” plantation crops have also become a pull factor for many people to migrate to TNTN. This migration of the population has resulted in forest encroachment into residential areas and oil palm and rubber plantations. The encroachment will have an impact on the destruction and loss of native forest from Tesso Nilo National Park.

Abstract

West Bandung Regency is a part of West Java Province, which has many rural areas that can be developed as tourism places. One that can and starts to run is through One Village One Product (OVOP). This study aims to see how rural tourism develops with the One Village One Product (OVOP) Approach in West Bandung Regency. The research approach uses a qualitative approach to explain phenomena, data collection with a library research approach, and a field consisting of in-depth interviews, observation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The data analysis technique used in this study is an interactive model that classifies data analysis in three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study indicate that the KBB government began the development of tourism marketing through the OVOP program approach in Kampung Pasirangsana, Tourism Village, Renda, District of Cikalongkulon. The development of Tourism Villages in KBB through the OVOP program approach is a pioneering effort that still requires a timeless process to be able to produce the expected results. Several factors hinder the development of tourism village marketing through the OVOP approach, namely limited human resources and budget. Collaboration and consistency are needed for all parties to be able to realize the goal of developing tourist villages in the West Bandung Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of the Napangga Lake tourist attraction in Kepenghuluan Tanjung Medan, Rokan Hilir Regency, which greatly contributes to village-owned enterprises in empowering the community’s economy. Lake Napangga is a new destination located in the Rokan Hilir area and has very promising tourism potential, so it must be managed professionally and have an economic impact on the local community. Therefore, village-owned enterprises must be able to become a spirit in developing this lake tourism object in order to empower the economy of the village community. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data collection is done by observation and interviews. After the data and information are obtained, it will be analyzed in depth with data triangulation validity test. The results of this study found that the development of the Lake Napangga tourist attraction has not run optimally by the Bumdes in empowering the community’s economy. This is due to the inconsistency in the number of tourists visiting Lake Napangga, because this tour is still seasonal. Strategies are needed to make economic empowerment for the community in order to increase income and improve the quality of life of the surrounding community.
