Abstract

Modeling and analysis of building structures using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Method is a concept in planning and implementation that is still rarely applied, this raises several questions such as how to apply the BIM Concept or what are the advantages and disadvantages of the BIM Method, things like this are the background why it is necessary to further review how to apply the BIM Method in a building construction planning. The application of the BIM Method needs to refer to the standard rules that apply in Indonesia, namely as well as supporting literature in terms of concepts and theories, standard rules in multi- storey building planning in Indonesia are regulated by SNI 1726, SNI 1727, and SNI 2847 where each part of this rule must be fulfilled in the planning part of a multi-storey building. The BIM method itself needs to be supported by software tools that are integrated with each other, for example Autodesk Revit for 3-dimensional modeling and Robot Structural Analysis Professional for conducting structural analysis in multi-storey building planning, the application of the BIM method at the planning stage produces 2dimensional, 3-dimensional modeling, element detailing and structural analysis.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of spatial and behavioral mapping at the Class 1 Juvenile Correctional Institution (LPKA) in Tangerang using a behavior setting approach. The research stems from the importance of physical environmental arrangements in supporting rehabilitation programs for children involved in the justice system. LPKA, which is specifically designed to foster the development and rehabilitation of juveniles, includes physical elements such as building layout, cleanliness, and facility quality that influence the habits and behaviors of the inmates. The aim of this study is to identify how physical conditions and spatial arrangements affect the behavior of juveniles at LPKA Class 1 Tangerang. Using a qualitative method, the study involved direct observation at the institution to map the space and analyze the children’s interactions with their environment. The analysis shows that suboptimal spatial arrangements, such as limited areas and poor maintenance of cleanliness, can affect juvenile behavior, including the emergence of aggressive habits and difficulties in social adaptation. These findings provide recommendations for LPKA management to improve facilities and spatial organization in order to create a more conducive environment for the rehabilitation process. This research emphasizes that spatial mapping based on the principles of behavior setting can be an important strategy in identifying and encouraging positive habits among juveniles in LPKA. The results are expected to serve as a reference for LPKA management policies to enhance the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs.

Abstract

The relationship between public space design and the creative industry ecosystem requires a multidisciplinary approach that considers physical, visual, social, and user experience dimensions. This study analyzes the integration of outdoor spatial elements in Taman Literasi Martha Christina Tiahahu as a case study to understand the role of public space in supporting urban creative activities. A descriptive-qualitative method was employed, involving field observation, spatial mapping, and thematic analysis based on public space design principles. The findings reveal that the synergy between physical elements, visual identity, and patterns of social interaction is a key determinant of the park’s success as a creative space. The analysis also highlights gaps between the existing design and community needs, particularly regarding the provision of collaborative spaces and noise management. This study contributes to the discourse on creative placemaking in Indonesia and proposes a holistic evaluative framework for assessing the quality of thematic public spaces in metropolitan contexts.

Abstract

Borepile are a critical component of bridge structures because they ensure the safe transfer of loads to deeper soil layers. In the Dhoho Kediri-Tulungagung Airport Toll Road Project, point P6 is one of the locations requiring in-depth evaluation of the bearing capacity and settlement of the foundation due to variations in local soil conditions. This study aims to analyze the performance of the borepile foundation at this point through analytical and empirical approaches, as well as numerical modeling using PLAXIS 2D to more comprehensively examine the soil-structure response. The analysis results indicate that the foundation was capable of meeting the required bearing capacity and producing settlement within tolerable limits. Numerical modeling also reveals deformation patterns and stress distributions consistent with the soil characteristics and foundation geometry. This combination of calculation and simulation methods provides a more comprehensive vision of the behavior of the borepile foundation at point P6. Overall, this study confirms that the borepile foundation at point P6 is suitable for use and capable of providing stable performance in supporting the bridge structure. These study can serve as a reference in the planning and evaluation of foundations in other segments with similar geotechnical conditions.

Abstract

The demand for reliable transportation infrastructure requires accurate evaluation of foundation performance, particularly for deep foundations such as bored piles used in elevated road structures. This study aims to analyze the bearing capacity and settlement behavior of bored pile foundations at point P4 of the Kediri–Tulungagung Toll Road Project, specifically on the Access Road to Dhoho Airport. Subsurface investigations indicate a soil profile dominated by clay at shallow depths and loose to dense sand at deeper layers, necessitating detailed analysis of strength and deformation characteristics. The analytical approaches employed include the empirical Luciano Decourt method and numerical modeling using PLAXIS 2D based on the finite element method. The bearing capacity analysis of the P4 bored pile using the Luciano Decourt method resulted in an allowable capacity (Qijin) of 354.26 tons and an ultimate capacity (Qult) of 885.65 tons. Meanwhile, the settlement analysis performed using PLAXIS 2D yielded a value of 45.98 mm, which closely matches the empirical settlement of 41.7 mm. The difference of approximately 10% demonstrates good agreement between the two methods. The results confirm that the bored pile foundation at point P4 is capable of supporting the design load of 764.8 tons, with the measured settlement remaining within acceptable limits. The integration of empirical and numerical methods enhances the reliability of the evaluation and provides a more comprehensive understanding of soil–structure interaction. This combined approach has been proven effective and can serve as a reference for foundation design in similar infrastructure projects. Abstract

Nita Subdistrict, Sikka Regency, is a dry tropical region highly vulnerable to prolonged droughts that frequently cause crop failures in horticultural commodities. This study aims to analyze the potential of rainwater harvesting (RWH), estimate crop water requirements, and desing an integrated RWH system with drip irrigation ini greenhouses as an adaptive solution to limited water resources. Ten years of climatological data (2015-2024) were obtained from the meteorology, climatology, and geophysics angency (BMKG) and analyzed using the arithmetic mean, thiessen polygon, and isohyet methods. The analysis indicated that the isohyet method produced the most representative annual rainfall value of 2.080 mm. with a greenhouse roof of 102,01 m2 and a runoff coefficient of 0,8, the theoretical rainwater harvesting potential reached 169,75 m3 per year. Meanwhile, crop water requirements for tomato, long bean, chili, eggplant, cucumber, mustard greens, and water spinach were caculated using the FAO Penman-Monteith method with an average reference evapotranspiration (Eto) of 6,2 mm/day and crop coeffcients (Kc) based on FAO-56. The simulation results demonstrated that an 80 m3 storage tank could sufficiently meet irrigation demands for approximately 120 days during the dry season, aligning with the major growth cycles of horticultural crops in the study area. These findings highlight that an optimally designed RWH system integrated with drip irrigation can enhance agricultural resilience in dry tropical regions and provide an applicable solution for farmers to mitigate crop failure risk due to drought.

Abstract

The issuance of the Certificate of Proper Function (SLF) constitutes the final stage in ensuring that a building complies with safety, health, comfort, and accessibility (K4) requirements, as mandated by Government Regulation No. 16 of 2021. This study analyzes the role of the Construction Management Consultant (CMC) in optimizing regulatory compliance for SLF in the Integrated Lecture Building and Fisipol Building Project at Universitas Tidar Magelang. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was employed, involving interviews, field observations, and document reviews. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles & Huberman. The findings reveal that the CMC plays a crucial role in enhancing SLF compliance through three primary functions: (1) Preventive auditing of the Detailed Engineering Design (DED), which identified design discrepancies and potential risks; (2) Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) based on SNI 2847:2019 and SNI 1726:2019 to ensure construction accuracy; and (3) Functional system verification, including assessment of MEP and fire protection systems through installation evaluation and commissioning tests. These optimized functions significantly improved project compliance with SLF requirements and minimized legal risks. The study recommends the development of internal operational standards and the adoption of BIM to strengthen documentation and streamline SLF regulatory verification. Abstract

Probabilistic risk management has become central to delivering safer and more resilient building projects under growing cost, schedule, and sustainability pressures. This study synthesizes how probability-based approaches have been applied in building-related risk research and identifies unresolved gaps that limit their practical impact. Using a PRISMA-guided systematic literature review of the Scopus database, we screened 165 records and qualitatively analyzed 39 Q1–Q4 journal articles published between 2015 and 2025. The review applies a multi-dimensional framework that classifies studies by risk type, project type, life-cycle stage, building type, methodology, and geographic context. Quantitative designs dominate, particularly Monte Carlo simulation and Bayesian or Dynamic Bayesian Network models, which are frequently embedded in BIM-enabled and Digital Twin environments for cost, safety, and seismic performance assessment. Evidence shows that construction and financial risks, commercial and residential buildings, and construction and operation–maintenance stages attract most scholarly attention, while pre-construction phases, infrastructure assets, and developing-country contexts remain under-explored. The review develops an integrated conceptual map that links probabilistic techniques with risk categories and project settings, and highlights the citation influence of seminal contributions. It also reveals methodological imbalances (limited mixed-methods and participatory studies) and weak integration of probabilistic risk assessment with sustainability and resilience objectives. Future research should extend probabilistic risk models to under-represented geographies and project types, exploit hybrid quantitative–qualitative and AI-enhanced approaches, and embed climate and circular-economy considerations into construction risk decision-support tools.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the high noise level caused by traffic on Kesehatan street, which is located right in front of SDK Yos Sudarso Maumere. This can risk disrupting the learning process and the concentration of students and teachers at the school. The purpose of this study to analyze the effectiveness of ecobricks as noise barriers and the impact of using ecobricks as barriers on the quality of the school environment. This study uses a quantitative experimental approach, by measuring noise levels before and after the installation of ecobrick barriers. Measurements were carried out using a sound level meter placed in several classroom that were most affected by the noise. The results showed that before the installation of ecobrick barrier, the noise level (Leq) exceeded the noise quality standard threshold for educational areas (55 dB), which ranged between 60-65 dBA. The measurements results after the installation of the barrier show a decrease in noise levels ranging from 10-12 dB, bringing most of the noise levels below the required noise limit. The research results state that ecobricks are effective in reducing noise caused by traffic flow. The use of ecobricks also provides ecological benefits by reducing noise in school environments and managing plastic waste.

Abstract

The development of tourism in the Pleret-Patuk corridor, Gunungkidul Regency, has led to the conversion of residential houses into commercial spaces, which has impacted the architectural form and cultural dynamics of the local community. These changes are not only physical, but also relate to how the community negotiates economic needs with long-established local cultural values. This study aims to analyze the influence of commercial activities on the transformation of residential architecture and its implications for cultural values and social interaction patterns in Patuk Village. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and visual documentation of 15 residential houses that have undergone a change in function to commercial spaces. The analysis focused on changes in physical building elements based on the classification of fixed, semi-fixed, and non-fixed elements, as well as their relationship with the spatial patterns and social relations of the occupants. The results of the study show that non-fixed and semi-fixed elements underwent the most significant changes, especially on the facade, openings, and layout of the front of the house. Meanwhile, fixed elements tended to be retained to maintain the identity of the building and the continuity of cultural values. The front area of the house is the most flexible area for commercial activities, while the private zone is maintained. The architectural transformation still reflects local cultural values through the use of materials, decorations, and business practices based on local wisdom. These findings show that adapting residential houses can be a sustainable strategy in meeting the economic needs of the community without losing local cultural identity.
