Abstract

The phenomenon in the field illustrates the low productivity of teachers in assigning tasks. This research aims to reveal the influence of: (1) Integrity of principal and work discipline to motivation of teacher achievement in SMK, (2) Integrity of principal to teacher work discipline in SMK Negeri Kota Padang, (3) Integrity of principal, work discipline and motivation achievement on teacher work productivity in SMK Negeri Kota Padang. The sample of the study amounted to 266 people. The research data was collected by Likert scale model questionnaire. Data were analyzed by moderation variable path analysis technique. The result of the research shows that: (1) There is direct and indirect influence significantly Integrity of school principal and work discipline of teacher toward achievement motivation, (2) There is direct and indirect influence significantly Integrity of principal to work discipline (3) There is direct influence and not significantly the integrity of the principal, work discipline and achievement motivation affect the productivity of teachers work.

Abstract

The rapid development in the era of globalization and complex problems faced by the State in line with the development of governance to realize good governance. Good governance is a prerequisite to realize the desire of the community in achieving the goals of nation and state. Implementation of the concept of good governance has its own challenges, for it needed resources apparatus that have competence in running government administration and sustainable development. To create competent apparatus that is efficient, effective, clean, strong and authoritative and able to carry out general duties of government and development as well as possible, it is necessary to improve quality and work motivation. Abstract

This research to test the hypothesis in Contribution of vocabulary and reading comprehension on the writing skills description text reviewed gender, in a sample of 105 (52 males and 53 females) Junior high school students selected at random sampling. The data these research data were collected with multiple choice tests and performance tests, of this analyzed using regression technique Statistical analysis revealed that the contribution of vocabulary knowledge and reading comprehension in the main and interaction effects. Results of correlational analysis suggest that vocabulary and reading comprehension related significantly to the writing skills description text.

Abstract

In the recent years, electronic-based learning has become an option in chemistry learning. Hydrocarbon has one of the subjects that involved microscopic matter, so it could be understood by animation in computer or internet. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of using e-learning material on hydrocarbon chapter to improve students’ achievement motivation. The quantitative method was applied. The study used a survey approach by using questionnaires were developed. Grade XI students’ was a sample research survey-based in two government high school in Tembilahan, Riau Indonesia. The pilot test involved 30 students’ and the results of the test showed that the Cronbach’s Alpha value was 0.796 and 0.773, shows that the instrument has a high reliability. The validity of the instrument also was analyzed based on Pearson correlation. The findings showed that the instrument has valid. The data were collected was analyzed using inferential statistics. The finding showed that there is a significant relationship between using e-learning material and students’ achievement motivation.

Abstract

Most of materials used in narrative writing are not interested and not related to the writing process (pre-writing, when writing, and post writing). Our goal is to measure the effectiveness, practicality, and validity of the narrative writing material namely Graphic Organizer Story Map. We are doing research and development. We used 4-D model which consists of 4 stages: define, design, develop and disseminate. The validity test is obtained through the learning plan sheet on implementation, and the assessment of teachers and students responses. The effectiveness is obtained from activity, process assessment and result of narrative writing. We conducted an evaluation and obtained the “very valid”, “very simple” and “very effective”. We found the enhancement number of student who meet the passing grade on narrative writing. The teaching material for narrative writing with using Graphical Organizer Story Map is valid, simple and effective to use.

Abstract

Learning management is process and activities to manage the learning efforts and to keep the achievable of goals. Leaning management is also associated with interaction in the learning process with other human beings as well as with learning environment, learning outcomes and the objectives. This research is based on the problems that cause the delay of completing the study of organizational activists among students. The research method is quantitative with descriptive approach. Research subjects involved in this study were as many as 73 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire. From the results of the study noted that the overall ability of student learning management among student activists is in the category of “capable”. This result study recommends campus’s leader to help the sustainability of “good“ learning management, counseling lecturers and UPBK (campus’s counseling center) should provide appropriate services in maintaining good learning management and improve management skills for students who are still “less able” to manage their learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate: the effect ofmodels problem based learning to the critical thinking skills of learners in an integrated thematic learning. This research is a kind of quasi-experiment. The population is all learners in elementary Nanggalo Padang and the sample are learners class IVA and IVB as many as 52 people. The sampling technique in this research istechnique. purposive sampling Data from the research results obtained from tests of critical thinking skills. The results showed that the learning model of problem based learning affects the critical thinking skills of learners in an integrated thematic learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate: the effect of reciprocal teaching strategies on the critical thinking skills of learners. This research is a quasi experimental type research. The population is all students in SD Nanggalo Tarusan Pesisir Selatan and the samples are students of VA and VB class as many as 50 people. This sampling technique is porpusive sampling. Data from the research results obtained from critical thinking skills tests. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of learners who were given a reciprocal teaching strategy were higher than conventional learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated by low activity and learning outcomes of social science sat IX.1 class in SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Geringging. Therefore it was necessary to improve learning, . The purpose of this study was to improved the activity and learning outcomes of social science through cooperative learning model, type teams game tournament by using crossword puzzle on the achievement of nineth grade students in SMP Negeri Sungai Geringging, semester 1 academic 2017/2018. The method used wasclassroom action research. The research procedure was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques such as observation and formative tests (cognitive). Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results was found the average percentage of the students activity in cycle 1 was 63.8% , in increased to 90.5% (very active). the average score was 73.9 in cycle 1, with percentage 65.7% or 23 students completed, the average score in cycle 2 79,3 with percentage 88,6% or 31 students completed

Abstract

This research is based on teaching materials that are less suitable with curriculum demands, less adjusting to writing process (pra writing, when writing, and post writing), and less interest of students to write descriptions. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of teaching materials write description using Three Word Main Idea Map. The type of research is development research. This research uses 4-D model which consists of 4 stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Validity test data obtained through the implementation of RPP sheet, assessment of teacher and student responses. The effectiveness is seen from the activity, the assessment of the process and the result of writing the description. Based on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness test obtained the percentage is very valid, very practical, and very effective for every aspect. Based on the assessment of the results of writing description can be seen the percentage of mastery of writing results increased descriptions. Based on these results, it is concluded that teaching materials to write descriptions using Three Word Main Idea Map developed can improve the skills of writing descriptions.
