Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of Parents Attention, Learning Discipline, and Learning Motivation to learning outcomes of students at the student Financial Accounting Class XI SMK Negeri in Business and Management Department of Padang. The population in this research were 221 students of class XI accounting. The sampling technique used is proportionate random sampling so that the sample of 142 students is obtained. Research instrument used in the form of questionnaire. Data analysis in this research using Path Analysis. The results of this research indicate that parents' attention has a significant effect and contribute to the discipline of learning. Parental attentions and discipline of learning have a significant effect on learning motivation. Attention parents, learning discipline, and learning motivation have a significant effect on the results of students' financial accounting learning class XI.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was, therefore, to describe the processes and the results of developing the comic-based learning media on the subjects of Social Science-History for the fifth grade of primary school in Pekanbaru City. Research and Development (R&D) and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) of ADDIE was used to develop the media. Validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests were used to qualify the developed product. The developed comic-based learning media was stated “valid” by two media experts (63.33% and 90.83% respectively); by two material experts (77.92% and 96.67% respectively); whilst media validation was 83.33% and materials’ validation was 93.75%. The results of One-to One, Small Group and Field Trials were 88,54%, 93,23%, and 92,20% respectively. In conclusion, the research findings indicated that the developed comic-based learning media were stated valid and can be used in the intended context for the Fifth Grade of Primary Schools in Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

This study is aimed to produce a model of a group counseling with trait and factor approach to improve the maturity of SMAN students’ career choices. Research design is research and development using quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative data are gathered based on field problems which is tested with validity test, effectiveness, and practicality. Meanwhile, qualitative data are collected by using observation, interview and focus group discussion. The research product is in the form as the group counseling model with trait and factor approach to improve the maturity of students’ career choices, counseling guidebook of trait and factor group for school counselors. Ultimately this model can be a prototype and standard in group counseling with a trait and factor approach to improving the maturity of students’ career choices.

Abstract

One of the tasks of development that must be traversed by a teenager is a task in planning or choosinga career/job for the future. However, many conditions faced by teens who were in Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) as the Special Children's Mentoring Institute,include the lack of career information that they have caused them difficulty and have trouble doing career planning for their future. This research aims to describe of the problem of young prisoner in the career planning process. This research used quantitative approaches with descriptive-quantitative method. The sample in this research consisted of 32 young prisoner. The results showed that young prisoner who have problems of planning a career on the very high category as many as 17 people with 51.51%, in high category as many as 11 people with 33.33% and on the category quite as many as 4 people with 12.12%.

Abstract

Young prisoners need guidance, direction and assistance from parents and the immediate environment in order to develop into more mature. Some of the problems experienced by young prisoners are not able to accept themselves and difficult circumstances to direct behavior so that affects the psychological well-being. Psychological well-being is a condition in which an individual can accept themselves and be able to rise from its current state. This article discusses the basic concepts of psychological well-being and the importance of guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

Social anxiety is one of the important factors that can obstruct students in the process of achieving the development to the optimal direction. Anxiety begins maladaptive cognitive, resulting in ineffective behavior. CBT is one approach to maladaptive cognitive restructuring and ineffective behavior. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of CBT counseling group settings in overcoming students' social anxiety. This research uses a quantitative approach with Quasi Experiment method through The Non Equivalent Control Group design. The subjects were 9 students of control group and 9 students of the experimental group. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Independent Samples. The research findings show that CBT counseling group setting is effective in overcoming student social anxiety. The results of this study can be used as one of the strategies in overcoming the social anxiety of students.

Abstract

This study originated from the critical thinking ability of mathematical learners who are still low. The low critical mathematical thinking ability is due to the unavailability of student worksheets that can support the improvement of critical thinking skills of mathematical learners. The learning process has not been able to help learners to build and develop their knowledge in finding their own principles / procedures of mathematics. The purpose of this study is to produce an inquiry-based learner workbook to improve the critical thinking skills mathematically learners class VIII SMP / MTs. The development research carried out uses the Plomp development model. This Plomp development model consists of three phases, namely the initial investigation phase, prototype development phase and assessment phase. Learning worksheets developed based on inquiry. Based on the development that has been done, obtained the sheet of students of mathematics-based inquiry for class VIII SMP / MTs that meet the preliminary research criteria.

Abstract

Young prisoners need non-formal education in order to achieve the targeted teenager's future, because young prisoners have the right to carry out educational. The purpose of this study was to describe learning skills of the young prisoners in correctional institution adolescent Tanjung Pati Lima Puluh Koto. An analyze of the data used instruments learning skills of the young prisoners to 23 teenagers and analysis used is presentation. The research finding showed that learning skills of young prisoners at a medium level. The implication of this research is to identification learning skills young prisoners. In order, the results of this study could be data to assist the prisoners for solving their problems in learning skills, in developing a product to improve learning skills of the young prisoners.

Abstract

Domain origin of Minangkabau is divided into three Luhak known as Luhak Nan Tigo. This region is the center of Minangkabau cultures. The three Luhak are located in West Sumatera. Those areas also have a diversity of ethnicity, religious, and customs. This study aims to formulate the factors which support social integration of Minangkabau community. By using descriptive qualitative approach, the informants of this research are the elements of regional leaders, youth leaders, custom leaders, religious leaders and ordinary citizens. Techniques of data collection was observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the research found that the strong traditions that still make Minangkabaupeople to feel a unity, their customary laws in Minangkabau region makes the people feel protected and not be afraid to break the rules of the customs. Customary laws become a life principle of social life at the same guidelines with the aim of creating security, discipline and creating a virtuous society and noble characters.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to test correlation peer conformity, parents support, juvenile delinquency, and the peer conformity, parental support, partially and simultaneously with the juvenile delinquency. The sample consisted of 115 people taken by using the stratified random sampling. The results show that there is correlation of peer conformity to juvenile delinquency was -0,235, the correlation of parents support to juvenile delinquency was -0,206 and the correlation of peer conformity and parents support to juvenile delinquency was -0,292.
