Abstract

The rapid development of digitalization makes it easier for people to shop online through e-commerce. Indonesia ranked first with 88.1% of internet users using e-commerce. During the pandemic, e-commerce grew by 33.2% from 253 trillion to 337 trillion. Shopee is the first ranked e-commerce platform in Indonesia with the highest visits, while Bukalapak has the lowest visits. This difference is influenced by word of mouth between consumers. Electronic word of mouth influences the attitudes and decisions of internet users towards an e-commerce brand. User reviews indicate that Shopee has a negative e-WOM, while Bukalapak has a positive e-WOM. User trust in the brand and the consumer experience affect public opinion and brand equity. Further research is needed to examine the influence of ethnocentrism on brand equity and the factors that influence it, such as e-WOM. This study aims to determine the extent to which the influence of e-WOM on consumer ethnocentrism and brand equity applies to one e-commerce service, namely Shopee and Bukalapak. Research methods with quantitative research types and cross-sectional study designs Data collection is done directly with the type of primary data using questionnaires in the form of Google Forms, and the scale of measurement is the Likert scale. The population and sample in this study are Shopee and Bukalapak e-commerce users. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. Data analysis was done by structural Equation modeling (SEM) and the SmartPLS program for data processing.

Abstract

One of the special powers of a notary is to make a deed in the land sector in the form of making a PPJB deed for parties who have agreed to carry out a land sale and purchase transaction. For some reason, the notary has made changes to the deed number unilaterally without the knowledge of the parties so that his actions have violated the applicable legal procedures. This article raises issues regarding the validity of changing the deed number and the legal implications of the PPJB deed and the notary's responsibility for this action. Based on the results of the study, the notary's actions were a form of error and violated UUJN provisions, which had the implication that the deed had no legal force because it was degraded into an underhand deed and the aggrieved party could claim compensation from the notary. Considering that there is a criminal element, the form of accountability of a notary can be criminally prosecuted and can be temporarily dismissed from 3 to 6 months by the Supervisory Board or the termination can adjust to the length of the criminal court decision.

Abstract

The protection of environmental and economic rights has been part of the human rights as well as one of the main purposes of sustainable development. However, the drive caused by rapid economic growth have caused the effort in environmental protection to be neglected in the past decades, including in Indonesia. Since 1982, Indonesia has enacted environmental protection regulatory framework, including by adopting the Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA) as the legal instrument in the environmental decision-making process. One of the main characteristics in the EIA process is the people’s involvement as regulated under Law No. 32 of 2009 and its implementing regulations. However, the enforcement of this mandatory obligation only remains as a formal compliance rather than serving the actual purpose. Even worse, the recently enacted Job Creation Law have immensely severed the environmental protection effort by amending the people’s involvement principle into a more restrictive regulatory framework. Therefore, this article is aimed to revisit the current Job Creation Law on the people’s involvement in the EIA Process from a constitutional perspective towards sustainable development.
