Abstract

One source of learning in the learning process is learning materials. In distance education, learning resources prepared for students must be able to be studied independently. The separation of lecturers and students needs to be bridged by learning materials that can be understood by students. A video is a form of learning materials that can be used to help students understand the material. Through videos, students can learn anywhere and anytime according to the time available. In the video, the duration of the material delivery is very significant. Likewise, components such as intro, greeting, and outro greatly support student motivation. The effective video duration in learning website-based statistical data analysis is 10-15 minutes. The component of presenting material that is in great demand by students in the discussion of sample questions and their application using R software.

Abstract

Clustering is a technique for grouping homogeneous data so that the points in each cluster are as similar as possible according to convenience measures such as Euclidean-based distance or correlation-based distance. In the industrial era 4.0, learning media, the environment, the way teachers teach will affect student learning styles. From research on learning styles, many researchers agree on the importance of identifying learning styles to accelerate their learning performance. The purpose of this study is to classify student learning styles in the industrial era 4.0 using the Kmeans algorithm and the elbow method. The research method used is a waterfall. The number of research subjects was 108 students. the results of the research on the number of clusters (K), namely 6, obtained cluster 1 as many as 27 students, cluster 2 as many as 24 students, cluster 3 as many as 21 students, cluster 4 as many as 17 students, cluster 5 as many as 11 students and cluster 6 as many as 8 students. The performance of the grouping results based on the silhouette coefficient is 0.302, which means the grouping structure is weak. In cluster 1, the highest number has auditory elements, followed by kinesthetic and visual elements. The development of ICT-based media is one of the factors of student learning styles in the industrial era 4.0

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools is not fully oriented to higher order thinking skills (HOTS). In fact, HOTS play an important role in solving mathematical problems so that they require the support of effective teaching materials. The purpose of this study was to develop mathematics teaching materials to improve HOTS in grade 3 elementary school students. This research is a development research using the Borg & Gall model. The stages of this research consist of information gathering, development planning, product draft development, and initial product testing. Research data obtained through questionnaires and tests. The data were then analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the product assessment results from material experts were 88.09, media experts were 92.00, linguists were 92.30, and practitioners were 92.24. Considering the results of the validation assessment from several experts, it can be concluded that the mathematics teaching materials developed have been feasible to improve HOTS in grade 3 elementary school students. The development of 3D-based mathematics teaching materials on two-dimentional figure provides assistance for students in solving problems more realistically and easily. Book products are not only in the form of pictures but can be seen, folded or rotated so that they can develop students' thinking in analyzing, evaluating and creating which are adapted to the context of solving mathematical problems in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of educational technology in the learning process for educators in Tebas District, Sambas Regency, the theoretical use of research to contribute to the development and use of educational technology and practically to be able to apply the development of educational technology today. The variables in this study are Utilization of educational technology in the learning process" with indicators of learning models, learning strategies, learning methods, learning media and learning outcomes. The research method uses descriptive verification method in the form of case study research. The results of the study showed that the models, strategies, methods and learning media as well as learning resources most of the educators had mastered and could be applied, and it should be noted that the facilities and infrastructure that can support the use of educational technology such as internet facilities, wifi and equipment to support the implementation of learning when they want to implementing educational technology in delivering lesson messages and the lack of availability of learning resources in supporting the smooth process of using technology other than the teacher concerned.

Abstract

The aim of this research is; 1) develop an initial e-book assisted PPjBL approach platform Book Creator for fourth grade elementary school students; 2) describes the initial draft form of teaching materials in the form of an e-book based on the PPjBL approach assisted by a platform Book Creator for fourth grade elementary school students. This research is a kind of research and development or R&D (Research & Development). This study uses the Sukmadinata modification research stage which consists of 3 stages, such as; preliminary study (stage 1) consists of library research activities, field observations, and preparation of an initial draft; development (stage 2) consists of the product preparation stage, design validation, improvement, product testing, product improvement and determination; and product testing and socialization (stage 3). Data was collected using test and non-test techniques in the form of observation. This study uses qualitative data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the e-book developed was "Very Appropriate" with a percentage of 81%. Moreover, based on the results of the product trials at a 95% confidence percentage obtained that the average value of the students after using the e-book was equal to 80.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Indonesian Government issued a policy to implement Distance Learning (PJJ) or Online Learning. This applies to all levels of education, including higher education. During online learning, students are not only required to have learning independence but also self-regulation and social support to meet the expected learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of learning independence, self-regulation, and social support on students’ learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were 115 students from the Psychology Study Program at University X. The research design used was multiple regression with a quantitative approach. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument. The validity and reliability of the measuring instrument used were adequately credible. The classical assumption test was conducted in the form of a normality test, homogeneity test, and correlation test before the hypothesis testing was carried out with regression testing. Partially, each independent variable independently affects the dependent variable. Learning independence affects Learning Outcomes with a significance value of 0.448, self-regulation also affects Learning Outcomes with a significance value of 0.551, and social support also affects Learning Outcomes with a significance value of 0.104. The three independent variables, namely Learning Independence, Self-Regulation, and Social Support, jointly affect the dependent variable on Learning Outcomes with a significance value of 0,527.

Abstract

This study aims to develop hypertext-based teaching materials during the Covid-19 pandemic so that they can effectively improve learning outcomes for Curriculum and Learning courses. The development of teaching materials follows the steps of developing the Rowntree model with the stages of preliminary research, development planning, validation, evaluation and revision (expert judgment review, face to face, filed test), and implementation. The value of product development obtained from the review of material experts is 3.12, instructional design experts are 3.68, and design and layout experts are 3.72. The average results obtained from the face to face and field tests are 3.55. At the implementation stage, the results of the pretest showed a value of 65.5 and the results of the posttest showed a value of 82.7. This shows that the product development of hypertext-based teaching materials is feasible to use and can effectively improve learning outcomes for Curriculum and Learning courses.

Abstract

Learning activities at the Creative Media State Polytechnic after the pandemic period, especially in the design department of the game technology study program, were held in blended learning. Blended learning is the right choice of learning because it needs adaptation from lecturers and students, where previously learning was held fully online, now it is held online and offline. Blended learning activities can be very effective and efficient in their implementation if the learning process is well prepared. One of the learning activities carried out is independent learning activities. Therefore, this study aims to produce a learning application that can be used as an independent learning module so that students can learn without being assisted by anyone just by using this independent learning module. The approach taken is the ADDIE development method. The ADDIE development model consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Expert response to this learning application is a crucial thing to do. This application is evaluated by an expert with a background in graphic design, learning media, and communication. The independent learning module application was successfully developed and implemented in semester 3 of the 2-dimensional game programming course.

Abstract

This study aims to share learning media using Canva and to find out student responses. This type of research is research using the 4-D development example developed by S. Thiagarajan using 4 stages, namely: the definition stage (Define), the planning stage (Design), the development stage (Develop), the dissemination stage (Disseminate). The research sample was class XII students totaling 38 students. Research instruments include questionnaires and needs analysis in this study using observation, interviews and questionnaires. The technique used in the analysis of this research data is quantitative descriptive analysis. Learning media using Canva can increase student learning motivation. The use of this media is very effective, both offline and online. The development of Canva learning media is also based on phenomena in the field, namely that there has not been development of learning media using Canva for use at MAN 1 Pontianak, as a result it is necessary to develop learning media using Canva that are valid and practical. The purpose of this study is to share learning media using Canva which is used at MAN 1 Pontianak. It is hoped that this learning media can be used by teachers, especially guidance and counseling teachers for learning in advanced study material classes.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the trend of blended learning increased rapidly. The Indonesian government provides various supporting facilities for blended learning, one of them is a learning account. Unfortunately, this surge in demand for and provision of supporting facilities has not been matched by sufficient skills to properly organize online learning. Many teachers do not know how to utilize ICT in learning. The author took the initiative to develop teacher professional development activities to improve digital skills. These activities were developed using the technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and using the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE) model. It can be concluded that these activities can be duplicated again with some adjustments. First, this training is suitable for teachers at the K12 level. If it will be used for PAUD/TK teachers, this training needs to be redesigned. Second, it would be much better if the institution where the teacher works provide dedicated hours for professional development which are also counted into teaching/additional teacher hours.
