Abstract

This study discusses public relations strategies in handling customer complaints at PT. Port Indonesia (Pelindo) Persero Tanjung Balai Asahan Branch. The focus of this research is how communication strategies are applied in handling complaints to improve customer satisfaction and maintain the company's image. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, where data is collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study show that responsive communication strategies, service digitization, and interpersonal communication play an important role in handling customer complaints. The implementation of a digital-based complaint management system allows customers to submit complaints more easily and speed up the problem resolution process. In addition, direct interaction between the company and customers creates trust and increases service satisfaction. The conclusion of this study confirms that a good public relations strategy can increase customer loyalty and strengthen the company's reputation as a professional and quality-oriented port service provider

Abstract

This research was executed at SMP Swasta Raksana Medan. The purpose of this study was to determine the interpersonal relationship with school well-being in students of SMP Swasta Raksana Medan. A total of 119 students of SMP Raksana Medan were used as the population and in the study conducted. The sample was obtained through the use of the Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires to all samples. Furthermore, it was analyzed through the use of multiple regression analysis. A real correlation was found between School Well-Being and Interpersonal Relationships, as evidenced by the F test obtained F = 24,840 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05). Assumption tests include normality tests and linearity tests. Data analysis was carried out through multiple linear regression analysis techniques assisted by SPSS Statistic 27 for windows software. The resulting research showed a real contribution of 18.3 percent from School Well-Being School well-being and interpersonal relationships, the remaining 81.7 percent came from other factors not studied. This finding means that higher School Well-Being can also make students' interpersonal relationships high. Conversely, low School Well-Being can also make students' interpersonal relationships low.

Abstract

Kinerja keuangan perbankan mengalami peningkatan dan penurunan dalam pencapaian keuntungan, namun dalam situasi ini beberapa bank menutup kantor cabangnya, akibat meningkatnya penggunaan digital banking.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh mobile banking, internet banking dan transaksi ATM terhadap kinerja keuangan perbankan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan data sekunder, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling untuk menentukan sampel penelitian, sehingga diperoleh sebelas bank dan terdapat empat puluh tiga sampel untuk penelitian. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial transaksi mobile banking berpengaruh positif terhadap ROA. Sedangkan transaksi internet banking berpengaruh negatif terhadap ROA dan transaksi ATM berpengaruh negatif terhadap ROA. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan transaksi mobile banking, transaksi internet banking dan transaksi ATM mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap ROA.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of USU Rector's Decree No. 2132 of 2024 concerning the Appointment of Non-Permanent Lecturers at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra (FEB USU). This policy aims to overcome the deficit of teaching staff and improve the quality of education at FEB USU. A descriptive qualitative approach is used in this study, with in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis methods. The data was analysed using the policy implementation models of Van Meter & Van Horn and Edward III, which highlighted aspects of communication, resources, executive disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The results of the study show that policy communication is effective, supported by good coordination between faculty leaders, study programs, and teaching staff. However, there are several challenges, such as the age and health of lecturers are not fixed, budget limitations, a lack of synchronization in the delivery of teaching materials, and the high workload of lecturers. Therefore, a strategy to improve academic coordination, budget optimization, and a better evaluation system is needed to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of this policy in improving the quality of education at FEB USU.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), Earnings Per Share (EPS), and Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) on company value as measured by Tobin's Q. The problem focuses on how these financial factors affect company valuation. In order to approach this problem, theoretical references from financial management and company value theory are used. Data were collected through company financial reports and analyzed quantitatively using multiple linear regression with normality, multicollinearity, and ANOVA tests.This study concludes that ROE and EPS have a positive and significant effect on Tobin's Q, indicating that equity profitability and earnings per share can increase company value. Conversely, DER and DPR have a negative and significant effect on Tobin's Q, indicating that high debt levels and large dividend payments can reduce company valuation. Meanwhile, ROA does not have a significant effect on Tobin's Q. This result implies that companies need to focus on increasing equity profitability and earnings per share, maintaining a balanced capital structure, and designing an optimal dividend policy to increase the company's value in the eyes of investors.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digital brochures as a promotional media for new student admissions at Integritas Bangsa (IB) School in Medan, its impact on the education competition in Medan, and the challenges faced in marketing using this medium. The main focus of the problem is how digital brochures serve as a promotional tool to attract new students. This study uses a marketing communication approach, the uses and gratifications theory, with a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies, while data analysis follows the Huberman and Miles model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that digital brochures are effective in promoting new student admissions at IB School in Medan, with advantages in cost efficiency, flexibility, and wide reach. The main challenges include the limitations of parents who are not familiar with technology and the competition on social media. To address this, the school innovates with brochure formats and interactive promotions. Parental feedback encourages improvements, and regular evaluations ensure the effectiveness of the digital marketing strategy.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji ritual Tari Topeng Kelana Bandopati yang diselenggarakan di Sanggar Purwa Kencana, Cirebon. Masalah difokuskan pada ritual yang dilakukan oleh dalang Topeng Kelana Bandopati serta makna yang terkandung dalam setiap pertunjukan. Tarian ini ditandai dengan gerakan energik, yang menjadi salah satu ciri khas dari Tari Topeng Kelana Bandopati, diantaranya adalah gerakan galeong, gantung sikil, dan pasang naga seser yang mengandung makna ritual yang mendalam. Tari Topeng Kelana Bandopati tidak sekadar dipahami sebagai sebuah pertunjukan seni, melainkan juga sebagai sebuah ritual yang menjembatani dunia fisik dan spiritual, serta menciptakan pengalaman transendental bagi penari, pengrawit dan penontonnya. Dalam penelitian ini, teori yang digunakan meliputi teori simbolisme dalam pertunjukan, teori gerak dalam tari, dan teori spiritualitas dalam seni ritual. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan metode pengumpulan data yang terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, penelitian ini mengkaji dimensi simbolik, filosofis, serta sosial dari ritual tari tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ritual ini berperan sebagai pemelihara nilai budaya Cirebon, serta dalam mempertahankan identitas budaya di tengah dinamika perkembangan zaman yang akan tetap terlindungi meskipun di masa modern. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Topeng Kelana Bandopati berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk mencapai kedamaian batin dan pemahaman spiritual bagi masyarakat Cirebon maupun luar Cirebon.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the pricing strategy implemented by Alfamart and its impact on sales levels and customer loyalty. The focus of the study is directed at how promotional pricing strategies, location-based price adjustments, and competitive pricing strategies affect the company's profitability amidst tight retail competition. A qualitative approach is used in this study by collecting data through in-depth interviews with marketing managers, direct observation at several Alfamart outlets, and analysis of financial documents and internal company reports. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns from interviews and observations, and comparative analysis to evaluate the impact of strategies on increasing sales volume and customer loyalty. The results of the study indicate that the pricing strategy implemented contributed significantly to increasing sales in some cases, reaching an increase of up to 15% in certain promotional periods, and maintaining customer loyalty through bundling programs and exclusive discounts. However, this strategy also carries the risk of decreasing profit margins if promotional costs are not controlled efficiently. Internal factors such as operating costs, profit targets, and customer loyalty programs, as well as external factors such as market competition and fluctuations in raw material prices, have been shown to influence the company's pricing decisions.  This study recommends that Alfamart optimize the use of data analytics to determine the effectiveness of promotional programs and implement AI-based dynamic pricing technology. These findings can also be a reference for other retail companies in designing adaptive and sustainable pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and increase long-term profitability.

Abstract

This article or paper aims to find a form of diversification of the work of labor fishermen groups in meeting the basic needs of exit after COVID-19 in Kelantan Village, Lalat Regency. The problem is focused on the impact of COVID-19 on the lives of fishermen in Kelantan Village, Langkat Regency, who are experiencing difficulties in meeting the basic needs of their families, so an adaptation strategy is needed to meet these needs, one of which is by diversifying work. To approach this problem, reference to adaptation strategies and the concept of job diversification, as well as the Precariat Theory of Guy Standing, is used. The data of this study were collected through in-depth observation and interviews with labor fishermen and then analyzed through the Miles and Huberman Interactive Model. This study concludes that diversification is an alternative livelihood choice by fishermen in the fisheries and non-fisheries sectors. The variety of jobs that fishermen can do highly depends on the resources available in their living environment. In Kelantan Village, labor fishermen diversify their work using boats as boat taxis. They work to meet the local transportation needs of remote coastal areas without road access. This service helps people deliver goods, school children, or transport tourists who want to explore the coast's natural beauty.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengelolaan sumber daya alam (SDA) di Pulau Mursala, Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah, melalui pendekatan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pulau Mursala memiliki potensi ekologi dan ekonomi tinggi, namun pengelolaan SDA masih didominasi oleh pendekatan ekstraktif dan bersifat sentralistik, sehingga masyarakat lokal belum dilibatkan secara optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi dokumentasi terhadap berbagai dokumen kebijakan dan laporan lapangan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan konservasi dan pengelolaan SDA belum melibatkan masyarakat secara kelembagaan, partisipatif, dan regulatif. Minimnya forum multipihak dan lemahnya kapasitas kelembagaan lokal memperkuat ketimpangan dan ketidakadilan ekologis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pelatihan, penguatan kelembagaan, pengembangan wisata berbasis komunitas, dan regulasi partisipatif sangat penting untuk menciptakan model pengelolaan SDA yang inklusif, adil, dan berkelanjutan di Pulau Mursala.
