Tawuran remaja merupakan salah satu bentuk kenakalan remaja yang paling meresahkan masyarakat terutama di wilayah perkotaan termasuk di Komplek Asrama Widuri. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk komunikasi interpersonal orang tua kepada anak, faktor penghambat, dan upaya orang tua kepada anak dalam penanggulangan tawuran remaja di Komplek Asrama Widuri Kec. Medan Amplas. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Dengan pendekatan penelitian lapangan (field research) Adapun yang menjadi teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian kualitatif adalah melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Penetrasi Sosial. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu orang tua yang memiliki anak remaja berusia 18-20 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk komunikasi interpersonal antara orang tua dan anak dalam upaya mencegah tawuran remaja di kawasan Kompleks Asrama Widuri masih belum optimal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari belum tercapainya indikator dari komunikasi interpersonal seperti kurangnya keterbukaan antara orang tua dan anak. Faktor-faktor yang menghambat komunikasi interpersonal orang tua yaitu faktor waktu dan lingkungan tempat tinggal maupun lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract Revitalization of traditional snacks as healthy and aesthetic desserts is an innovative strategy in strengthening local culinary identity in the hospitality industry. This study aims to examine the process of modifying traditional market snacks to meet the aesthetic and health standards of five-star hotels, with a case study at Gumaya Tower Hotel Semarang. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with a single case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of chefs, food and beverage managers, and hotel guests. The results of the study indicate that innovation is carried out through substituting unhealthy ingredients with natural ingredients, modern serving techniques, and inserting local cultural values through storytelling. Hotel guest responses showed a high level of satisfaction with the visual appearance and health value, although some noted a change in taste from the traditional version. This revitalization also has a positive impact on the hotel's image, strengthens product differentiation, and supports the preservation of Nusantara culinary culture. These findings are important as a basis for developing sustainable culinary innovations based on local wisdom and can be applied in other hospitality industries.

This study aims to explore the role of self-esteem in the psychological adaptation and work mobility of a young woman who experienced risky social behavior and sexual harassment during her adolescence. The research employed a qualitative approach with a single case study method. The subject is a 23-year-old woman working in the food service sector. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that self-esteem plays a crucial role in the subject's psychological recovery and career decision-making. Positive adaptation was supported by social support, self-reflection, and empowering work experiences that strengthened her identity. In conclusion, healthy self-esteem is a key foundation in the post-trauma recovery process and contributes to more reflective and empowering career mobility.

Implementasi ketentuan hukum mengenai tenaga kerja alih daya (tenaga kerja alih daya dipekerjakan pada pekerjaan inti perusahaan) yang notabene merupakan wujud belum maksimalnya perlindungan hukum yang diberikan Pemerintah bagi tenaga kerja alih daya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis guna mengetahui mengenai disharmonisasi pengaturan perlindungan hukum tenaga kerja alih daya sebagaimana diatur dalam ketentuan Pasal 66 Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 tentang Ketenagakerjaan, yang membatasi alih daya hanya pada pekerjaan penunjang, sering kali dilanggar dengan ditempatkannya tenaga kerja alih daya pada pekerjaan inti. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan konseptual, serta dianalisis secara deskriptif-kualitatif terhadap norma hukum positif yang berlaku serta fakta implementatif yang terjadi di lapangan. Sumber data diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan serta dokumentasi terhadap putusan pengadilan dan regulasi yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlindungan hukum terhadap tenaga kerja alih daya belum berjalan secara efektif akibat disharmonisasi antara UU Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 dan UU Nomor 6 Tahun 2023. Perlunya harmonisasi hukum ketenagakerjaan secara vertikal dan horizontal sangat mendesak dilakukan sebagai langkah strategis untuk mewujudkan kepastian hukum dan keadilan sosial bagi tenaga kerja alih daya di Indonesia.

Ruwatan, upacara adat Jawa yang dipercaya membersihkan diri dari pengaruh negatif dan membawa keberuntungan, seringkali dikritik dari sisi agama karena melibatkan sesajen. Di tengah modernisasi dan pengaruh budaya global, tradisi ini perlahan mulai ditinggalkan, terutama oleh generasi muda. Penelitian ini menganalisis keberlanjutan ruwatan melalui etika filsafat komunikasi Paul Feyerabend, khususnya perspektif relativisme kultural dan pluralisme pengetahuan. Tujuannya adalah menganalisis konsep "anything goes" dalam epistemologi Feyerabend untuk memahami mengapa budaya ruwatan tetap dilestarikan di era modern. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis literatur dan pengamatan media sosial, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa, meskipun dianggap mistis dan tidak relevan, ruwatan tetap eksis dan dapat disesuaikan dengan nilai-nilai modern, berkat peran media sosial dalam memperkenalkan dan melestarikannya. Secara teoritis, pemikiran Feyerabend memberikan validasi filosofis bagi ruwatan, tidak hanya dalam kerangka budaya Jawa tetapi juga sebagai solusi spiritual universal. Secara praktis, penelitian ini menyoroti adaptabilitas tradisi lokal dan potensi media sosial dalam pelestarian budaya di tengah perubahan zaman.

This study aims to examine the role of social media in increasing brand awareness of newly established hotels in Semarang City that have been operating for a maximum of three years. The research is based on the growing importance of social media as an effective digital promotional tool, especially for new hotels that have yet to establish a strong reputation in the market. A qualitative approach was used with a case study method involving three new hotels: REZ Hotel Semarang, NusaTu Hotel, and KoenoKoeni Hotel. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with marketing managers and hotel guests, observation of social media activities, and digital documentation. The findings show that social media plays a significant role in shaping public perception of hotel brands through visual content, storytelling, and direct user interaction. All three hotels experienced an increase in followers, user engagement, and bookings from social media, particularly during the first six months of operation. Although challenges such as limited human resources and content consistency were noted, social media strategies proved effective and efficient in building brand awareness. These findings highlight the strategic importance of social media in the digital marketing of new hotels.

Inflation is one of the challenges of the economy that has a significant impact on the management of the Regional Budget, including in Medan City. The weakening of people's purchasing power and private fiscal capacity often occurs due to the increase in the price of goods and services. This impact not only leads to regional fiscal accounting, but also to infrastructure development and public services. This study aims to analyze the role of the e-Budgeting system as a tool to mitigate the impact of inflation on the Medan City Regional Budget. The analysis framework uses a quantitative approach with literature study techniques and policy analysis. The results of the study show that e-Budgeting is very effective in increasing the efficiency of budget planning, the accuracy of fund allocation and transparency of regional financial management. This e-Budgeting system will allow the government to make adjustments to priority programs affected by inflation, such as the provision of social assistance and the implementation of infrastructure development. However, its implementation in Medan has been hampered by technical incompetence and the capacity of the apparatus. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening the integration of e-Budgeting with the regional planning system and increasing training for the apparatus to maximize its role in fiscal stabilization. These findings contribute to the literature on regional financial governance and adaptive policies to macroeconomic dynamics.

This study aims to examine the role of cross-cultural communication in promoting local tourism in Tanjung Balai City. As a coastal city with ethnic and cultural diversity, Tanjung Balai serves as a dynamic interaction space for local residents, domestic, and international tourists. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method, through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that cross-cultural communication plays a crucial role in creating shared understanding, improving the quality of tourism services, and strengthening the destination's image. Harmonious cultural interactions can create a more inclusive tourism experience and expand the reach of local tourism promotion. However, challenges such as language differences, cultural stereotypes, and limited communication skills among local residents remain obstacles that need to be addressed. Therefore, a more targeted communication strategy is needed through cross-cultural training, collaboration between the government and tourism actors, and strengthening the role of the community in destination promotion. The findings of this study confirm that cross-cultural communication is a strategic factor that can increase the competitiveness and sustainability of local tourism in Tanjung Balai City.

This article explores the urgency and conceptual framework for regulating pets as collateral objects within Indonesia’s legal system to establish legal certainty that aligns with animal welfare principles. Under the civil law framework, animals are still classified as movable objects without adequate legal protection for their fundamental rights as living beings. This situation creates a legal vacuum that leads to ethical, social, and legal issues in the practice of collateral. The issues examined include the legal status of pets as collateral in Indonesia, as well as the ideal regulatory concept and model that can ensure a balance between economic value and the protection of animals' fundamental rights. This research employs a normative juridical method with a statutory approach and a comparative study of the legal systems of Turkey and Australia. The findings show that although, in theory, pets can be used as collateral due to their classification as movable property, the absence of regulation gives rise to legal, ethical, and uncertainty-related issues. Comparisons with other countries emphasize the need for an ideal regulatory model that balances economic value with the protection of animals’ fundamental rights through clear legal definitions, independent valuation, mandatory care, and humane execution procedures. Thus, this article makes a vital contribution to the development of a more just and sustainable collateral law while also strengthening Indonesia’s position in responding to international legal developments concerning animal protection.

This study aims to describe self-control among adolescent online game gamers in Medan Marelan District. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The subjects of this study were adolescent online game gamers in Medan Marelan District. The number of samples was 45 people. The data collection technique used the Incidental technique. The data collection technique employed a Likert scale model, incorporating a self-control scale. Data analysis used descriptive Frequency. The results of the data analysis showed a high level of self-control, namely 62% of respondents, 38% were in the medium category, and none were classified as low. The empirical mean value of self-control was 70.91, higher than the hypothetical mean of 58, with a standard deviation of 12, which indicates that, in general, adolescents have good self-control abilities in dealing with the urge to play games. In addition, the reliability of the self-control scale shows an Alpha coefficient value of 0.857, which means it has high internal consistency. The results of the analysis show that even though teenagers actively play online games, the majority of them are still able to control themselves well, both in terms of behavior, cognition, and decision-making.
