Abstract

Bureaucracy in Indonesia have problematic in public services performance due to lack of apparatus resources quality. Here, the solution to solve the problem cannot fixed. By using the lean thinking concept, we can improve this problem to fix it. This concept namely lean government to find best solution whether the application of Lean Government concept with Lean Consumption Map (LCM) and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). This method can be applied in public services, especially in the Indonesian ID Card service process over Department of Population and Civil Registration of South Tangerang, West Java, Indonesia. In this study, we use qualitative research methods to obtained the data based on survey, observations, interview, analysis of documents and records or reports from Department of Population and Civil Registration, South Tangerang, West Java, Indonesia. The result showed, Value to Waste Ratio increased from 9.1% to 43% while in the provider side from 7.2% to 46%. This study shows that the Lean thinking methodology can be embraced by public services to create an efficient and effective process in reducing the service process time.

Abstract

Currently, the increasingly fierce competition in the health business encourages companies to develop innovative strategies in meeting human resource needs. To capture market needs, companies must have added value to their resources, especially for the expert resources. Kamala Clinic is the main clinic providing fertility and gynaecology special health services. Under PT. Medika Sehat Utama, Kamala clinic located in the golden triangle of Bekasi city-West Java, is committed to developing fertility and gynaecology clinics by offering a guaranteed IVF program (self-insurance). Providing maximum service supported by experienced experts. To meet the dynamic needs of patients, a strong HR recruitment strategy who is always able to keep up with the times is needed. Thus, this study aims to analyse the human capital strategies at the Kamala Clinic that offers IVF programs with self-insurance. In the implements fertility specialist selection strategies to enhance the clinic's reputation. This is inseparable from the selection and recruitment to meet competency needs. Thus, these results are expected to be a reference for other IVF clinics in developing more optimal services.

Abstract

Lean is part of a growing management trend and designed to reduce administration costs also operating efficiency at companies or government sectors. Lean has a consideration concept to implement properly in public service. Thus, in this study, we analyze Lean Government in the public service sector for issuing Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) in Indonesian police. Here, we use qualitative methods to obtained data observation based on field shots, documents analysis, and notes or reports. The results showed that Lean Six Sigma be able to applied with LCM to improving the SKCK request service process by reducing the total time of service completion both from the service provider side, from 185 minutes to 30 minutes and from the service user side from 171 minutes to 40 minutes. Therefore, the percentage of value-added also increased from the service provider side from 36.8% to 40% and on the service user side the value-added percentage increased from 21.6% to 32.5%.

Abstract

SIMRS is an integrated information system activity, starting from data collection, data processing, data storage, and reporting or presentation of information on health services in hospitals. C Hospital has implemented SIMRS implementation since early 2019. The objective in this study is develop hospital management information systems in supporting the effectiveness of health services at C Hospital. Due to the importance of factors affecting SIMRS in the medical record unit, it is necessary to analyze the information system. In addition, the status of information systems is already running and the effectiveness of health services in hospitals. Thus, this study aimed to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of stakeholder satisfaction factors, processes, strategies, capabilities, and stakeholder contributions to the implementation of SIMRS in the medical record unit and to analyze the factors that inhibit and support the effectiveness of health services. This research method is use mixed method to process the data. Here, the data sources were obtained from primary data and secondary data and collected by distributing questionnaires to 90 respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. Furthermore, we also use in-depth interviews with six informants to collect the support data. Here, respondents are SIMRS users in the registration unit, outpatient care, emergency room, support, medical records, and IT officers. The results showed that the factors of stakeholder satisfaction, processes, strategies, capabilities, and stakeholder contributions had a significant positive effect on the implementation of SIMRS either partially or simultaneously. The most dominant variable affecting SIMRS implementation is stakeholder satisfaction. Increasing stakeholder satisfaction will further increase the implementation of SIMRS in the medical record unit at RSUD ā€œCā€.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine effect of origin image country and purchase intention with mediation of brand equity and brand preference. Here, we collect the data from 106 respondents who use smartphone. In this study, the data observation was analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results showed that country of origin image had negative effect on brand equity, brand equity had positive effect on the brand preference, and brand preference had an effect on the purchase intention. Please give the calculation comparation between brand equity, brand preference in purchase intention.

Abstract

The aim of this research are to establish the optimal portfolio of stocks listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index in Indonesia Stock Exchange in order to observe and measure their performance potential as a financial investment instrument for the people to invest in the capital market in Indonesia. Furthermore, this study offers a better choice in the decision making process in selecting the optimal portfolio of stocks listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index in Indonesia Stock Exchange using the modern theory of portfolio formation markowitz model and single index model. The sample used in this study is a company that always appear in the announcement of changes to the composition of stocks in the Jakarta Islamic Index in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2010-2016. The sampling method used in this research using purposive sampling method. The analysis method used in this study using wilcoxon test with statistical software. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the level of return earned by using markowitz model and single index model, and the level of return earned by using markowitz model and single index model is not higher than the risk-free asset return.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the significant influence together Knowledge, Spiritual Intelligence, and Attitude on the Quality of Work Life and the Impact on Nurse Performance in the Application of Patient Safety Targets at X Hospital either partially or simultaneously. The research methodology uses a quantitative approach with the path analysis method using the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) equation. The sampling technique was carried out by saturated sampling (census) of 111 respondents based on the total population of nurses in the inpatient room. The results showed that Knowledge, Spiritual Intelligence, and Attitude had a significant influence together on the quality of work life and their impact on nurse performance. Thus, to improve nurse performance in implementing patient safety goals at X Hospital simultaneously such as knowledge has a significant positive effect on the quality of work life of nurses, spiritual intelligence has a significant positive effect on the quality of work life of nurses, attitudes have a significant positive effect on the quality of work life of nurses, knowledge has a significant positive effect on the performance of nurses in implementing patient safety goals, attitudes have a significant positive effect on the performance of nurses in implementing patient safety goals, and the quality of work life of nurses has a significant positive effect on the performance of nurses in implementing patient safety goals with seventh hypothesis. The findings of this study are that the quality of work life of nurses has a partially mediating role in the performance of nurses in implementing patient safety goals at X Hospital with 0.666 of correlation value. This is an increase in religious activities in kinship to form emotional bonds and commitment to nurses to behave calmly and patiently in implementing the Patient Safety Goals on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Human resources are important thing for hospitals. Therefore, human resources must have a good quality of performance to achieve the vision and mission of the hospital. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the influence of organizational culture on the performance of nurses with work discipline as an intervening variable in RSUD Pesanggrahan. This research is a quantitative study with a causal research design with 44 respondents conducted on May 2019 to August 2019. The determination of the samples number using census method. Here, research variables are performed as a dependent variable, Organizational Culture as an independent variable, and Work Discipline as an intervening variable. The collecting data in this study, we use a questionnaire with technical research instruments with questionnaire in 4 levels Likert scale. Here, we analyze the data using path analysis. The results showed that the relationship between organizational culture and performance was not significant while organizational culture has a positive and significant influence on work discipline also organizational culture has an influence on the performance of nurses with work discipline in intervening variable. The managerial implications can be applied to improve work performance to increase work discipline and stronger organizational culture.

Abstract

Good employee performance is needed to achieve organizational goals and hospital success. The factors that can affect employee performance are organizational culture, work engagement, and employee loyalty. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and work engagement on employee performance with employee loyalty as an intervening variable at X Hospital, Jakarta. The design of this study is an explanatory causality study with a population of all employees at X Hospital. The sample in this study used a saturation sampling, which took all the study population as a sample, namely 68 respondents. The approach that used in this study taken by survey method that providing a questionnaire, with the measurement method using a Likert scale. The collected data were processed using descriptive and quantitative analysis tools. The testing for analyzing the data used the Path Analysis program AMOS. The results of this research showed that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (p=0.006), work engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (p=***), and employee loyalty has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (p=***), organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty (p=***), and work engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty (p=***). The findings of this study indicate that organizational culture and work engagement have an effect on employee performance which is mediated by employee loyalty.

Abstract

MPKPP is the initial step towards MPKP, this model is able to provide entry-level professional nursing care. MPKP is a method to provide nursing care in the team leader / primary nurse who is responsible for the total care of several patients goes to home. PGI Cikini Hospital used MPKPP method to improve a nursing quality to care they clients. Here, a nurses have ability to think critically high and understand the importance of a good as a nurse-patient relationship. In addition, the collaboration of health teams in the professional manner is taking action according to authority and professional responsibility in order to achieve maximum goals. Thus, in this research we conducted on implementing nurses who will carrying out functional duties and lack of cooperation between teams to provide nursing care technique. This study aims to obtain an overview of relationship between MPKPP application and job satisfaction in implementing nurses using the Chi-Square method. In this study, we use 130 respondents who were nurses implementing. The results shows only 53.8% (p = 0,000) of respondents stated that the application of MPKPP was applied, while only 53.1% (p = 0,000) stated that job satisfaction at PGI CIKINI Hospital. From the bivariate analysis obtained 4 variables such as MPKPP Implementation, Workforce, Role and Function of Nurses, Nursing Documentation which showed a significant relationship with Employee Nurse Satisfaction (p = 0,000). The MPKPP application can be increase the work satisfaction of implementing nurses in near future
