Abstract

Abror M, Tiawati E, Manurung CN, Khairunnisa M, Susilo TS, Vivin V. 2022. Biofloc technology for swamp fish. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang 27 Oktober 2022. pp. 621-627. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Swamp fish cultivation is currently a special attraction for fish farmers, but its production is still not optimally utilized, it can be increased by using a biofloc system. The biofloc system is a technology that utilizes bacteria that are able to destroy waste and maintain water quality with the advantage of being able to maximize narrow land, environmentally friendly, feed efficiency and high productivity. Therefore, the use of a biofloc system for swamp fish farming is very helpful for farmers because they can get increased yields from a limited pond area and save on feed costs. So the cultivation technology using a biofloc system is highly recommended to be developed in swamp fish farming. This study aimed to study the effect of the biofloc system on the productivity of swamp fish farming production. This activity is carried out by looking at and comparing several related scientific journals and then getting the best knowledge for the biofloc system in swamp fish.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Management that can be done to reduce attacks from fruit flies is to use various traps such as the use of traps and aromas that are favored by fruit fly pests. The purpose of this study was to determine the species in papaya planting and determine the number of insect populations in Tanjung Pering Village, Permata Baru Village, and Timbangan Village, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. The method used in this study is the nisbi method, which is a method of looking at the population of fruit fly types by using heavy traps. From the research that has been carried out, as many as 15 steiner traps were successfully installed on papaya planting land in three villages. With the samples obtained, population counting and species identification in fruit flies can be done. There were 5 traps installed in Tanjung Pering Village, 5 traps in Permata Baru Village, and 5 traps in Timbangan Village. The steiner traps set in all three villages showed a diverse number of populations. As for the identification process, the results of the inventory of fruit flies on papaya planting fields were identified as species Bactrocera carambolae and B. kandiensis. The fruit flies that have been identified have differences from morphological characters, including thoracic color, abdominal pattern or pattern, wing shape, to the color of the limbs. The conclusion of the survey conducted in 3 villages was the number of samplings with the highest population was obtained in Timbangan Village and the lowest population was obtained in Tanjung Pering Village. That's why, further research must be held on these fruit flies, so that farmers get the right solution to overcome the problem of fruit fly pests that attack papaya plantations in Ogan Ilir regency, South Sumatra.

Sari JMP, Adrian R, Lubis RB. 2022. Review: endophytic fungus as biocontrol and growth stimulator of food crops and horticulture in suboptimal land. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang 27 Oktober  2022. pp. 722-735. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The productivity of food crops and horticulture in human needs is threatened due to attacks by pests and pathogens with a total global loss around 50 up to 80%. Continuous application of pesticides in control negatively affects pest resistance, pollutes soil, water, biota, also on farmers and consumers health. This review aimed to summarize the potential of endophytic fungi that are useful as biocontrol agents and growth promoters of food and horticulture crops in suboptimal land. It is suspected that endophytic fungi in horticultural crops are the most widely reported as biocontrol agents and plant growth promoters. The scope of this paper is limited to review scientific articles based on data exploration of endophytic fungi (biology, isolation, and identification of endophytic fungi), their biological activities, and growth promoters in increasing crop productivity. Endophytic fungi are important components of plant micro-ecosystems that are widely found in healthy plant tissues such as the genera acremonium, cladosporium, beauveria, metarhizium, muscodor, periconia, ampelomyces, chaetomium, cryptosporiopsis, nodulisporium, penicillium, phomopsis, and others. Endophytic fungi produce excellent metabolites as biocontrol and growth promoting agents such as antibiotics, antivirals, antiprotozoal, antiparasitic, antioxidant, and immunosuppressant compounds that can be utilized for agricultural and food industries. More than 100 species of endophytic fungi have been reported worldwide as biocontrol and plant growth promoters. Based on the literature review, it can be concluded that endophytic fungi have great potential as biocontrol agents and growth promoters of food crops and horticulture in suboptimal land farming in a sustainable manner.
